What a great tag, Melissa!!! Left you praise, of course.

Thot of a question so I'll ask it here... What ply was the tissue? I'm surprised it held up so well & it's such a fun alternative to ribbon or fibre.

I'm glad y'all like the Kleenex! lol! I thought it was so fun to make and use!

Daniel, it is a 2-ply Kleenex brand tissue. It is just the plain, regular tissue that that company sells; not the lotion ones or extra thick one they sell.

I too was so surprised it held up! But I guess it would hold up b/c after I finished coloring it with markers, it was ~dry~ when I laid it flat before I sprayed it with water. After it was sprayed with water, I didn't touch it-----well I do have to say I ~did~ touch it b/c I thought I could heat the tissue with a heat gun to speed the drying process up---that actually took awhile to dry anything on the tissue so I spread it back out on the table real carefully and gently and just left it. Lifting it up off the table, did mix some of the colors too.

The more I sprayed the tissue with water, the more it would bleed in places--so that was neat that you could control some of the "coloring". You could also spray water back over a place a minute or 2 later and it would bleed further.

Heidi, I thought of you actually when I was making the tie-dye Kleenex---I thought how you and your son I think would have lots of fun creating with just folds, markers, Kleenex, and water. And as long as it is somewhere out of the way, the kleenex is just left to dry, so not much risk for tearing it.

I hereby nominate myself as the worst swap partner ever Daniel, I am so sorry that I mailed yours so late. As I told you before, it has been completed for quite sometime. I kept forgetting to take it to the post office and then last week I got sick and now my kids have the stomach virus Anyway, I dropped the little tag off at the post office myself this morning on the way to the pharmacy, and it is now on it's way to live with you. I really hope that you like it, because maybe then you won't think I'm such a bad swap partner after all

April! You are free to 'nominate' yourself. but I doubt anyone here will second your nomination. Get in line for 'worst' & 'get well'.

Melissa. TY on the feedback about the Kleenex 'ribbon'. Really want to be witty, but not 'snotty' about using heavyweight noseblowers! 'Ah choose' not to go that route. Gesundheit, pal!

I enjoyed looking at the new tags in the gallery.

Christin, I also wondered immediately how you printed on the post it note.

Melissa, that is really nice that you thought of us when you were doing the ribbon. I know when we do regular tie dying, we are always looking for ways to use of the dye!

Great set of tags this month! Looks like we all had fun with the school supplies!

A couple have asked how I printed on a post-it note...

It's super simple, but I would never have thought of it if I hadn't read it somewhere! Print the sentiment on normal A4 paper, then line up your post-it (or tag or whatever) over the printed words and stick it on with washi tape. Then run it through the printer again! Voila! I also did this with vellum for my April tag.

And Heidi, the "Kraft" I used is a cereal box! That's why I stuck pp on the back, to cover the packaging design.

As I say in my praise... I don't usually sweat doing 'masculine' or 'feminine' projects, but Beady's has a great Male look!

Got my tag from April (CG). As I told her in a note, I'm not a big fan of 'cute', but I do really like the tag. She did an excellent job on it!

Another great month for a great swap!

No worries big guy I'm still trying to get my comments caught up from when I was sick!

And it's funny that you mentioned the boy's eyes....it was the same thought I had after I ordered it. That's the one thing I hate about those stamps.
