I'm off tomorrow for the holiday! I can't wait to work on Project Life and relax all day.

Caro: DH and I LOVE The Walking Dead!! I can't wait until Season 4 starts in October.

Melissa: Have fun decorating!!

Jamie and Sarah: Welcome! I'm Stephanie, 26 (27 later this month) and I live in Texas with my husband, Chris. I've been scrapping for 13 years. Sarah, this is my 2nd full year of doing Project Life and I'm loving it!

Monica: Have fun in Oregon! I'm so jealous! Take lots of pictures and check in when you can

Bailey: I got the Honey cardstock pack for ya, woot! I'll send them out Friday.

Sarah, welcome.. My bio is somewhere above

Caro, is there not a school board website that you can apply on? Here in BC we have a website where you can apply for any public schools in BC.

Ugh so Jonny wants to put a "spare" bed in my scrap room. NOT happy about that, it'll cut down a lot of space as its only about 8x8.
Moms or clean freaks of the group, carpet smells from the old roomie... I did baking soda for two days and nothing helped. Don't know if a steam cleaner will help? Would like to save money though since I have most of summer off

Wow, this thread moves so fast!! Will have to try to catch up, but I've been busy. I started working this week, and man is it tiring! This is my first full time job, so I'm trying to adjust to the 8-hr work day. Plus, commutes have not been fun at all. I've already walked home twice this week due to insane traffic/buses not coming (that's almost 3 miles each time!) So glad I have tomorrow off.
Any of the American girls have any special plans for july 4th? still debating whether i wanna go and see fireworks, as it will be really crowded and lots of security because of the bombings a few months ago.

Anyway, I went through some of the thread, and see that there are lots of new girls. Welcome!! I'm Michelle, 19 and studying graphic design and marketing, though I'll be working full time for the next six months for a small company.

Caro and Steph - I LOVE THE WALKING DEAD. Joe and I just decided we are getting cable! I am SO EXCITED.
And thank you Steph you are the best cousin ever! Tell me how much I owe you and also need a little list of things you have your eye on cause someone's bday is a few days after mine

Jamie and Sarah - Welcome! I just joined this message a few days ago per my cousin, Steph who is on the message board as well.

And I'm with Steph. I'm off tomorrow and when I am not studying for my Spanish final for Friday I plan on getting my first page of Project Life done. I am really pumped. And right now I'm working on uploading some photos of the project I'm also working on.

@Melissa I've heard that cut up raw onions can help absorb smells aparently painters use them to ge tthe new paint smell out of a house. You have to leave them out for a few days and then just throw them away.

Michelle, glad to hear your new job is going well. I totally understand about the fireworks. If that happened in Vancouver (which apparently there was a scare on Canada day) I wouldn't go out.

Stacy, oh I've never heard of that! Thanks for the tip

Happy 4th of July!!

Loni: Congratulations!!! I saw his picture on Instagram and he is precious!

Caro: I hope one of those calls pans out into a job for you!

No big plans here today. I plan on scrapping, work on PL and we are going to grill hamburgers. I'm undecided if I want to go to see fireworks tonight or not. I wish it wasn't a work night, boo.

I'm married to a beyond amazing guy and we have two furry children (bunnies). We live in the western suburbs of Illinois in our amazing little apartment. I also design for Practical Scrappers. Nice to (re)meet everyone!

Happy 4th of July, American Girls!!!
So...

Monica: How's Oregon??? Have fun!!

Ruthie: Hi!! Nice to meet you, I'm 21, a student, from Israel and super new here.

Sarah: welcome!! Can't wait to see your PL! I'm not a project lifer but really enjoy seeing other people's spreads.

Melissa: thanks for telling us about Loni's baby!!!

Loni: congratulations!!!! I've been thinking of you.

Michelle: good luck with your new job. I haven't had a full time job yet but contemplate looking for one and I'm nervous about the new schedule... kind of scary.

Caro: happy to hear about those agencies! Good luck. I absolutely LOVE my teddy bear too and he sits on my bed all the time. And YOOHOO for distance learning!! I'm doing my Bachelor's Degree through the Open University and I love it SO MUCH.

Kelly: hi, Kelly!! Welcome back!

I hope I didn't forget anyone. I'm sorry if I did, I missed kind of a lot here.

Today I had my last final for this semester!!! It's SUCH a relief... This semester had its awful moments and I'm so happy it's over... and thankful that I did manage to keep my head above water (most of the time) and that the finals went well. I hope to go to bed early tonight and wake up early tomorrow - it's my first day of vacation!

Melissa: I have played around with the stamps. There is one happiness one that says happpines with an extra p- did you know that?

I have them out, but didn't have good quality stamping ink to use on projects. I have remedied that and will try to get them on a layout soon!

Hello new gals! I am Rachel, 28, wife to Ry, mother to Millie (9 months) and Eureka (feline). I work full time with at risk youth/families and spend free time playing with paper and paint!

Faf: Thank you! I would love to see Israel someday. My grandparents have been, and the photos and stories were wonderful!

TGIF! I am on call this weekend, but it should be a good weekend regardless. I am meeting up with one of my friends from Tennessee that I haven't seen in over a year. She is getting married ( on Millie's first birthday) and we are going to work on decorations together and go shopping tomorrow.

Then my inlaws will be here- my mother is having surgery on Tuesday and will not be able to care for millie for two weeks. So my MIL is coming to help is out.

Happy Friday ladies!

I am so looking forward to the weekend. It felt really weird coming to work this morning after being off yesterday. This morning it felt like Monday, but I'm so glad it's not!

I will be working on PL tonight, visiting my in-laws tomorrow afternoon and then hopefully more scrapping tomorrow night and most of Sunday. I am determined to get caught up on PL!

Caro: Can you create a check box for the July challenges when you get a chance? Thanks!

Bailey: I won't be able to get to the post office today, so I'll send your Honey cardstock pack out tomorrow!

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies!! This is the first message board I have ever joined so forgive me if it takes me a minute to get the hang of things!

Loni: Congratulations on your new baby!! Scrapping baby pictures is the BEST! Is this your first?

Rachael: One of my favorite things is planning parties, weddings, etc. and of course making the party favors, décor, etc. Have fun!

Sarah & Stephanie: I have not yet tried Project Life as I am so busy that I'm not sure I can commit to an everyday thing but I love the concept and love that more companies are coming out with similar sectioned page protectors, journaling cards, etc.

Caro: I am 33 and just now figuring out what I want to do. Don't stress it, it will come to you!

Melissa: I would not be happy about the spare bed in my craft room either!

So, my morning started out just a bit crazy... My 2 year old, Brody is our wild child that is all over the place & into everything. Well, this morning about 7:30, I woke up and didn't hear him and he was not in his crib. Still didn't panic because he can climb out of his crib and climb the baby gate at his door (yes, we try to put him on lock down.. lol..) and will a lot of times go downstairs and start playing but I usually am already up. We were up late last night because of the 4th so we slept in a bit this morning. Well, as I come downstairs to look for him, I see that our front door is wide open! Yes, he just learned how to unlock our front door on Wednesday. The first thing on our agenda today was to go buy a latch for the doors. Well, after not finding him directly out in front of the house or at our neighbors, pure panic set in and I quickly called 911. Luckily, someone had found him wondering around about a block and a half away from our house and called the police. An officer waited there with him until my husband went to pick him up. He wasn't crying but had this shocked, scared look on his face. It was probably the scariest moment yet as a mom. We are SO lucky he is home safely and did not get hurt. He told me he was going to the park! I just wanted to share that story to share just a tad bit of what my life is like at times... Hopefully I can get a few minutes to myself in my craft room today.

Hope you all are having a FAB day!

Jamie, glad Brody is safe and sound! Sounds like you need baby proof doorknobs... The 2 year old I'm a nanny for has just learned to open doors too. There's a set of stairs to go to his playroom and I'm terrified he's going to open it and fall down (god forbid)

BIG move tomorrow! Ill be all set up with my scrapbook stuff Sunday!

Melissa: this one is for us: http://pinterest.com/pin/22940279321963485/ and good luck with the move and all!!

Jamie: phew... being a mom can be scary... so happy Brody is safe.

Michelle: I'm planning to go to Jerusalem a few times, I have so many things to do there: visit my brothers, visit a friend, hang out with my sister who studies there, and generally enjoy my favorite city. Also planning to scrapbook (of course) and cross things off my to do list, like reorganize some of my stuff, run errands that I didn't have time to take care of during the busy semester and so on. Oh, and relax too... My next semester will start in the fall and maybe I'll start working then too, so I want to fully enjoy this vacation first.

Hey gals! We have been shopping all day!

Started at M's and helped my friend pick put decorations for her wedding in September. It is on the beach and will be rather small, so we are keeping things simple. I will be assembling the decorations then helping set up for her. I much prefer that role to being a bridesmaid.

Headed back home for the last night of our play and then visiting with the in laws!

ALL moved in! We moved everything from my parents house into the UHaul, but I have my huge scrapbook table and dresser that I couldn't help Jonny carry up the stairs to the apt... Luckily one of the guys helped us for a case of corona hahah!

Everything is finding its home slowly but surely. VERY tired from moving all day, the heat doesn't help either!

Tomorrow we are painting my room. Just a very light grey/blue. We would have done it today, but didn't make it back in time before the closing hour.

Faf, haha I definitely had a couple moments of swearing during the move. Didn't blow up from frustration though

Jamie, Baby J is my 5th. How many kids do you have? Brody will think that story is hilarious when he's older. Not funny now though, right?

Bailey, I'm probably late to weigh in on the card kit idea, but if I were giving one away or making one for me, I would include card bases cut and scored, a 6x6 pp pad, adhesive, pen, coordinating embellies, envelopes and sentiment stamps.

Probably not any differet than what they said, but now I want to put one together!

I'm sure I missed a lot so if I missed anything directed to me ask again! And thanks so much for the well wishes. We are doing great! He is just perfect, I am absolutely in love.

Thanks ladies! We are definitely feeling very lucky that Brody is home safe. It was a crazt experience that has left us in shock this weekend. If only he could tell us about his little adventure... lol...

Melissa: Glad your move went well! How exciting to start a whole new craft room!

Loni: Brody is my 3rd. I also have a 14 year old son, Joey & a 10 year old daughter, Kaili.

Rachel: We installed latches on our doors but just ordered door alarms too!

I plan to be busy for most of the day getting my craft room in order. I just received a big order with lots of new products but I can't work on anything unless things are organized.

I'm also going to post a huge giveaway on my blog today... Was hoping you ladies could help me decide which would be the best giveaway prize. Both prize options I'm giving away completely free. All anyone has to do is enter (no purchase required, etc). Option 1) Winner's Choice of 2 CTMH Cricut Cartridges ($99 value each) + their choice of 5 Coordinating Stamp Sets (up to $90 value). OR Option 2)A $150 CTMH Shopping Spree where they can choose whichever products they want. I know the Cricut cartridges are popular but I want my giveaway to appeal to everyone. Let me kniw what you all think,

Hope everyone's having a great day!!

And thank you ladies for the ideas! I can't wait to start building. Any more ideas keep coming!

Well, accomplished a canvas this weekend using flowers and a stencil that my friends sent me so I guess that counts as using my new goodies...
Check it out here: Dream Canvas

Stacy: That counts!

Everyone: For the challenge, if you don't have any new/recently purchased products that is OK. You can also use products that you have that maybe you haven't used yet.

Anyway, I think the reveal of the DT will be July 15, so i'll send you guys the link when it goes up officially!!!

Happy Monday! I hope you all have a great week!

My mother is having surgery tomorrow- if you would hold her in your thoughts/prayers- I would appreciate it greatly!

I will pray for you and your mom, Rachel. I hope it goes smoothly and that she recovers quickly!

Congrats Michelle!

Plans for the week everyone? Are we having a CHA party in a couple weeks?

Rachel, I'm sure your mom will be fine! Sending positive thoughts and hugs

Loni, I think we should have a party(s)! Could do stuff just like we did on NSD?
