Loni: I thought it was slightly more special than that... (: I thought maybe 2peas sent you an email with some special announcement or something like that. I say you should take advantage of the 20% off sale and buy yourself some lovely things...

I vote for July 19-31!

I took a 4 day weekend the 26th-29th. I'll be at the crop the 26th-early afternoon the 28th...so that weekend I'll be around Sunday afternoon and all of Monday!

Rachel, I saw your comment on my YT video... Do you mean do I use one sheet on pattern paper for 2 layouts (like double sided)?

I'm good either week. If we do it in the week of the 19th I would still have stuff left from my June Citrus Twist kit to work with. If we do it a week later, I'll have to dig through my stash.

Here's my latest layout: The Wandering Bear

hi girls!!

@faf: interesting all this philosophy /thought stuff! thanks for the links!!
sorting LOs and realising that you are missing albums and page proctectors is a pain, it happen to me all the time, and the worse is that I only unse 1 type of album and page protectors which I can only find in France and it is so expensive....

@Steph, melissa, loni, rachel, everyone: YEAH for the super long YS CHA challenge !!!
from the 19 to 31?!!! problem is that evening for you guys means middle of the night for everyone else

@tessa: hi nice to met you, I am Caro, French living in London, England, neawly qualified secondary MFL teacher, looking for a job, my boyfriend is Irish and I love travelling, scrapbooking, ...

@christina: can't wait to see your pictures?? what is LSAT book??
really cool LO!!!

@melissa: yayyy for scrapbooking!!!
love your project share video, what kind of camera do you have, and how do you film yourself??
Love the idea of scrapping both sides of the papers... i never do it but this is a good idea (is it not a problem is you are using brads?
thanks for the answer about the alpha! the finish looks so good!!

@serena: cool LO! love the idea of scrapbooking about the bear!

Serena, your style reminds me of Shimelle's style, you know? (: And I LOVE the colors and patterns you used! Is the camera paper from the Maggie Holmes collection? And the floral paper behind the title? They are so pretty!!

Caro, okay, this IS a serious pain. I don't mind having all kinds of albums in different colors and types (I actually love it), so it's a lot simpler for me...

Regarding scrapping on both sides of the paper when using brads - you can just cut off the prongs of the brads and use adhesive to attach it. Then you won't have any problem when you want to scrap on the other side of the paper. Hope this helps (:

Melissa, her Signature Series book is pretty cool, but nothing extraodinary... I got it for free, so I can't complain, but I probably wouldn't buy it myself now. Also, my birthday is in September, so I'll still have to wait a little bit to get my Cameo! And this is the sewing machine I bought: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000F7DPEQ/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Oh, and awesome projects from your video share!! I was surprised by your two layouts on one paper, too - do you always do that?

I'm up for any days for the CHA party!

And I have lots of new layouts up that I just uploaded:

Always love your LOs, Michelle!

hi girls
posting twice in a day: CRAZY !!!

@Serena, I had a look through your blog and go hooked on 2 classes : Find your Voice from Rukristin and Break it down from Shimelle. I signed up for both of them (even though Shimelle's one finishes this week lol)

@Rachel: talking about Find your Voice, I remembered that you did the cover of an album for it, are you still following the ecourse? do you like it, what have you done so far??

@Loni: I guess in the afternoon for me so morning/lunch for you guys. I don't know how many hours difference we have, in the UK we have summer time now which means GMT+1 + and Dee would be GMT+2, dunno about Faf in Israel...

@faf: thanks for your answers! I never thought of scrapbooking both sides of a LO!

@Michelle: what a lot of LOs!! I really need to scrapbook more...

You girls are so funny/amazed by the double page LOs!

Rachel, the easiest way I can explain it is - one sheet of Kraft for two LOs... Hope that makes sense. I can explain on live chat one day lol

Serena, thanks for watching! I just use my iPad. I may start using Jonny's photography equipment if he lets me. Answered the question above ^ I don't use brads often so no real issue but I will use plyers (sp) and cut the prongs off

Michelle, what is it about, I don't want to buy it if it doesn't have many LOs/inspiration. Does it have LOs?
Thanks for watching, and yes I always do that! Saves some paper and moola I always use Kraft as the main paper for my travel LOs so why waste 2 pieces?!
Great LOs too!

Time conversions: Israel is 10 hours ahead of me (pacific time)

I have a fun challenge idea for the CHA party!

Going to be at a wedding all day tomorrow, a typical wedding then Greek Orthodox then reception. Jonny's band is playing which kinda sucks bc I won't know anyone there so while he's playing I'll have to be socializing
Sunday my sister is leaving for Bali for 3 weeks! Jealous

Melissa: I am inspired to do that now! I am going to use the back of my most recent layout for a second page. I don't know why that never came to me! I will just be mindful of stapling and such.
You mentioned breaking the parts off brads- I always do that because I hate punching/poking holes for the brads.

about the YS CHA party, which time is more convenient with all of you? Evening are difficult for me because my scrap area is in the living room so when I scrap everyone is home won't be able to do the chat.

@Melissa: thanks for all your answers!

Good morning!

What does everyone have planned today? Chris and I are about to go to a late morning movie. Then we are going to the grocery store. I've got to get back to my workout routine and back to eating healthy, so I have nice list of healthy lunches, dinners and snacks! When we get done with our errands I'm going to scrap the rest of the day!

Will anyone else be around later today?

Steph, I might scrap later today. I weighed myself yesterday. Ihave a goal for my bday in 6 weeks. Time to dust off the elliptical, haha. Good luck with your health goals!

I feel so out of the loop - what's going on with all this CHA stuff?!!

So I got home late Thursday night, went to work Friday morning, unpacked after work, and then crashed last night. AND I slept until 11 today! Still battling the post-vacation blues. Always hard to come back to normal life...

Ok, I think this is where we are at for the CHA party:

It's going to be a mega-crop from the 20th-31st.
Chats
Video chat when we have 4+
Challenges by 2peas, recipe challenges (do we want more or is that enough?)
Also, a hostess on the thread for each day

So weigh in here if I missed anything or if you want to add something. Shall we sign up Monday for hosting? - you new girls don't need to sign up, but can just participate if you want.

@Monica I truly understand the post vacation blues I go through every time. It's just I love doing things at my own pace no worries and just relaxing.

@Caro everything about you is very interesting. I've always loved the French language since studying it all through high school. My career plan at that time was to be a foreign interpreter. But unfortunately I had a guidance counselor that have me no direction. My dream is to get to France at some point in my life. I actually have a co-worker headed there next week.

I'm off to dinner with my hubby, DD and in-laws for my FIL's birthday. have a great weekend everyone!!

For the CHA party, I'm not sure if i'll be able to participate in anything during the week, but i'll try for the weekends!

Monica, Amy's book does have plenty of layouts, and some from other scrapbookers too. The reason I'm not totally in love with the book is because I like to see techniques and design principles rather than just examples of layouts. But if that's what you wanted, then I think it would be a great book for that!

My sewing machine came yesterday and I spent an hour learning how to use it (never used one before). I was so happy about it, so I added it to a LO i was working on as well as a card
Today Dan and I went to see Despicable Me 2 and then showed some friends-of-a-friend from Singapore and India around Boston. I might have some friends coming over later, but if not, I might scrap some! Hope you guys are having an awesome weekend

We have daylight saving time now so we are +3, but I don't think I'll be able to participate in the video chats.

Caro, your cards are amazing! And I use gel glue to attach the brads if I cut the prongs off.

Good morning!!

I will be staying in and scrapping today. We are having super rare weather for July in Texas - it's cloudy, rainy and cool out - such a nice break from the 95+ hot weather we have been having lately. It is supposed to be cooler all week; I'm so looking forward to it!

Melissa - finally got around to watching your video share on YT. Like the other girls I'm also fascinated that you scrap on both sides of your paper. I would be so nervous about messing up the second layout! (though it does solve the problem of what to do when you like both sides of a paper)
And do you scrap in chronological order? Or do you just store them in whatever order you make them? Since you scrap on both sides, it means you can rearrange them later?
Oh, and I love your wedding card design! Can I "steal" them? I have a few weddings I've got to go to this year.

Faf - thanks for that, I majorly love Shimelle and watch so many of her videos that I'm more than inspired by her layouts (her style is probably permanently embedded in my creative brain somehow). My layouts wants to grow up to be just like hers XD
And yes, the two papers you've pointed out are from the Maggie Holmes collection, the floral one is from the 6x6 pad. I think I got the 12x12 sheet and the 6x6 pad from one of my kit clubs.

Michelle - loved your layouts!
For the scooperball layout, did you spray the doily with mist, or did you paint it?
And the link to the My Helper layout isn't working for me...

Caro - Break It Down is so much fun! I still haven't started Find Your Voice though, still trying to finish two Big Picture Classes that I lagged a bit behind on. I really need to stop over estimating the number of hours I have in a day...

Steph - good for you with the healthy eating. I have to confess that I just ate cookie and cream ice cream for dinner today...

Monica - completely feel for you. Always seems that you need a few days after a vacation to "rest up" before going to work.

Loni - thanks for setting the date! I also won't be able to do any chatting during the week, but will try to pop in during the weekends.

Had a very non-scrappy weekend. Slept in way way late on Saturday and then went to watch World War Z with my bf. Really really liked it. You could feel the whole cinema tensing up at the same time and letting out a breath as one when the "suspense" moments were over.

Then this morning I had to wake up at the crack of dawn to get ready for a photo shoot. My friend's a cosplayer and she invited me to join her for a photo shoot with her photography friends. She was doing a vampire-theme shoot and I was doing a Goth Lolita. An hour with make up and hair, half an hour to drive to the place, then three hours of photo shoot, lunch then drive back. I was dead tired by the time I got home. Slept till 9pm. Now my internal clock is all over the place and I'll be so dead for work tomorrow.

Serena - Thanks! For the doily, it honestly came out like that not on purpose.. I used it for two different layouts as masks, both with spray inks. It happened that it ended up being a really cool ombre effect, so I decided to use it on another LO! hehe.

Loni, everything sounds good. According to my calendar, I believe I will be able to participate most days...
I'll do a recipe challenge and can do a little giveaway for a game (maybe like the "show me" game Monica did on NSD)

Caro, I use glossy accents for brands w/o prongs

Serena, when I mess up the back, that's when I use a diff piece of paper lol. Yes, I scrap chronological. Since I currently only scrap my travels (so many photos) I organize them in chronological order by place in an index card box. Go ahead and "steal" the card idea, Im glad I can give you some inspiration!

Jonny and I went to the wedding last night. It was nice. However the reception kinda sucked for me because Jonny and I sat alone - the table was supposed to be for the band but they didn't show up until they had to play as they didn't know the bride and groom like us. Then I didn't really dance or anything because I didn't know ANYONE except the band and they were the only music because traditional Greek music. We didnt get home until 4 so we slept until 11:30... Now we are looking for flights down to Mexico for a wedding in November, then heading to my parents to see my sister as she leaves for Bali tonight.

Michelle, The hostess will just be the boss for the day, keep us motivated with a discussion, game or challenge - but remember 2peas and other sites will have challenges.

About the card swap, Rachel, you're the swap master Any suggestions? I was thinking of trading 2 sets of designs. That's about as far as I got. haha. what do you think? I'll specify a size and i have everyone include envelopes.

Sounds fun, Loni. Would you sent two sets for each member of the swap?

Yes, I have an ulterior motive, so I want more cards. Do I need to set anymore guidelines, like what you put into it? Or should we just have freedom to do whatever you want?

I've been planning a bunch of crazy stuff for the rest of July. I've got wine-and-cheese parties with the work girls, birthday parties, my boyfriend is coming up, lunch with the best friends... it's been crazy planning. Plus I (finally) started my LSAT book (the LSAT is the law entrance exam, so I'm doing a prep book), I've been knitting a scarf and making beaded wrap bracelets, working pretty much every day since I got back, and attempting to scrap. It's been insane. Fun, but absolutely insane. So I hope it calms down and I can join you ladies for the CHA thing.

what time would the chat start on the Friday? I could do the 26th probably but it wouldn't be until I got home from work

hi girls
sorry I was not only the past 3 days
It is always difficult for me to come on WE, and yesterday I had another interview (no news yet...)

@Steph: good luck with your healthy plans!
weather wise in London it is completely the opposite and I love it!! Sunny and hot! just missing a swimming pool or the sea!!

@Loni: ok I will pop in and say that I am scrapbooking!! or cardmaking, probably not on WE though. I will keep the morning for my Spanish lessons (did my first assignment today, need to send it) while you are all sleeping and then crafting in the afternoon!
for YS CHA party where can I sign up ???

@Monica: welcome back, yes I understand that you feel down after coming back from holidays

@Tessa: everything about me is interesting ???? this is a first lol is it just ecause I am French??

@Michelle: can we see the results of LO and Cards made with your new sewing machine??!!!

@Rachel: enjoy busy time with family !!
card swap???

@Serena: love your sentence I really need to stop over estimating the number of hours I have in a day... this is so like me!!

@everyone: thank you so much for your comments on my cards!

@hodge: no I did not draw them, I dunno how to draw AT ALL
wow busy lady !!! ENJOY!!

@Melissa: nice video! do you know how much you spend every month on products?? Ragarding your videos, I much prefer Project share rather than haul's videos, but maybe it is just me

@Jill: hi!

YS CHA MEGA CROP PARTY
me monday 22 and friday 26!!!
what is a recipe challenge???
I need more exanations for the card swap, how does it work (I am a bit lost to be honest)
as hostess for the challenges if we find other challenges somewhere else can we guide other YS there as a challenge or not

just saw Stazy's reply:
for Friday 26, I could do the "day" time and Stazy could do the "evening" one, because after a certain hour I won't be able to be online (too late for Europe)

I also put Loni's time frame on the 1st post (at the end of it in black)

I'm updating our hostess list. Melissa, did I invent that you wanted the 23? haha, I'll remove you're name there. Stacy, is sharing the 26 ok with you?

Caro, the card swap will be making cards of the same design (or 2 designs) and then we swap and you end up with a variety. Does that explain it better?
re: challenges from 2peas and other sites, I think that's a great idea to spotlight one on your day.
re: recipe challenges. They are something we have done on live chat. We all create a LO following a "recipe". It's really fun how we come up with different designs with the same products and it is the fastest I ever scrap. Perhaps when we are done with those the hostess can post her recipe for those who missed it live?
