I am in the freezer. Still cleaning and organizing my stuff. I have even created a pile to share with friends. I now know that I will not need to buy Atg refills for years... And I do have envelopes... I don't need to buy another stamp until I use the ones that I already own at least once. I found a box of unfinished projects just waiting for some attention. I am surprised by how many mini albums I have waiting to be filled with photos... And somehow I bought all the stuff for project life but haven't started it. Maybe I should just try doing project July. I am going to a crop on the 13th so maybe i will make a dent on the unfinished box...Anyone frozen or semi frozen out there with me?

|Posted: 7/4/2013 7:41:34 AM|July is a bad time to be frozen for me - especially with CHA coming. I should freeze, but it seems to never work. I hope it goes well for you, and good luck finishing up those projects!!

I'll join you in the freezer! I have everything I need for July except for about 5 pieces of paper that I can buy at the LSS.
|Posted: 7/4/2013 8:40:20 AM|I really SHOULD be frozen. BUT, there are so many new things coming out this month! So, maybe August. Or September. I'm awful!

I will cuddle up with ya there in the freezer too! I spent entirely toooooooo much money from march to june. Like in the $1000.00 range!! Ya!! BAD!!! I saved all my receipts and I could not believe it!!! I was just curious to see how much I spent in a year. I had such a huge pile of receipts that I added them up and stuck them on a paper and that's how bad it turned out!! So far I don't like to much of the new stuff so maybe I will be ok the rest of the year!!
|Posted: 7/4/2013 10:23:19 AM|
The combo of sales on the "newly old" stuff plus all the new stuff is just too tempting for me...
|Posted: 7/4/2013 10:32:15 AM|
I am frozen now because of life circumstances but I will allow myself to buy alittle bit of fall and Christmas IF I absolutely love a collection. So far, from what I am seeing, I do not care for any of the sneak peeks.

I am cutting fabric that I bought years ago into 1" strips for Locker Hooking pot holders.
Room is in a disarray because I unloaded my Expedit. Waiting to cut all the fabric before putting stuff away.
Then hopefully by August I will be able purchase some Jetmax cubes.
Right now I am only getting pics printed.

Good luck everyone! I am not completely frozen, but I wanted to share that I started keeping a spreadsheet of what I spend and it REALLY makes me not want to buy anything. I hate to see that number grow, so I really think twice before spending.

I also need to be frozen until October or maybe more because we need to save money to move. I think it will be the first time in my life that I will have to be this frozen. I honestly scared and sad . Sad because I really wanted some Neon stuff and happy because I finally recognize me inspiration issue: I need to stop looking into buying stuff instead of creating.

I was supposed to get custom window treatments for the living room with those funds...oh well, I could live another month or two without blinds or drapes.
|Posted: 7/4/2013 12:57:25 PM|I'm crawling to the very, very back, on Saturday. Tomorrow, I am picking up 19 jars of embossing powder from a friend for $10. Nope, no typos in that great price. Last weekend I bought over 600 sheets of SU cardstock (for cards) for $23.
My room is overflowing and it's time to stop buying. I hope to stay frozen until October, when I got to a weekend long crop.

I am going back to being frozen. i allowed myself to thaw for a bit but now I am back to the deep freeze. My room is organized and ready for action. I recently sorted my paper and boy do I have a lot! I am refreezing until September except for printing and adhesive. Good luck with your freeze!
|Posted: 7/4/2013 1:04:59 PM|I am frozen too. I started putting away a huge order I got a little while from here and am sick about the amount of stuff I own. Everything is organized and everything, I just need to dig in and start using it. no more buying for me!!
|Posted: 7/4/2013 1:05:06 PM|
I figure that by the time I am ready to thaw a little the new CHA stuff will be on sale. I am wondering if I can make this year's Christmas cards with paper/ stuff I already have - there should really be enough. I guess I will be having a "kit" challenge with my own stash. Just this morning I found more Heidi Swapp stuff that I did not know I owned... It's sad... My neglected stash.

|Posted: 7/4/2013 5:15:19 PM|I'm doing the best I can to join you. I put myself in a sequin group buy, but it only cost me $4. I may or may not need Copic refills, but that's a necessity like adhesive for me. Aside from that? I'm clinging on and digging my fingers in. DH gets three paychecks in August so I'm trying to hold out until then so I can legitimize my $200 a month habit! I'm trying my very best not to look at sales emails and whatnot, and CHA stuff isn't for months, so I'm *should* be okay for this month.
I am *dying* with wanting for a set of watercolour pencils though!
|Posted: 7/4/2013 7:08:43 PM|I am definitely in the freezer . . . for now. We're going to Hawaii in August and I will just HAVE to get some goodies to scrap those photos!
BTW, great deal, JeanneLove!

I was going to be a frozen pea but then I got a call yesterday from my LSS saying that my 12x12 crate paper Pier collection pad was in. I had asked them to order it about a month ago but the lady said "the lady who places our orders is out. I will let you know if we can get it." I figured they forgot... so that is me, not quite frozen.
|Posted: 7/5/2013 12:49:14 AM|I need to be locked in the freezer. I'm meeting a girl in the morning to buy some more stuff for my dd. I just bought her a mermaid set for her 6 month photos and still have to pay the photographer. This month the budget is very slim.
I need to place a photo order before I hit 200 photos. I need some white cardstock. I need adhesive.
I want the bella blvd baby girl collection. I want more washi. In girly colors so I can make flags and banners with it. I don't have any paper for my July 4th photos but I won't get them scrapped for a long time yet so no worries there. I keep seeing stuff I WANT SO BAD but I have so much stuff I am literally overwhelmed.
And I'm sure when I bought it I thought it was something I would use right away. Piles of brand new stuff. Never been touched since I bought it. I need to purge and organize!!!! Someone come help me!
|Posted: 7/5/2013 4:06:05 AM|I am attempting being semi-frozen for July. I get a scrapbook and card kit so plan to get those but that is all! I am hoping to scrap instead of shop this month I am looking to maybe buy a new camera or lens...so trying to save up for that... Trying to keep in mind the quote someone posted on another thread...something like "Don't sacrifice what you want for what you want right now."
|Posted: 7/5/2013 6:02:04 AM|I am frozen and should've been since January, but I guess I just don't get around to being frozen. Well, I am officially there, LOL. My DH is retiring from the Air Force in 11 months so we are basically freezing everything except money going TO VISA, humph, I could've sworn it should not go that way but, I guess he is insisting, LOL.
Next March, hopefully when his new job will start, watch out, there will be nothing left for others to buy!

I won't even look at CHA sneaks because I really want to use my stash.
I have been avoiding sneaks like the plague too! I hated that after winter CHA I was so obsessive about getting some collections I had seen. Now I figure I'll see things when they hit stores, and if I like them I will purchase them then. No more staking stores when I think they are scheduled to get a product in so I can get it before it sells out!

Okay, dumb question, but does "frozen" refer to shopping or to scrapping? I always see these posts, but I don't know what they mean...
I might be frozen. I went from scapping twice WEEKLY to haven't scrapped since May because work/life got so crazy with vacations, etc. Of course, I kept shopping a little bit, but I haven't even had time to do that! so, I might be frozen!
I got a box from TwoPeas the other day and it took me two days to open it (when does that happen?) and then I looked at the stuff and was "OMG, when am I gonna use this stuff?" I'm thinking of taking Celine's class on mini-books, so maybe that will unfreeze me?
Or does "frozen" mean you aren't supposed to shop? I find that when I don't scrap, I don't shop either... no point and no inspiration. Can anyone clarify for me?
Stuck In The Bucket
|Posted: 7/5/2013 8:20:06 PM|"Frozen" Means from shopping. I am no good at this as I just went to A's and HL today. I will say though on my own defense, I only bought a 6x6 paper pad of basic grey carte postale, the flair for that and a journal tag pad. I used a 40% off coupon for paper pad and I got the flair for free as I had my dtr. use the 5.00 off coupon.I also got the free 4x6 pics and put my pics onto cds whilst I was there. At HL I got a new album 50% off for my dtr. JDRF stuff and I used a coupon for my glue glider refills. So not to bad right???? Right??? Not real bad.....???

|Posted: 7/5/2013 8:58:57 PM|I'm with you!! Last night I went through my clip it up and took down tons of embellies, cleaned out some drawers and took out lots of stuff and sold a bunch of it on a FB group today.
It feels so good to get rid of stuff I'm not using. It's taken me awhile to realize that I do like having a good stash of cardstock and paper to pick from, but not embellies. When I spin my clip it up my head spins too from the selection!
Like the OP said, I found a project I started and never finished, but got it done the other night. It's so nice to get something accomplished and use stuff up

I have another $25 gift card that I won, but I'm saving it to use on the new Fancy Pants lines. After that I'm going to challenge myself to complete 30 layouts before I make another purchase. If I win another challenge before I complete the 30 layouts that doesn't count.

ONLY buying stuff I need (LOL), Making myself earn the money to buy it with, NO more Sizzix Dies...after the one I bought on the 4th at 75% off.
NO Cricut Carts, except the new one from CTMH I'll order late July.
Then making the very short trip INTO the Freezer, till the end of the year!
It will hurt but that's the way it needs to be! Right?
|Posted: 7/6/2013 1:19:38 PM|On Wed., my LSS had a BOGO sale on all the patterned paper in the store. I restocked my stash of Maggie Holmes paper but that was all. I think I showed remarkable restraint! Hah!
I also got two orders I placed for Webster's Pages paper in the mail this week. After I got the warehouse box, I started looking online at the old collections and wanted to buy some Modern Romance paper. I also bought the Palm Beach collection because I loved the paper. I don't even have any beach pictures to scrap!
I am officially in the freezer until CKC in October.
