Today I went to the dump for the first time ever. Well, not actually right TO the dump, but to the recycling centre connected to it, to get rid of all my extra moving boxes. I know not a big deal, but it was a first and strangely felt like an accomplishment. I think I'm going to be having lots of firsts in the next while!

What about you?

I recently lost over 100 pounds so I have been doing a lot of 1st time things. Last week I bought myself a kayak and have been to a nearby lake with it three times so far. It's a lot of fun and the rowing is a great workout for my upper body. I also did a 5k for the first time last month.

Most recent was just tonight, when I made peach cobbler from scratch, YUM! And I also made an alfredo sauce (instead of using jarred) for the first time ever from scratch, while making a brand-new recipe (and also my first ever Pioneer Woman recipe, though I didn't even realize it was hers when I was making it.) That didn't turn out like it should have, but was still good enough.

Tonight I also watched my first grandson watch fireworks for the first time.

Last month I parasailed for the first time.

Next week I will travel with just my dad for the first time.

Did a three-hour high ropes/zip line course with my DD20. I thought after the first obstacle I'd have to quit but three hours later, I'd conquered all the courses as well as my fears. Couldn't move for two days after but I'm ready to go again!

Santa, for Christmas this year all I ask for is a big fat bank account and a skinny body. Please don't mix the up the two like you did last year.

Wakeboarding. I managed to get up and stay up after several face plants. Couldn't lift my arms for two days after but it was worth it.

I voluntarily went to fireworks with DH. I hate loud, sudden noises and bright, flashing lights. But I sucked it up and went because DD went out with friends and he would not have gone otherwise. I couldn't let my honey miss out on his favorite holiday!

I took my new camera out and took photos of fireworks, holding the camera by hand without reading a manual and adjusting it in the dark.

I'm not sure how good they are, but they're by far the best dang fireworks photos I've ever taken.

Technically I haven done it yet but I am going to go get a tattoo on Monday. First tattoo for me. Definitely not my last as the one I am getting is small and easy and the one I want is detailed and bigger. I'm starting with easy!!

More recently travel outside the country. I definitely am going to do it again!

Hauled my parents' 30' boat to a lake 2 1/2 hours away from their home using a manual transmission.

I was near Santa Fe escaping the heat of Las Vegas. Back home now - it's so hot here and our local mountains are on fire.

Obviously that isn't anything major but it is the most recent. I always said they smelled gross so I never would try them. They are alright.

I loved watching it get made. there really is an art to it but I guess I have a texture issue. Not really for me at all.

Hey, op, I have not yet braved going to the dump! I NEED to, but the possibility of dh's truck breaking down would mean not being able to SNEAK a nice load of junk to the dump...
I drove 3 hours to an actual BIG city with my boys for the first time by myself. I navigated road construction, and only got lost once!
