Hi back!

Kids were up til 1:30 a.m. with their friends last night. Woke up around 9:45 a.m. this morning (well their friends did; had to rouse the boys). Fed them breakfast and they played Xbox til their aunt showed up couple hours later. Then we headed downtown for a street fair. I won a soft sided cooler which will come in mighty handy and managed to sink a small basketball 3x to win the boys (who couldn't do it) fake mustaches. The reason that is so funny is I have absolutely NO depth perception so I should be the last person to be successful at this game. LOL It was hot but we managed to see all the exhibits, pick up a bunch of free stuff (I think Noah got about 10 pairs of sunglasses-oy!), had a little time for the boys to play in the shaded park and headed home to pack clothes for their vacation with their dad. Not the easiest thing to do while we still had company. Now it is so quiet here.

I miss the boys already. But they will have fun I know it.

I have an hour and half before my show comes on so maybe I'll eat some of the cut up watermelon from yesterday and s-c-r-a-p...(did I say that?)

Well, I must admit I enjoyed looking at all the digital stuff you ladies do but I don't have the first clue as how to even begin doing any of that.
I think I'll stick w/ my paper and scissors.
It's a rather nasty rainy mess here this morning, so it's extremely slow at the library where I work. Hoping that I can squeeze in some scrappin later. My boys are gone to a "back to school" youth conference for the weekend and my daughter spent the night w/ her grandparents that are an hour away. So *fingers crossed*

Hey we made it to our 2nd page already! We are doing great so far!!!

Hope your day was nice. It had been so wondeful here with nice weather. So we got out to this cute little area that has lots of shops. It was so relaxing walking around there and they even had a little bridge and stream with those big Japanese fish in it. So cool! Now it is dinner time but just wanted to pop in and wish you all a good evening.

Take care!

Happy Sunday all!
It sure sounds like you have all been busy! I hope it's a good busy...
Time flies around here. Work has been busy, with back to school preparations underway, helping family move, enjoying the weather and handling my photography stuff-I can't believe it's almost the middle of August!
Not much scrapping done and my craft room is on hold until my husband has a little more time.
I hope you enjoy your Sunday!

Hi Pokeys! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Mine has been quiet!!!
I even scrapped a page! A paper page this time! I will post it at the end!

Jen-nice seeing you! Hope you are feeling well-sounds like you are back to normal! We have been getting kids ready for back to school too. Becky is off this week so I will not have the kids this week.

Nylene-I can't wait to see the girls skirts they made. Make sure to let us know how they do at the fair also.

Pam-Sounds to me like you have been busy-as usual! That garden keeps you on the run! Besides you have been spending time with family. I think you stay busy! I am glad you have had time for scrapping! Loving those pages.

Kelly-Our Browns won their first exhibition game !!!WOOHOO! They looked really good -and only one penalty! Highly unusual- they are more disciplined and do not drop the ball! That makes a big difference! I am so looking forward to the regular season to see how they do.

Well here's my layout-made from scraps Nylene!

Are We There Yet?

Hugs, Cindy

Happy Sunday! I am chilling out and enjoying my day. I hope to get some art journaling and drawing done today. Well, my art fever is still going and I love it.

Jen- So glad to see you are getting back to your routines and feeling better. Go girl!

Cindy- Congrats on the win! I hope this season will be a good one. I have been rooting for the Dodgers lately. I normally don't follow baseball but they are doing so good, I have to "jump on the bandwagon!"

Happy Sunday everyone. Looks like all of you are well. Just here for a quick post of a project. I will be back later or in the AM to check on anything that has been posted recently and give praise.

I have had a busy weekend. Shopping for new furniture, picking out kitchen floor and back-splash tile, new light fixtures, and appliances. Then today it was dog training school, and Bandit did a great job. We are so proud of him.

Here is a four page layout of my daughter-in-laws graduation, she also just received word that she was hired and she will start her first full time teaching position this fall. So proud of her.

Kim's Graduation Day

See you later ladies.

Here are a few pics of my latest art journaling. I am still amazed at how hooked I am on this. I am so used to making neat and pretty things and it has been great to just use my fingers and get messy! So, I am enjoying the adventure and trying all sorts of things to express myself.

Hello all......

Moviegal, congratulations to your dil..... it is hard to attend school and be a full-time mother and wife. Job well done and your pages of tribute were wonderful.

Jen,so glad that you are improving... it does take a while to get back to your old self. Here,s wishing you lasting improvement each day.

Cindy,I can't believe that it is almost school time again. Jacob returns to fall quarter in about 10 days. He did go summer and worked, also got on the Dean's list so I am quite proud of him. I remember preparing my family for school and it was a major feat.... then the activities began,lol....

Nylene, you should start some kind of classes to teach people to sew. Lots of people have no idea where to start... it is a fading skill that needs to be preserved.

Debi,I imagine that you and the boys had a fun week-end or are they with their Dad. Have you been up to see your Mom lately?

Well,ds will be here for lunch, then I plan to get a hair-cut and go to the market. Then I will return home and have some fun......

Hello to all the others who are busy right now.... Soon Come Pam

Oh, Kelly if you don't already follow the blog "Captivated Visions",I recommend it... has a lot of art journal info and collage. She also offers lots of free tutorials about those subjects. p

Picked up some strawberries and cantaloupe too! Now is when the melons are good! Scrapped another page and will post at the end.

Missy-good job getting your page linked! Love that stamping you did!

Pam-I can't believe it time for the kids to go back myself The summer flew by. Have a great time with Jacob! I know you miss him when he is at school. Did he go on any exciting trips this summer???

Got a few more to share. A couple of them are for the swap I'm participating in on here.
Hoping to get some more accomplished this evening after work. My boys are gone fishing and my husband is out of town til Wednesday. My daughter has her own stash of scrappy things. She just joins in on the fun. Maybe I'll post one of her layouts some day. She's 7 and she doesn't do half bad....but I may be a little bias.

I'm sorry to just post and run again, but I'm exhausted. I got everything checked into the County Fair and came home to make a cake for Pack meeting and an hour of getting awards onto cards and ready for presentation tomorrow. I have 3 boys graduating so I had to finish 3 Arrow of Light boards. Why does everything come at once?

Jen, glad you are getting better all the time. I hope the weakness goes away soon. Seems like it takes a long time to totally recover after a big procedure.

Missy and Brandy, it's nice to see you posting!!

I'll chat later....it may be near the end of the week when the Fair is winding down. I will be judging all day tomorrow and then have Pack Meeting Family Picnic in the evening. I'm looking forward to Wed. to catch my breath!

Here's my latest double pager. I finished it a while ago, but just didn't get it posted.

A Good Day for a Climb

Sending hugs to all. I can't believe school is starting. I'm not ready for summer to end. That's my fun time with the grands.

P.S. Maribeth, I love seeing your smiling face in your new profile photo!

MARIBETH nice to see your photo.

NYLENE sounds like a very busy week with fair and all. I hope you're taking photos.

The boys are at their dad's all week. I went to visit mom Saturday night since my tentative date with a female friend to go to the movies fell through. We both came out a wee bit ahead at the casino...played some new games for fun. Spent the night because I had some things to attend to on Sunday. Ended up spending that night also, and good thing, because Monday I took my car into a local mechanic to get a diagnostic done to verify what needs fixing before I can do my emissions test, and found out that my rear tire was going flat. Went to the tire store but it was surrounded by police (I mean at least 7 squad cars) on a manhunt for some drug dealer...so the shop was shut down for a couple hours. They didn't catch the guy unfortunately. And I found out I had a nail in my tire...got it fixed and after dinner with mom headed home safely. Glad I didn't have another flat tire on the freeway experience. LOL

Now I'm home and catching up with the chatter. Love going to mom's but she doesn't have internet (no computer either) so it's a bit of withdrawal when I'm there.

No scrapping just hanging out.

Hap-PEA Tuesday! It's not Monday...

I had the house to myself last night, so I read in the quiet, it was heavenly.

I got up early this morning, thank you birds, but got a couple of cards made - I will post them later. I need to get ready for work and get the house picked up a little before DH and kids get back this afternoon.

I hope you all have terrific day!

Well ladies, I had several hours yesterday to scrap. I had intended on making my pages for a junk journal swap on here but couldn't get my mojo flowing for it. SO..... I scrapped random photos instead.
For some reason I was on a "floral" kick. Used up most of my stash of flowers. I uploaded some already and will link here for you. I will have to upload the rest later when I get a moment. ENJOY!

Happy Thursday! I am so excited to share my latest art joural pages. Recently, I have been practicing drawing and wanted to try to draw a face in my journal. I was surprised at how beautiful she turned out. The hair, the butterflies, the colors and the message encouraged me so much.

I blogged about it and hope you stop by. Fly Girl

Nylene- Have a great time at the fair! I look forward to hearing all about it when you return.

Cindy- That farmer's market trip sounded fun. We have one in our city weekly and I totally forgot about it. Maybe I will check it out again. I love fresh fruits and veggies.

Debi- Boy, I am glad you are ok after seeing all that police drama unfold. How scary!

Pam- The weather you are having sounds so nice and cool. Can you believe the Fall is right around the corner???

Wishing you all a great rest of the day!

Just a quick jump on to say hello. I have been busy busy busy, we are down some people at work and I am swamped in work. Also busy with the dog, and our coninuation of new paint/tile/window treatments etc for the house. We are now working on livingroom and kitchen. Trying to get a few Courthouse pages done here and there (but really not much scrapping going on right now) I did get some of Arkansas and my one Colorado one up on the website, www.tripswithtwo.com click the courthouse icon and you can check out what I have so far.

I will be back for sure this weekend to praise and catch up on all of your happenings. Doctor appointment tomorrow (dreading).

Take care ladies, see you soon.

Maribeth
PS Debi - thanks for the comment on my photo, I never allow anyone to take a photo of me, so this was a HUGE step.

Maribeth, your busy schedule makes me tired! I love seeing your smiling face in your profile.

Debi, is your car behaving itself now and avoiding nails and other problems? I hope it's running like a top so you can go do the things you want.

I'm off to the Fair again today, but wanted to link the layout I finished last night. Used up lots of scraps and odds and ends of stuff in my stash box.

I'm a Daisy Girl Scout!

All my layouts are looking alike. I need to get out of my rut! But, Debi, will you please notice that I tilted a photo & elements. I straightened them 100 times, but finally left them tilted. Sooooo not my comfort zone!

Cindy, I think of you every time I enter my scraproom and see the sign you sent. DH laughs each time he reads it because it's so true!

Pam and Kelly, I am loving your artwork. You both amaze me. I have no
artistic bones in my body, but I love looking at your work and really appreciate your talents.

Waving to all of you. Sorry I've been so absent this month.

Haven't had any extra time to scrap since I scrapped Tuesday but I did say I would upload the rest of what I did that day and post for you ladies. I hadn't had time to even do that til now.
It's insane how busy life can get sometimes. All this back to school stuff-open house, getting shopping done, picking up schedules for my 2 high schoolers, plus the everyday stuff has me overwhelmed at the moment.
But I thought while I had a quick moment I would stop in and say hey.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I will be attending my husbands 2oth class reunion tomorrow.

It's the weekend already! Yippee! I plan to chill with the hubby and maybe get out and about.

Thanks for all the cheers for my "Fly Girl" painting. So exciting to share my journey with you all. Many of you have been with me since I started drawing and painting and have watched me grow. I am enjoying discovering this artistic side of me that was hidden too long.

Well, I want to start planning for my Christmas cards now. I had some ideas and hope to see some of the new pp from CHA so I can decide what I want to do. So far the MME and WP holiday lines are my favs.

Nylene- Hope the fair activities turned out well today. Girl, you have been really been going. But I hope you can get a rest soon. Also, tell my sister Angie she is missed!

Maribeth & Jen- I hope you both get a restful weekend too after all the busy and hectic week you had.

Missy- Wow, you are going to your dh's 20th reunion? How cool is that! I hope you both have a great time.

MARIBETH hope the doctor's appointment went fine.

LOL NYLENE...yep, so far no more nails or flat tires. Still waiting on my mechanic to call me about fixing the EGR valve line...but one thing at a time.

NYLENE you are so busy with this fair. How are you holding up? Do both the boys and girls you scoutmaster participate?

Good for you for tilting your photo...not sure why that is so hard for you as I do it all the time but then I tend to look at life a little cocked-eyed anyway. LOL

What did the sign that CINDY sent you say?

JEN you have been busy scrapping girl. Keep the mojo flowing.

MISSY you've been busy too. I have done so little scrapping this month. I have 2 high schoolers to get prepared for as well and it's a challenge.

Spent the day deep cleaning kitchen cabinets (took everything out, wash the shelving and reorganized all my food and dishes, getting rid of stuff and moving all my baking stuff into the pantry in the basement so my cupboards aren't so full. Took me all day...well I also spent over 2 hrs taking a virus off my boys' computer...they didn't even tell me it was funky til I tried to use it and it was all over the place. Oy! Also organized the cupboards and drawers in the main bathroom. Guess I'm in an organizing mood. Started on filing papers but have piles by what they are but not all put away yet. Good morning peas! Wow lots of chatter and you girls have been busy scrapping! It was fun looking at all of your beautiful pages and cards! I went to PA again for three days so I had a lot to catch up on! We went back to go to the orchards for peaches and apples! We got white peaches, donut peaches , freestone yellow peaches and red lady apples. Most of the apples were not ready quite yet. I am going to take pics and scrap a page so you can see the goodies! Today I am going to pack the apples up for pies and freeze the,. I already washed a large bag of blueberries-not sure if I am going to freeze them or make a pie! I know I am making a peach cobbler today! We also visited the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA. I will be doing a page about it also but they have a nice website with a virtual tour if you are interested. Here's a link:
Flight 93 Memorial virtual tour

Debi-sounds like you have been having fun! I did the kitchen deep cleaning a few weeks ago! That is definitely a job. The photo I sent Nylene is about the scraproom but I can not remember exactly how it goes so I wlll let her tell you about it.

Nylene-you must be worn out! You have been so busy between the scouts and the fair! Can't wait to hear how the the grands did with their projects!

Maribeth-Love your avatar! Such a pretty photo and now I can see what you look like when reading your posts! One more way of getting to know you!

Jen-looks lie you have been doing some major scrapping GF! Keep it coming we love seeing your work!

Missy-you have been rocking the pages too! such fun pages and photos!

Pam-your pages keep amazing me! I have not seen my hummers so not sure if they are still here or not. I keep making fresh nectar though. My garden looks so sad! The flowers have been beat to death and there are not many blooms. I am going to get some mums this week to put here and there. My sedum is ready to bloom thought-the bees will love that!

Kelly- Loving your work on your blog! I left you some love! The Browns won again Thursday night but had 3 players injured-one needs surgery for a broken leg,, one is in the hospital with a bruised lung, and the third one should be ok-can't think of his injury. I just read about the game-we beat the Detroit Lions 24-6. WooHoo!!!!!

Well I need to get busy-need to have breakfast , take the pics of my fruit and get busy preparing them for cooking or the freezer! I shall BBL!

Hugs, Cindy

Just popping on here while it's slow at work. Not gonna get much scrappin in today. After I leave here, I have got to get home to finish my food for DH's class reunion. Made a strawberry cobbler last night. Threw some fresh green beans w/ smoked sausage in the crock pot this morning before I left for work and there is still more to do. It never ends around here.

Nylene- I love some George Strait. Have seen him twice now. His song "I Cross My Heart" was played at my wedding and can you believe he didn't sing it either time I saw him in concert. Also, you asked about the titel on "The Lake" page. I actually didn't cut that myself. I was lazy and bought it from HL.

Debi-Thanks for the sweet comment about not looking old enough to be marred 17 yrs. We have been married 18 years now and no, I wasn't 12.(haha) I was just a baby tho. I was 18 and he was 19. We are still together but I would NOT choose for my kids to get married that young. It's worked for us but it hasn't always been easy. And for the comment on the "Wii Rock" page, well, originally the Wii was my older son's(15) Christmas present 2 years ago but he hardly ever messes with it anymore. It's mostly my daughter(7) and her friends playing one of many "Just Dance" games or "The Micheal Jackson Experience"

Maribeth-You asked about the rosettes on "The Arch". Yes, I did make those myself. It took me awhile to do them but I finally figured it out. I usually use my glue gun to hold them together and I always seem to burn myself.

Hope you all are having a great Saturday. The weather here is gorgeous.

JEN you're scrapping up a storm...we just may have to kick you out of the POKEY PEAS!...kidding of course. Nice to see someone making time to scrap.

MISSY I knew you were young...how wonderful that despite your marriage at a young age you've managed to hold it together. Can't say I was as successful and I didn't marry til I was noticeably older than you were. I've not been very good at picking men. Hopefully I can teach my own boys how to treat a woman when the time comes.

Still fussying with my kids PC...they've downloaded something that is wrecking havoc when you go to the internet...always sending me to different websites telling me I NEED to download/update a media player, flash player, .... when I have current versions of everything. Hope I can figure out what is causing this irritation so I can get rid of it.

Off to find dinner and maybe do a bit of picking up downstairs so it will be ready for the boys when they come home tomorrow.

Hi, Pokey Pea Pals!

Finally getting a moment to catch up. The Fair is over, but we have to go pick up everything tomorrow morning. Debi, I just do 4-H with girls, not my Scouts. I've run lots of neighborhood clubs, but now I just teach my grandchildren and am a County volunteer. It's a very busy time, but so worth it to see the looks on the kids faces as they find their ribbons and awards. I help judge one section and will go to another County next week to judge their fair. Keeps me busy.

The grands entered 14 items and 5 of those got best of show so go on to the State Fair. The rest of their items got first place. They were all so excited. Two of the girls modeled their ruffly skirts on Sat. and did very well. We don't have results from that contest yet.

Cindy, the sign you sent says: I can't clean my scrap room because I get distracted by all the good stuff I found AGAIN! It's posted on my door and I get a lot of chuckles over it. Can you tell my room is a mess? Sounds like you have lots of fruit to enjoy for the winter. Our peaches come on later here, so usually about the first week in Sept. Wish I could sample your cobbler! Enjoy your football season. Sorry about so many injuries.

Kelly, congrats on your win! That's great. Hope you and DH got out and did something fun in the CA sun this weekend. Sorry your Sunday started out stressful. Hope things are OK now.

Brandy, sending thoughts and prayers for your mom. That's a scary thing. Did you tell us what you teach? If so, I've forgotten. Glad to see you get a moment or 2 to scrap.

Missy, George sang "I Cross My Heart" at our concert. We loved it. We don't really ever do anything like concerts, but we splurged for our 45th anniversary and took the train to SLC. I'm glad you are getting some scrapping done. Congrats to your DH on his HS Reunion. DH had his 50th this year....my, we are getting old!!

Debi, your boys' computer sounds like the virus I got on mine a couple of weeks ago. It was terrible. I got it from a font link from a thread on 2peas. DSIL got it back for me, because I couldn't even use it. I hope you got theirs cleaned up. Sounds like you are cleaning thru your house like a white tornado. Come do my cupboards for me. They are in dire need.

Jen, I had to laugh about being kicked off Pokey Peas....we're thrilled that you are getting so much done. We'll keep you no matter how much or little you scrap. I'm living vicariously through your Hawaii photos.
Doubt I'll ever get there.

Pam, I am loving your artwork. It just mesmerizes me. I could stare at your pages all day. Is your yard work winding down for the year? Our grass is growing more slowly and I can already see color on the mountains. (Sigh)

Maribeth, how was your Dr. appt. Hope everything is OK. Do you and DH still travel in the trailer on weekends when the weather gets colder?
Hope Bandit is well and practicing his obedience lessons.

Sorry for the novel. That's what happens when I'm gone for a week. I have finished another layout, the opposite page of my Daisy Scout one, but I haven't scanned it yet. I'll do that soon.

It's nice to catch up with all of you. Have a great week!

Nylene I can't remember if I mentioned it or not, but I am a high school Business teacher and teach the upper level computer classes that use Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator etc and I think you and I have very similar scrapping styles in that we keep bookmarking each others pages

Thanks for all the well wishes for my mom, she came home Friday after a week in Vanderbilt Hospital.

I think I am caught up on leaving everyone at least one praise have a great week everyone!

Good Monday afternoon Peas! Just stopping by to say HI and post my latest project! I have been wanting and needing to go thru all my recipes and re-do them as they are old, faded, smeared etc. I finally came up with a design I think I like. I lifted a design from a Pinterest page and made a template which I can use for all my pages for continuity. I will change colors, and patterns as I go to relate to my recipes. Here's the first recipe I made: Apple Cake

This recipe is yummy and perfect for fall!

Hope all is well with everyone!Nylene I can't wait to hear about the ruffly skirt competition!!! Gotta run-BBL!

BRANDY glad your mom is home.

NYLENE you are so busy. Love the signage on your scrap room.

Kids are home. Unfortunately they left their orthodontic headgear and meds at their dads, and he refuses to drop it off. Says I need to come after it (even though I wasn't the one who forgot it). Normally the boys would be visiting their dad midweek but since this is our 2 week summer vacation slot they will not be going there for 2 weeks. we can't go without it that long. And they need it for their ortho appointment next week. Oy!

Kids opted out of doing Frisbee camp (I'm disappointed). So they are home. Guess I need to put them to work. LOL

Not much scrappin going on here this past weekend. Hoping to get some time this evening.
My kids went back to school today. I'm hoping they will be wiped out so I can just feed them and send them to bed. HEHE!
Here's a junk journal page I did for a swap. This one is for the "young girl" category. I signed up for 4 different slots and this is the only one completed so far.

Afternoon ladies!!

Well, today is loaf day and I have been doing a bunch of it. Since sil,dd and 2 grands were here yesterday and worked on my garage... I am pooped. I have been in the process of cleaning and ridding for quite some time and they gave me a big boost, lol!!

We have been having the most lovely days, cooler nights though... It's just real pleasant and I have been enjoying a lull from gardening. It will soon be time to put the garden to bed and I will need to work hard with that!!

Local school starts this week and Jacob returns to OSU this week. Funny how time keeps marching on.

DS 3 was here for lunch and DS 2 called for a chat... Always good to hear or see them.

Well,I should do a little more work before I pack it in for the day. or maybe I should just quit now, giggle. Soon come Pam

Hello, Pokeys!

Pam, sounds like you've had some good family time and a little bit of a much-deserved rest. I know you will miss Jacob.

Cindy, I love your recipe ideas. Keep posting them as I need some new recipes. I wonder if I could substitute part applesauce for the oil in that cake? I'm sure it wouldn't be quite as rich. My recipes are in such bad shape, but I recognize them by "the torn corner" or "the scribbles at the top, the one printed on pink cardstock" etc. You inspire me to do something with mine. My sisters went through mom's recipes that are our favorites and made CM books with them. My sis has been a CM rep for years and she did a gorgeous job on them. They made one for each of us siblings. It's my prized possession.

Missy, tell me about a junk journal? Don't think I've heard of that. Good luck getting the kids back to school. Glad your mom is home and doing well. Keep us informed.

Brandy, thank you for the compliment that we have similar styles. I love your layouts! Thanks for the info on what you teach. I wish I had your computer know-how. I am still scared of this thing and every change is hard for me. I hate when Windows updates because I can't find anything for a while.

Debi, I posted on CS about your dilemma with the ortho gear. What makes him think that it's your responsibility to pick up what they left. He's just being ornery! Sorry you are dealing with that type of personality.

Here's the companion page to the Daisy Scout one. This is Angie's DD. She's such an independent little gal. I was almost afraid to ask her about her hair, for fear she'd just done it herself for fun. I was glad to find out it was Crazy Hair Day.

Wishing you all a great day and rest of the week.

Hello Peas! Here's another page finished for the recipe project!

Cheeseburger Soup

Hope I am not making you hungry!!!

You can substitute applesauce for the oil as far as I know. I have done that with a lot of cake recipes and it has never turned out bad. I usually use one of the individual serving containers of unsweetened applesauce. I will make one tomorrow with the applesauce and let you know for sure.

Hugs, Cindy

Wow! Everyone is busy. I hope your week is going well.

The news came out yesterday that our district's teachers have filed an intent to strike. I hope they get this worked out in the next week...

I hope to play with my paper tonight.

Off to work, have a good day all!

Greetings girls!

Hope this finds you all happy and smiling and doing what you like to do!!

Maribeth, another fine layout of your courthouse photo album,I see. I am in awe of your project and am excited each time you mention another one.
I shall wait until my nearest is complete with the restoration that is in progress since the clock portion and much else is on the ground. It started well over a year ago but is still not finished. Coming soon.....

Today is laundry,ugh... almost done, folded, put away... and that is a good feeling.

I found some free apps for photos today and have been tinkering around with them. One is for selective coloring and I think I like it. I may use it here and there once I figure it all out.

Had lunch and laughs with ds and am headed for the shower. It is warmer and more humid today, lots of sun.

I am also working on some cloth pumpkins for fall décor, real ones are expensive and our homegrown ones are going to be few. I just need some more cute fabric, that means a trip to the store.... not my most favorite activity.

Cindy how are the recipes coming? Did you get all your fruit put up for winter? I will soon be making my apple butter for the winter, makes the house smell lovely!

Well, off I go.... Soon come Pam

Maribeth, that layout is so wonderful. Brings back so many memories for me. I was an active 4-Her and spent many, many hours in that building for conferences, contests, etc. My mom also worked there when I was really young and it is the only building in town that had an elevator. Children weren't allowed to use it, but mom let me so I could go up to visit her. I think it's STILL the only building in town with an elevator! I'm loving your project!!

Pam, it makes me happy to hear that you are still learning new digi techniques. You do such amazing things, that it excites me to see what you will do next. Would you share your apple butter recipe? Angie's DH loves apple butter. I'm not sure I've ever had any.

Cindy, thanks for the applesauce/oil suggestion. Apples will be on here before long and I want to try out your recipe. I am loving what you are doing with those recipes. I've added "re-do all recipes" to my needs to be done list. I would hope my girls would love those recipes in scrap form as much as I love my mom's that my sisters scrapped for me.

Kelly, where are you??? I hope you are well and are just engaged in your art journal and haven't had time to chat.

Debi, what happened with the ortho gear? I hope you didn't have to go get it.

Jen, I hope your teachers can work things out. My first year teaching the district wanted to strike and I was panicked. I needed the money to put my DH through school. I was glad they worked it out.

My cubs will be here soon so I need to finish my preparations.
I'll come back a little later to post a couple of pages I finished.
Hugs to all the Pokeys!
