Good morning ladies! I just wanted to share a little something I've been working on in my free time... I designed my first sheet of printable 3x4 project life cards, and shared them on my blog just now (http://michelleun.blogspot.com/2013/08/my-newest-endeavor.html) This is something I'm planning on doing quite regularly, so for those who do Project Life, or if you just love FREE printables, this might be something you're interested in. Please do share with any scrappy friends you know who might enjoy this! And if you guys have any comments/suggestions, let me know! Thanks

Hi girls

still ill unfortunately, not fun

@Christina: thanks for the Link of the bday card idea, in the end I did another one, this one, but I have not taken a pic yet of the one I made.
LOVE challenge number 2!!!

@Elizabeth: be brave!! How was your husband's thesis defense (if this is a thing, I hope you understand what I mean...)

@Melissa: the landlady comes back on the Friday 15th and we come back on Monday night the 19th. Plus she told us on the 1st visit that she is planning on doing viewing the WE after she comes back. At the moment e are the only ones who saw it, but when we come back it migh not be the case anymore...
I will pass along the belated bday wishes!!

@Rachel: what are you planing on buying in IKEA?? Is it far from your place to have a sleepover in an hotel? Is Millie joining the IKEA adventure?

@Michelle: yours PL cards are really nice, I love the colour scheme you have chosen I can't wait for the next ones!!

August Question 2: If you could travel anywhere for a summer vacation, where would you go? How would you spend your time?
how long is a summer vacation?? as a teacher in the UK it is 6 weeks in France it used to be minimum 2 months (I miss that!!)
When I went to Mexico I took 9 weeks!! and it was perfect
and unfortunately Damien is not allowed to take more than 2 weeks in a row... (this is crap)
So in a perfect world, my perfect summer holiday would be all year long travelling in north hemisphere during mai, june, july, august, september and in the south hemisphere for the rest of the year (because it would be summer down there!!)
I would ideally spent one month in a country, teaching a bit of English and French here and there, and the rest of the time just discovering a new culture, meeting people, visiting magical places, learning new languages, diving...

[end of the dream...back to reality]

went back to the jobcenter today, I should be paid on Tuesday. I also went to the bank to give 2 cheques, they should be processed within 5 days, so by Wednesday next week I might be richer (good because I need to buy a new computer in France - I want the French keyboard, for preparing lesson it is easier)
I also had another interview with a teaching agency, the guy was lovely, very friendly, gave me a lot of advices, he is also ready to write some kind of reference for my future landlord!! Told me I had a great profil and he is not worried about my future at all (which is a bit reassuring)
I turned down a job that was 1h20min away from me in transport (I don't own a car, not possible in London) and travelling would have cost me £64 a week (this is a lot of money) especially for a part-time job of 3 to 4 days...
I can't wait to go to Marseille and spend some time with my family!! (on Saturday, we leave early in he morning so by the time you wake up I will already be by the pool!!). And I am going to "re-meet" my god-mother during that week. She disappeared from my life when I was young (really bad problems with her ex-husband) and now she lives 8min away from my parents house!! I am kind of "scared" (this is not the right word...).
I am not taking my laptop to Marseille, (because I am planning to buy one) and I am not allowed to have more than 10kg hand luggage. So I will try to connect from my parents but don't promise anything. But instagram will be on

Caro: ikea is about 2 hours away. My friend (Millie's godfather) travels for work and has two weeks worth of hotel points for free rooms so we are going to stay. Millie is going which is part of why we are going down the night before.
We are looking for a new bed, wardrobe, and living room furniture. Also home office/scrap room stuff.

Sorry I haven't been around much this week... had another rough week, and wasn't feeling well for a couple of days. But I got some good news today and things are looking up!

Will anyone be scrapping this weekend? My friend is coming over this afternoon to a girls' night. We are going to get scrappy, eat junk food, and watch movies I'm so excited!

I need to go back and read chatter...

Also, if any of you voted on my video for the SC video contest, I forgot to mention that you can vote once every 24 hours! I am getting pretty close to being one of the runner-ups, so if you could remember to vote that would be awesome!!

Here is the link: my video

Hey girls!

Weekend! Yay!
Sadly enough my man just went away for a week.. I'll miss him of course.. But at the same time I've got so much things I want to do while he's gone.. I can't decide what to do just now, because there's so much.. I'm all over the place

Caro: That's so sad about the flat! I hope it'll still be there when you get back! And still hoping the best for you on the job-issues.. It's nice to get some good comments on your profile though! Have a great time in Marseille! Amuse-toi bien!

Christina: Did you have a good weekend with your man?

As for the wedding.. We're in the middle of brainstorming sessions.. Of course I got tons of ideas.. But to make it fit and make my man happy as well... Let's say it's a challenge

Elizabeth: when will you be moving?
Melissa: What will you be doing next???
Rachel: What will you be going to ikea for? Raskog? That's so sweet of your brother!

And getting back to teaching! That's so awesome! Used to do a lot of Pilates a while back.. but not anymore since I've quit dancing.. Now it's only fitness

Michelle: cute cards!!

Monica: hoping to get some scrapping done this weekend yes! It's been ages!

August Question 2: If you could travel anywhere for a summer vacation, where would you go? How would you spend your time?
This is a tricky question.. So many places I still want to see.. But Australia/New Zealand is absolutely high on the list... Would love to get a chance to dive the great barrier reef!

Well that's it for tonight Talk to you girls later this weekend!

Hello, hello, hello!!!! OMG, I'm such a bad YS, I haven't been around at all, and I miss you girls. I was on vacation for a week and my cousin was in town so I was completely cut off from the world. No t.v., YouTube videos, FB or computer time at all. It was a very successful vacation around the city. Wish I could tell you everything but I don't want to take up to much space on here. OK, well I did want to let you girls know the crazy thing that happened. I actually took vacation because I bought tickets to see the Backstreet Boys (LOVE THEM) and my cousin came from Baltimore just for that reason. So the concert was amazing, until they SHUT IT DOWN. Yeah, middle of a song, lights got turned on, music was cut off and the mics were turned off. We didn't know what happened. Well they tried to continue the concert but the venue people didn't let them so everyone left very disappointed and sad. So I just found out yesterday that they will be coming back to make things right and I'm super excited again to see them. I can't wait to scrapbook about the concert. It's probably going to be a mini or a bunch of LOs.

So that's a bit of it. I have to catch up on the thread and see what the challenge is tonight. Missed talking to you all and love ya girls.

I gave my resignation last week to the rich dad! He said he'll be sad. Im excited to start this new PT job which will move into a FT position. I havent given notice to my other family yet, just because I want to sign the contract in case all hell breaks loose.
Jonny is out of town this weekend for a gig, I wont be scrapping though because it's my dad's birthday today and I'm visiting a preggo gf. Sunday Im spending time with my mom and sister then Jonny will be back!

Michelle, very cool cards! Sad I dont have a good replable printer so I could use them! I fully support you in making this a regular thing

Caro, glad to hear you got some help from the unemployment agency. I still have my fingers crossed for you regarding the flat and job. How was D's birthday? Have fun visiting your parents!!!

Rachel, uncle is handsome! Let us know what you get at ikea! I always love going there. I think jonny wants to go there to get somemore nick-nacks actually. Fun for you getting to teach dance again, what type?

Dee, I'm not quite sure what you mean by what i'm doing next? you man seems to travel a lot? Is it for work, what does he do?

Ruth, haha at Backstreet Boys! That totally is weird about what happened!

Good evening lovely ladies!

August Question 2: If you could travel anywhere for a summer vacation, where would you go? How would you spend your time?
I would travel somewhere in Europe. I have always wanted to go to Greece and Italy and London and all those places! I would be all tourist-y with my hubbie, I think it would be an amazing experience!

Melissa: I'm happy to be moved in too, and i'm mostly all unpacked now! Who is this new position with?

Stacy: LOVE those LO's. I'm wondering the same as Melissa, how did you do that misting at the top and have it drip?

Rachel: So excited for you to go back teaching dance How was ikea? Calgary has one so Josh and I tend to go often, majority of our furniture is from there!

Michele: Love those cards! I will defiantly be saving and printing them!

Caro: Hope you have a fantastic trip!

Monica: I will be around tonight and tomorrow scrapping How was girls night?

Christina: Loving the challenges! I am going to attempt the first one tonight, so we shall see how that goes! I am only using my initial from my last name though.... hope that still counts!

@Michelle: I love your PL cards! I'm starting to wish I had done PL so I could use them there, but I might just have to incorporate them into a LO

@Caro: Cute card! How did the birthday celebrating go? Also, have a ton of fun visiting your parents!

@Monica: hope you're feeling better!

@Dee: yeah, I know how missing your man is, but I get to see mine again next weekend! And my weekend was great, I end up loving him more every time I get to see him again Wedding planning must be fun! I see all of those wedding shows and it looks CRAZY (well usually because they're showing the crazy bridezilla girls, but still, stressful)

@Loni: Well if you win the August prize, I guess I'll just send a box of chocolate

@Ruthie: Did they ever explain what the problem at the concert was? Great that you'll get to see them again though!

@Melissa, I hope the new position works out great! (also hopefully the fam isn't crazy again)

@Rach: I just love IKEA, I don't even know why, I never end up buying anything. I think it's just a fun place

@Lisa, thanks! (I'm doing the last initial of my name too no worries, these are all pretty flexible challenges) I really can't wait to see how you ladies use these prompts

So, I've been crazy busy with work and life, the last week has flown by so fast. Luckily, I got some scrapping done, some work around the house done and some studying done. I am really really excited to be going down to see my BF again next weekend, this will be my last chance before school starts again. I'll check back in soon! hopefully more regularly too!

Ikea was nice because it wasn’t too crowded at first. It was HOT in there though. It was as if they didn’t have the A/C on AND I was babywearing a furnace. (She is really hot when she sleeps)

Here is my most recent layout:
Lovely
The current challenge on the Scraptastic blog is to use mists to draw on your page. I love how my layout turned out. They do a challenge each Thursday and draw a winner at the end of the month for a $20.00 gift card. I have only finished all 4 Thursday challenges once before and I am determined to have my name in the hat this month!

I need to get to work on Christina’s challenges...

Happy Monday, y’all.

Just wanted to drop by and say HELLO HELLO!

Christina - Love the moodboard. BTW, they said the reason that the concert was shut down was because a strict 11 pm curfew with the park they had it at, not the City of Chicago. Can't wait to find out when they are coming back. I'm going to see them twice in one year. That is completely exciting to me.

I'll be back tonight. Working on a project right now for a friend. Let's see how it comes out.

Happy Monday everyone!!!!

PS. Welcome back Elizabeth!!!

Rachel, that dance program sounds awesome, and it's so great of you to be teaching for free, too! Dancing is one thing I always wish I could do, but can't hahah

Christina, I think your LO is great as it is, but I like the idea of outlining the letter too... maybe machine stitching around it in a contrasting thread, so it's subtle?

Good Afternoon ladies!

SUPER DE-DOOOOPER NEWS (Can you tell i'm a slight bit excited?!) I GOT A JOB!! It's a full-time clerical/clinical aide at a Fetal Maternal Medicine Clinic I'm super excited! I get to wear scrubs to work, no more having to wake up and decide what to wear. Full benefits after 3 months, a personal spending account of $1000 each year, 3 weeks paid holidays after 1 year, and room to grow!

Sorry, just had to share that

Melissa: Super excited for you! Is it going to be full time?

Christina: Enjoy your time with your boyfriend. I know how special those times can be. I did two years with Josh being in Calgary and myself in Medicine Hat. Even with it just being 3 hours away, it's still long distance and it still sucks! Love your monogram LO btw May have to scraplift it and do something with my maiden name!

Rachel: LOVE your LO! Though, I always love your LO's And Millie is super cute to boot!

Well i'm off to do some more of my online Medical Terminology course! Talk to you lovely ladies later!

Rachel, sounds fun. Would live to see you do a IG video of you dancing

Lisa, WHOOHOO congrats! Everything sounds great, esp the full benefits! What will you exactly be doing? My new job will be full time, but not until Oct as the mom will still be on mat leave until then. So I will still be doing 2 families until then.
First day back with the rich dad yesterday, went well. The mom gave the other nanny a puppy that's work 10k as a "gift" And wants to get one f the boys a puppy too. 3 dogs, all untrained, mom away every other weekend = disaster. I wish I was still working with her just so have another puppy though lol!

Love them Michelle!

Summer memories: one summer my neighbors and I played Monopoly nearly every day. lol. And before my dad started ranching we went boating a lot. I can slolam ski.
Bet you didn't know that about me!

I never answered the travel ?. I would love to see Europe, esp Italy but Brian and I really enjoy exploring the National parks so that is more realistically the trips we'll be taking.

Great challenges Christina! I may not get to them for a while but I will do them eventually.

I spent (almost) every summer from 7th grade-last year working at an outdoor drama. I started as an extra (village child), moved up to dancer, then a lead roll, then box office ( I ‘retired’ from the stage), then out of retirement as a dancer and box office the summer before I got married... I have so many fun summer memories there. Costume parties, trips to touristy spots around the mountains, going to Dollywood in Tennessee, and general silliness onstage and backstage.

<<<<Newb AlERT!<<<<

Hi everyone! I'm pretty new here at 2peas, and on the whole paper crafting scene. My name is Cindy, 23, and I'm located in CA. I have enjoyed crafting all my life, but didn't really invest much time until recently, with scrapping and card making. I'm interested in getting inspired, and I think challenges are a good way to do it! I currently work as a video maker (shooting/editing) and live with my boyfriend Matthew, my dog Maggie, my turtle Bee, and my older sister just moved in with her cat.

August Question 2: If you could travel anywhere for a summer vacation, where would you go? How would you spend your time?

If I could pick anywhere... I think it would be England, just for my boyfriend. He's from England, and his parents still live there and I know he misses them a lot. We took a trip there for Christmas and it was a lot of fun (since I have never been out of the country), but I would love a chance to see it when it's not raining/cold. It would be great to see the countryside, possibly visit Ireland and Scotland (since we did go to Wales while there). I would LOVE a chance to see some older castles and Stonehenge. We really only got a chance to see major tourist spots in London, since we were only there for two weeks,so I would enjoy taking it slow and catching the scenery.

Question number 3: What was/ or is your favorite summer memory (ever)? Did you spend it with family? Friends? Have a summer fling?

Camping with my family and some friends. I live camping, roasting marshmallows and making s'mores, swimming and fishing. Used to do it every summer and stopped when I was about 13.

Hi Cindy, I'm Melissa! 23, live in Vancouver Canada with my boyfriend Jonny. Dogs name is Milo.

Just woke up, I've been having nightmares about someone trying to kill me - got with guns... NOT COOL!

Yesterday was my first today with the new family. Loved the 10 month old. I got to meet his step siblings (wont be there all the time) and they are we're so welcoming and friendly

Been in a scrapbooking rut lately, so taking a little break. Instead I'm working on my challenges for September!

Hello ladies

Thank you for all the congrats I'm super excited to start tomorrow.

Question number 3: What was/ or is your favorite summer memory (ever)? Did you spend it with family? Friends? Have a summer fling?
I think my favorite summer memory so far would have to be last summer when Josh and I drove to Seattle and back for our honeymoon. I also really enjoy seeing family and camping through the summer!

Melissa: I'm a clerical/clinical aide at a Fetal Maternal Medicine Clinic. So I will be doing like data entry and admin duties, as well as talking with the tech's and what not.

Michele: Loving your printables! Now I just need to catch up on PL so I can use them!

Welcome Cindy. My name is Lisa, 22, and only 3 days away from my 1 year wedding anniversary! I have 2 fur babies (cats) Neo and Loki!

I finally got around to uploading some LO's! I usually don't upload LO's to 2peas because it's a huge hassle and takes a long time, but I did upload a few! 2 of them are for the first 2 challenges Christina has given us!

Michelle, you're 19 too? How did I not know this! Haha you seem very grown up for a 19 year old

Welcome Cindy! I'm Christina, 19, live in Canada, studying general science (biology, specializing in vertebrate zoology and botany), hoping to get into Law school, with a long distance boyfriend. Nice to meet you!

Lisa, I love your layouts!

Melissa, I'm happy this new family seems to be good so far! Hopefully they stay awesome!

hey chicas!
Been a bit busy around here! My scrappy night with my friend went great. We had a blast scrapping, eating junk food, and watching movies - we were up until 5am on Saturday morning! So I definitely dragged on Saturday. Sunday, my cousin treated my mom & I to dinner and the comedy club. It was so much fun! Only my 2nd time at a comedy club, and it was a great time.

Monday I applied at a university so I can finally finish my bachelors degree in accounting! It is going to be A LOT of work, but I am up for the challenge. The courses are 8 weeks - so the same content as a full semester class, but crammed into half the time. I will probably have very little time for scrapping once classes start at the beginning of September

Tuesday & Wednesday, I interviewed with a credit union and a bank. Both interviews went great, but I weighed my options and decided I'd enjoy working at the credit union more. But I was definitely in a hard place because the branch manager at the credit union said she wants to hire me but that the HR manager wants to interview me herself before a firm decision is made. In the meantime, the branch manager at the bank offered me the job and was very anxious about a response! So I had to coordinate everything and the bank lady said it will be okay to have a few days to make a decision, and I am interviewing with the HR manager at the credit union tomorrow. Whew! Too many interviews in one week. LOL. Oh, and at the same time I had gotten 3 calls from other people wanting to schedule interviews!

Today was really an off day. Didn't feel too hot, and had some bummer news. But I am hoping to have a nice, relaxing weekend and turn it around!

I feel like I have missed so much around here...

Lisa > Congrats on your new job! That's awesome you found something so quick.

Melissa > Yay for a successful start with the new family! I hope it turns out to be a great fit for you.

Cindy > hi & welcome! I'm envious of you living in California! Someday that is where I want to end up. I consider myself a west coast girl I have a lot of family in Oregon. Anyway, I'm Monica, 27y/o, just re-enrolled in college for accounting, hoping starting a new job as a bank teller. Still living at home (ugh) and have no kids, but I do have a spoiled little toy chihuahua named Dinky.

Michelle > Loving your printables! They are so fun. I'm taking the Toolbox class at Studio Calico and the first week was about digi/hybrid scrapping. It totally widened my horizons! I am loving it. I have dabbled in digi scrapping before, but never got much into it. But the possibilities with hybrid scrapping are way better!

Loni > Did you get my cards for the card swap yet? I can't wait for you to see them! And I can't wait to see everyone else's!

Christina > I love your challenges! I was a little stuck on the monogram one, but have an idea now. I finished the photo background one, though!

Rach > I seriously can't wait until they open our Ikea! Hopefully by then we will have our basement room (where Evan was living) cleaned out & fixed up so we can have a craft room down there, furnished by Ikea! It's my dream, anyway. hehe.

Ruthie > Crazy about the concert! I saw them on America's Got Talent tonight... it was bizarre to see them so much older! BB was the very first concert I ever went to

Dee > Did you get some things done while the bf was out of town?

Caro> Keep your head up during the job search! It is very difficult these days, but somehow it seems like the timing has to be just right. Things will work out! I don't blame you for turning down a job with such a long commute... not worth it!

Whew! Next I need to catch up on praise...
