I have completed pages only to discover ( through reflection etc ) there is more story I want to tell. Without deconstruction of the current page... How do you add
journaling to make the story complete and connected? Any suggestions?

Journal on the back, tags that slide behind pictures that can be pulled out, journaling added to white space, if its a single page layout an insert (I like the 6x12) or if you have more pictures you could make another layout to coordinate.

Noell from has added a 6x6 page next to her 12x12 and added more journaling.

Tags are a wonderful idea. If you have a "pocket" for them, then you can add as many as you need (even number them) to complete your story.

If there is room, you could add some type of a flap (to lift up with journaling on the back).

I have seen products that let you add a flap to the pocket protector page (Close to my Heart calls them Flip Flaps); or you can just adhere a smaller sized page protector to a pocket protector too. I have done that with 5x7 and 6x6 flaps, and used my ATG to stick it to the outside of the page protector.

Great question, not just for journaling, but maybe for added elements or an add'l "found" picture. Good idea for adding a 6x6 page.
I've had an ancestry sb project going for quite a while and have gone back added a pocket w. add'l information about the people on that particular l/o. In those instances, I happened to have room left on the page which allowed me to do that, but if I hadn't, I would probably have cut down a page protector to about half and added it there somehow.

After seeing it on one of Shannon Tidwell's layouts; I've punched a half circle on the top edge and then made a pocket on the back of my layout. I insert a card with journaling but what you see from the front through the punched part reads "pull", or "story here", etc. I've also added a 12x6 page protector with additional journaling when I've had lots to say.

I'm a big fan of the 6x12 page for adding extra writing. This post has info about that with an example. I often use the divided 6x12 pages but the full 6x12 sheet works too, and is easier if you prefer to printed to handwritten, perhaps. All the smaller size Project Life page protectors would work really well too without breaking the flow of your album.

Glitter Girl has also added two whole pages of journaling on 8.5x11 pages in this adventure, which would also work if your story is quite lengthy!

Hope that's a bit of help. I'll tell Glitter Girl to keep this idea in mind for future pages too.

I'm pretty sure that this isn't what you want to hear, but when I've found myself in that situation, I usually redo the entire page!
