Welcome to the freezer! I am at 21 days I think! I may be extending my frozen period...cause we just got an offer on our house! Now pray I can find a place that is a little bigger (maybe I'll even get a little crafty area).

Are any of my frozen PEAps scrapping today? I wanted to set up a challenge, but I'm not sure how...so I am just going to post it here. (Maybe some of the more savvy peas know how?)

Today I am challenging all of you to pull that thing in your stash that's been sitting in the package FOREVER! For me, it was a woodgrain stencil that I bought 2 years ago, maybe more. And here's what I made:

(Sorry for the poor iPhone image!) I used some Heidi Swapp gold color shine and now I'm wondering why I haven't pulled out this stencil before! I love it! Can't wait to see what you all create!

Welcome Megan in pink.

Jen, I love your layout. I wish I had time to scrap today because your layout makes me want to create something.

Jens3, that was a perfect challenge! I used up an entire package of Pink Paislee photo frames from the Portfolio collection that hadn't even been touched! I used them to embellish some pocket protector pages from a trip to the zoo, otherwise I would tried to post pictures.

I finished a layout for the challenge, and I will post it Monday. I used some spider web ribbon and a spider man tag that I've had forever on a layout of my grandson climbing my walls.

Love your LO Jen!! That wood grain stencil is awesome.
Welcome Megan!
I was at my crop night and did not have a lot of time to plan so just packed and went. Finally settled on doing a Christmas LO. Went through my box of papers twice and settled on a bright paper that I probably would not buy today and have had for a loooonnng time!
I am about 3/4 of the way done with the LO and I'm loving it!
I pulled out scissors, did some silhouette cutting and used some black and green cardstock to tone down the brightness and voila!
Cardstock goes a long way in helping to stretch the pp supply.

I'm so proud of you all! Keep it up and wrap up in a warm blanket with coffee or hot tea.

Today is my 11th day frozen, but it seems longer than that! I resisted the Two Peas sale, and only bought some albums on sale in the big box store this weekend, as my wedding album is in need of a volume 2. But I've stay strong, and when I bought the albums, I walked through the store chanting "Stay strong, stay frozen!" It was so tempting, but I succeeded in only buying what I went in for.

I did make 2 layouts this weekend, which doesn't seem like much, but this time of year it's an accomplishment for me to even walk into my craft room, because our schedules are so crazy. Yay me

Hi girls,

Welcome to all the new Frozen Peas. You will find lots of support here!

Jen3 I love your layout and the stencil is makes a gorgeous background!

I have some news that have me under a little stress. I maybe losing my job because it maybe going out of business. There has been speculations recently and I feel it is a matter of time. Talk about perfect timing with Christmas around the corner and a nice large bill from the patio that we just installed. Had I known this, we wouldn't have done it! I am trying to get everything in order by filling applications since it is Christmas season and I know they Companies will be hiring for seasonal help and hope to land a job that way.

Enough of the downer talk cause I just don't want to think about it. I am glad to hear everyone is doing so well. I am right there with you girls. If a room full of stuff can't get me to create something then I need a new hobby. I love all the projects you ladies have been posting keep them coming.

Kristol, Great run or dye layout. I love the energy it portrays.

Passion4scrappin, I'm sorry about your job. I hope things work out okay.

Here is the link to the three layouts I completed this week. I have 91 more to do before I can shop.
7, 8, and 9 - still frozen

The spiderman tag came off of a clothing item a long time ago. The spiderweb ribbon has been in my stash for a few years.

The oldest thing I used was a piece of vellum from a hot off the press book from 2000 or so. I liked how it looked with the CTMH mistletoe collection that I purchased from a yard sale this summer. I still have not used up enough paper on nine layouts to have enough room for everything to have an uncrowed spot in my scrap room, but it is a start. It feels so good to push myself to use things up.

passionforscrappin' - thinking about you and praying that you will not stress over what has yet to occur. You'll have enough time to worry about tomorrow....tomorrow, so I pray you focus on today, save today, prepare today, be aware today, make changes today, fill out applications today and let tomorrow worry about itself on today. I pray you find peace in knowing that it will work out and you will survive this and whatever else comes your way. Stand strong and don't be defeated!!!! I am sending (((((((HUGS))))))) your way. - Kristol -

@passionforscrappin: You are in my prayers. Please keep your spirits up and know that all the Frozen Peas are sending you encouragement and thinking of you.

I also wanted to drop in. I am finally using up my glitter glues! I am using them up making paper ornaments to place on a giving tree at Church. I've made 43 out of the 50 so far! Very pleased that I am putting them to good use after ignoring them for almost a year. And also have 12 layouts and 3 pocket pages done for my layout a day challenge.

Margie,

I like your starting point layouts. It is amazing how the embellishments really make a layout shine. I like your use of reds and black. Good luck with your move. You are smart not to buy any scrap stuff until after your move.

Thank you ladies for the kind words and prayers. It has been rough, and that is putting it mildly. We don't have family around and my husband has a hectic schedule and with a 4 & 5 year old it doesn't give much room for an open schedule that most companies want. A while back when a friend offered me a job working from home I felt like some one was watching over us. I could work full time and still pick up the little ones from school. Now, the most I can work is 16 hours on my husbands day of which means no family time, which is a huge thing for me. We make a point of it to make up for the lack of family with the lil ones. Thank goodness for family friends! While I know we will get through it, it did come at the worst time, but doesn't it always? Thank you again.

Sorry to barge in unannounced, but someone used the term CADA...what is that? I've been away from the board for a while, so I don't know the new abbreviations, or even if there are new abbreviations!
TIA! <-I remember a couple, love that one!

OK, I climbed out again, but as usual, it's because I'm going to a crop! There are no more planned, so I'm climbing back in (with my brand new Corner Chomper) and I plan on staying here at least until I get my Christmas gifts.

BTW, no such thing as barging in to the freezer, lol.

Sorry - I'm of no help. I have no idea what CADA is either.

margievis-I saw some of the pages in your gallery, love them! I wanted to comment on the ones embedded in the thread but didn't see them in your gallery. Still getting used to this new-ish layout!

I'm jumping in the freezer! Can I join in? Hello.. My name is DJ and I'm a shopaholic. It's been one day since I last bought scrappy supplies.

My initial goal is 25 layouts, and then I'll assess again. I think this will work better for me than a time based goal, as I'm assured I'll get some scrapping done! My challenge is that I stopped scrapping for 5 years and have a rather large, but old stash. I'm so happy to be creating again! I love all of the new trends! But, once I got back into it, my scrapping didn't keep up with my shopping. Time for a deep freeze and getting my scrap on! Thanks for the inspiration.

Fell.off.the.wagon. Re-committing today to no more spending.

Not too much damage - some clearance stuff at memory works (sniff sniff).

I feel you. I bought a paper pad last weekend and I feel like I'm coming back to this thread with my tail between my legs. Instead I should feel great that I didn't shop for 91 days. And more importantly I actually scrapped while I was frozen. Yesterday I put that new paper pad to good use and did a layout for my vacation mini and I'm really happy with it. I've been frozen for 5 days and I'm happy.
