Congratulations Irish Eyes!!! You have done a fabulous job turning your old"ish" stash into such fresh new layouts! You have been such an inspiration to all the frozen peas as well as those of us who are somewhat soggy! I think it's amazing that you set a goal and kept with such determination!

A BIG thank you to Treyaut! You have been a true inspiration with your layouts and commitment to not shopping.

I have hit my breaking point and decided that enough is enough. On my anniversary, June 19th, I told hubby that I was done shopping. I really like scrapbooking and would be nice to ACTUALLY scrapbook. My room is very over full and it got to the point where thinking about where to put new purchases just made me sick. The pleasure from things was only lasting till I got out of the store and then the sickening feeling would hit. “What am I doing?”, “Do I need this”, “Why did I buy this?” It just isn’t worth it.

I told hubby that I won’t be shopping for at least 6 months but my real goal is a year. He even bought me a brand new desk to help get my space in workable condition so that I can sit down and get some scrapbooking done. So now there is no excuse.

I’m actually really excited to focus on the thing that I love and those are the pictures and memories. So here is to the next year!

Stacey - Kudos to you that you see it's time to cut back and get in there and use up some of those supplies. It's amazing how much we accumulate and hoard and then we go out buy more and make the chaos worse. I applaud you for setting a goal of 6 months and I hope your creative mojo kicks in so you can start creating. You can do it. When it gets tough just go in your space over and over again and look at ALL THE STUFF you've already invested in. The stuff that is getting overlooked because you keep adding to it. For me that was a super motivator to see the nearly 4' stack of paper and still considering adding more. It's a vicious cycle I tell you. LOL!!

Good for you Stacey - enjoy your journey!!!

Irish Eyes, congratulations on making it to 100! How exciting!

Meanwhile, I am failing miserably at being frozen. Thickers at TJ Maxx, need I say more? And I have been tormenting myself with looking at scrap goodies on line. And OA Public Library finally came out! I have not succumbed to that yet but I'm dyin' here. I feel like a junkie (well, what I imagine a junkie feels like) I actually feel a little physically sick.

On the more positive side, I have been able to help a Pea out with an RAK of some paper she was looking for and have been stuffing my PIF thread packages full of extra goodies. I'm going to be selling some of my scrap stuff at a garage sale later this summer so that will get some of it out of here.

Deep breath.

Hey! Where's my theme music?!?
