Oh I love what your husband says because he's right! LOL

I know many of you watch the videos here as do I when I have time. I will say that I find inspiration in Glitter Girl because while she has new goodies every week to scrap with, she mixes so many things from old and new, that it really helps me to look at my stash in a different way- putting paper and embellishments together that I normally wouldn't have thought of! Makes me feel warmer here in the freezer

So i am not sure what my defining moment was exactly but it was a feeling of being trapped creatively by all the STUFF I had to choose from. I have been purging and selling and well now I have some cash for later on, and to help with the minor bills that have come up during the time we weren't paid. The only thing I will say is that if I want to do a DD (still not sure) I won't have enough typical Christmas stuff since I never really bought any, but who says DD has to be typical Christmas right? So if I decide too I will use what I have YAY!

I have also found that when I have a bad day (like today) I have to catch myself from buying something anything to make myself feel better. Instead today I vented on FB with some fellow Moms, wrote things down and cleaned more LOL! It didn't make me feel better but it was nice to notice that I was only wanting to buy for the instant gratification without thought to the impending guilt does that make sense?

As for my oldest item I really have no clue. I would have to say some shaped scissors, although I only keep them for DD since I could NEVER EVER cut straight with them LOL!

Hey, frozen peas. Is anyone scrapping today or have plans to scrap this weekend? I just finished my 22nd layout for the month and I used a little mustard yellow metal frame that's been in my stash for probably about 8+ years. It went perfectly on a fall page.

Treyaut-Thank you for the good thoughts!

True Story, my frozen friends:
I just had 50% 12 by 12 Washi Sheets in my hand and I PUT THEM BACK! It was a victory for me!

Excited to scrap tonight and keep working on my goal!

The oldest product in my stash is a sticker sheet of hearts I've had since 1997. I'm staring at it now , wondering how I'm going to use some of it up tonight , since I am scrapping right now.

On the bright side, I did just use two patterned papers I've had for 4/5 years on a layout, as well as a die-cut I've had since forever and older stickers and washi. Really love how it turned out!

It is great to have so many people joining us in the freezer. Because I have cleaned through my stash a few times... I believe the oldest collection is from Making Memories it is pink and black and ivory.... I think that it is called Sabrina.
I've been thinking about Christmas and what if any scrappy gifts i would like to receive. Since I already have a great stash and so many things that I have not yet used... I think I would like a gift card to take an online class through two peas. I would like to support the site even though I don't want to bring in more stuff and an inspirational class would be fun.

Andtyler, good thought! Ladies what are you going to ask for at Christmas time if you are frozen then?

I don't want anything scrappy but may ask for a small gift card to Ms or Js for adhesive purchases. All i really want is an Origami owl locket with three charms and for my kiddos to have a great one (since they are small and still believe!)

@treyaut: CONGRATULATIONS on 78 days!!! (I had to shout I was so happy for you!) Awesome work!! That's very exciting, as well, as encouraging for those of us just finding a place to settle here in the freezer

@ElsaBelle: Yes, hopefully scrapping and creating some here this weekend (rain in the forecast last I heard) and possibly tonight. Double thumbs up to you for making 22 LOs so far this month. Way to go! And kudos for using a frame from long ago stash! You're on fire!!

@Scrappykindofgirl - way to walk away from the sale priced 12x12 washi sheets. Sounds totally EMPOWERING!! (Albeit potentially painful at the get go) Great job!

@andtyler - great idea to ask for a class at Christmas - still supporting creative endeavours (yours and 2peas business!) but keeping more physical items at bay if you already have plenty (as I look around sheepishly)

Oldest product? I have NO IDEA, but I have some ancient stuff hiding out in my space. It's small and contained and generally quiet, so I leave it be unless it becomes too ornery. I definitely have some OLD Making Memories (like original letter stickers I have gifted to my kiddos) and 7Gypsies - Rebecca Sower era

And here, I need to get off here and get busy making some Christmas gifts on my ever growing list of handmade items to give. (Also a great way to use stash!)

Hi there ElsaBelle. Thank you for the invite. I tend towards the Frugal/recycling so I have enjoyed going through this thread to see how you guys are staying on the Frozen Wagon. Before I purchase something, I think long about it ...can I do this myself, etc. If you guys are interested I use the Counterfeitkitchallengeblog that helps you create a monthly kit using your stash{the owner/design team there select a kit club to counterfeit.

Thanks Peas! Walking away from the Washi sheets was hard, but I need to prove to MYSELF that I CAN and will do this!

On a positive note, I scrapped an awesome page last night using up 4 sheets of 12 by 12 paper (hello 25 piece packs of AC pp bought at BL), about 6 pieces of 6 by 6 paper, and misted until my heart was content.

Project 3/30 of my goal complete!

@JoyceRodli: I also love the Counterfeit (CKC) - I know some of the DT members whom I am privileged to call scrappy friends (much love to them!!), and I also scrap on the recycle/frugal side because I like the creativity required. (But having scrapped for over 2 decades still leads to quite a stash I'm afraid...)

Had a great scrappy weekend and I'm so thrilled to have used some of the suggestions I read here during the week.

I actually opened and used a pack of embellishments I had hoarded -
used a whole sheet of corrugated paper that I had been afraid to use -
used an old MME photo overlay in my layering -
even made and used a 3x4 journaling card out of some old packaging that was too pretty to toss out.

Thanks for the all the ideas of how to fall in love with my stash again.

I started working on thank you cards this weekend. It was with the new paper that was in my last order, but the embellishments are all from my stash. And I finished gathering up the supplies for my 30 Days of Thankful album.

For Christmas, I'm going to ask for a gc to Michael's so that I can buy the album and page protectors that I need.

Like princessesmith, I also didn't get any scrapping in as I had work to do but I also didn't shop and was in the M's shopping center twice to the grocery...I live ACROSS the street from M's!

So happy everyone is finding strength and inspiration here!

So far I finished one layout, two cards, and a holiday Christmas Card holder for a design team project! I'm still going too! Enjoying this 3 day weekend!

Hi Fellow Frozen Peas!

45 days since my last scrap purchase. I'm still playing with my Fall stash and made a mini out of extra PL 3x4s to jot down daily thanks in November. Going to make custom Christmas Gift Tags out of the rest.

Got a 3-day crop coming up--a real test of will for me. Told my scrap buddy I have no spending money for this, so she will keep me accountable.

I am still frozen. Yesterday I watched another episode of Tool School with Jen Gallacher. That got me thinking! I didn't have any time to scrap yesterday and today is my 18th wedding anniversary so I'll probably have to spend time with DH but maybe tomorrow I'll have some time to scrap. I have a lot of ideas rolling around in my head!

Hello all....I am still frozen and getting things done. I started and completed a mini album of DH and I trip to Disney in April. Just us, no kids, it was a fabulous trip and we got to enjoy Disney "our way". Nothing like hearing the kids whining about having to visit every country in Epcot LOL!!!

The kit was from an acrylic album class I took at CK, which was good, instructor was good, it was just a bit basic, so I just took the kit home and added my style but adding other element and pages to it other than acrylic. I like how MY DISNEY MINI turned out.

High fives to all of you that dug into their stash and got some scrapping done over the weekend. I didn't get to scrap over the weekend and probably won't be able to scrap today either. I'm hopeful about tomorrow, though. I have a grid layout on my scrap table that's not going smoothly. I need to find some inspiration and get it done. I'm so close to getting my 2011 pictures done! I'm excited to be so close to reaching that goal.

ElsaBelle 2011 done? OMG I'm trying to get 1980's done, I manage to take more pics and have less layouts. The good thing about digital is you dont' have to print like you use to with film

Way to go everyone who is scrapping. I think I should have some time in a week or so. I really want to get a Thankful mini done before November. Would like to get one done for DD too. I can do it. Once we get DGD's first birthday party out of the way Sunday I will have some time freed up and plan on scrapping again.

My scrapbooks start with 1999/2000 pictures when my oldest child was born. I suppose I could scrap my childhood or young adult years or my newlywed years but I never have. I chose to start there and move forward. Not even considering scrapping anything before that point in time keeps me sane.

I only managed to make one layout on Friday and a card on Saturday. The card was for a 3 year old, so I used a lot of colorful stash. I used a page from the 6x6 Amy Tangerine Sketchbook I have and used some day glow heidi swapp photo corners to the make the card, so some beautiful older stash was put to good use.

Okay, confession time: I happened to be driving by one of my favorite LSS's that I go to only once a year b/c it is an hour's drive from my house. I was w/DH and we stopped. He tooled around the town while I shopped. Yes,, I shopped. I did spend less than $20 which was good for me b/c normally I'd drop around $100 there.
So back in the freezer I go !!

If I happened upon a LSS I'd probably shop, too. There isn't an LSS anywhere in my area so I'd take advantage of being able to actually see and touch products. I go to one that's about 2 1/2 hours away once or twice a year and do some shopping. The last time I shopped there was in August. 75 days ago. Surprisingly, I only spent about $20, too. Have fun with your new supplies!

Welcome to all the new Frozen Peas!

Just got back from a 3-day scrappy weekend w/some pals and got 23 pages done (not a lot for some of you, but the best I've ever managed) and did most of it w/stuff that I've had for years.

I will confess that we did hit a LSS & another big box, but I kept it down and am now hopping to the waaaaay back of the freezer.

I'm looking forward to another scrappy retreat in November where I plan to purge beforehand and share.

Hang in there ladies and keep scrappin'!

I am going to keep making myself kits from my stash, with the inspiration of the Counterfeit Kit club and Shimelle, to keep myself from buying anything new-if you would like to see my kits from my stash, I posted on my blog:
My Stash kits
I am determined to stick with this! I have made up a whole stack of "Starting Points" to work on-went through 2 4-packs of adhesive runners!

Jumpin in the frozen veggie pond. I wasted time at J's and M's today. I thought I could use coupons on items but they were on sale. I have 2 50% off coupons. What a waste of time, energy and gas. Jumping in again through 12/31-if not longer.

Sorry I have been M.I.A here. I haven't had much time lately with a huge workload that I gotta do. I will confess I did step out of the freezer but for good reason. In my stash I don't own any Christmas paper. What the heck. I guess I didn't feel the need back when I started since it was just hubs and I. I bought a few pages for my MIL's album but that was it. I am now back in the freezer and as promise I am re starting the counter.

I was at HL yesterday and was browsing the scrapbook aisles but had no desire to buy anything

I recorded HSN (scrapbooking) today and saw quite a few things I normally would have bought. But I stayed in the freezer. I really want the we r memory keepers 3x4 rounded edge punch. But figured I can cut and round the corners myself. They had a really cute paper pak I would have loved to have. But I resisted
