Had to laugh @ Kathy's (SWL) post on the Halloween image thread. Seems she's using an image from a previous swap & has no idea who sent it. LOL! I used one from the current swap & have to try figuring out which swapmate sent it. My brain hurts...

Great to see so many checking in & commenting!

Just got my tag(s) from Joyce--plus lots more goodies. Love them all.

Also got my medal from GC (awesome).

Guess what? there's 'spookiness' afoot!

Watch for a thread.

Joyce took a great photo of my so simple & humble tag.

LOL! I just thought of what I could have used as a project title, but I like the one I chose, too.

Anyhoo, here's sweet tooth.

I needed to come back here to find the requirements for this tag. I was working on some experiments last night. I'm glad I came back because I totally forgot about the diecut requirement! time to rethink this!

April. That's a difficult question to answer. Joanne & I got ours in about a week, but I sent a piece to a friend in Philly that took almost 2 weeks for her to receive. Go figure!

I'd PM my swapmate just to be safe.

I think I'm going to make 'checking in' (once a week) a requirement for my future swaps. It's so easy for us to get busy or have problems, but without some contact, it can leave swapmates wondering & that's not a 'good thing'.

LOL, April! How's that for 'service'? Joanne (GC) & I got ours in pretty good time, but PA is much closer to Ontario than AK is.

Angie. That's great! Always fun when our pals send us goodies along with the great tag they've made just for us!

Pearl (& everyone). Thanks for checking in & keeping us updated on progress & 'problems'.

Can't wait to see all the other Oct. tags!

Great tag Joanne-loved your gesso stamping...thanks for sharing!

Here is my tag in the gallery.

It uses a fun technique to use occassionly. I hosted a challenge for this technique in 2010.Here is a link in case you want to other samples.

Angie so glad you enjoyed the extra well loved goodies. I appreciate the opportunity to clean another corner of my craft room!

Just FWIW? LeighAnn did an 'inhand' date (Oct. 5) for this month's tag. I think she wants us all to be in good shape for SOF (which begins Oct. 12).

Heidi. I wouldn't be concerned. USPS can be slow even with close 'snail mail'. But Marshia may be having 'problems'--hope not.

My take on having a swapmate let me know the piece has arrived is 14 days after mailing. If I haven't heard from them by then (& they haven't posted on the swap thread), I figure there's a problem.

In that case I would upload & share my swap piece, while still trying to connect with my swapmate.

Heidi I recv'd your tag here Saturday, but didn't have the chance to check the box until Sunday afternoon. The tag is soooo cool!

I love that except for the sentiment, all the stamps used are non-Halloween stamps! Heidi did an awesome job combining these to create a composition that so works! Love, love, LOVE it! Thanks!

I WILL have mine in the mail before week's end.

Marshia, I'm really glad you like it. Your are right, except the sentiments, the stamps aren't Halloween. One set is fall, though.

Figure Pug won't mind if I add a 'head's up' to the thread so current tag swappers know...

Since LeighAnn is 'due' to be busy soon, she has asked me to be her substitute host for the November swap.

I'll start the thread--sign-up & ongoing one--tomorrow 9/29. She felt we needed to get the start before SOF13 since we get really busy @ the party.

Now back to our regular monthly thread...

It's true, I've not had been able to do much on the board in the last month. Y'all have been posting some really great challenges! I hate that I've been unable to participate. Thanks again for keeping me lifted up.

Heidi- I mailed my tag to you last Thursday. I hope it arrives quickly. Thanks for bein' such a patient partner!

I'm so hoping to be able to play along during SOF and to have some time in the gallery to see what y'all have been creating.

With the LeighAnn's birth happening--c-section this week I think--she may not be posting much this week. So we may all want to pitch in & keep updated on whose tags have yet to be sent.

I know we have a couple of tag swappers who have shared that theirs may not be 'on deadline'. Thanks to them for sharing the info.

Haven't seen any posts from Taradid or Freckled Cupcakes since joining the swap. Hope they are both doing ok & check in with us.

We already have a goodly number signed on for the Nov. tag.

Another 'international' swap. Sarbear is an 'Aussie' (like Christin) & Pearl is in Canada (I think).

I know Pug & the rest of us so appreciate knowing how are fellow swappers are doing--especially if they are having problems making the 'deadline'.

Hello all! I seem to be killing another computer, so I haven't had the opportunity to look at the lovelies in the gallery. I am mailing out my tag to Rebecca(freckled_cupcakes) after work today. Fortunately, my camera sems to be working, so I should be able to get pics and will post after my tag arrives.

Hopefully, with buying a new laptop this weekend, I can get some of my past tags off of "deadish" computer number one and get them in the gallery. I didn't want to put them on dying computer number two, since it is a loaner from my husband's work. Aha, the joys of technology!

Maybe I should sign up for the Nov. Tag swap, I know what I would be thankful for! -Tara
