I was honored to have my turquoise photo picked for August's color challenge, and I'm excited to choose a new color for September. I've decided to choose RED! . Red is one of my favorite colors, and not always easy to photograph. From brick red to apple red to rose red, there are countless reds in nature and in the man-made world. I hope you find something inspiring to photograph this month!

Enter as many times as you like, and we welcome newbies too.

Winner of the previous color challenge will state the color for the challenge and then pick the winner. The winner will then be responsible for starting the next color for October and choose the winner-so on and so forth!

PREVIOUS COLORS:
Jan- Sparkle&Shine
Feb- Spring Green
March- Pastels
April-50 shades of Yellow
May-Blue
June-Bold
July-Kaleidoscope
August- Turquoise

The Previous Color Challenge Winner may participate, but is not eligible for winning the challenge.

All pictures must be NEW!!! This is to help you learn and get to shooting more.

A little red dahalia from my garden.

A tiny little geranium bud.

Tomatoes!

Well, this was one of the hardest creative choices I've ever had to make... there were so many gloriously red subjects, beautiful photos, and creative interpretations of this month's color challenge! I loved the huge variety- native dancer, fruit, bird, dog, flowers, leaves, buildings...how to pick one? But I did.

So, without further ado, this month's color challenge winner is Lori Z for her fabulous photo of her DGD and a train:

Everyone's photos were fantastic, and I'd also like to call out a couple of others that caught my eye: Heartcat's rope and post, Coolbean's spoonbill, Joann's tandem bike & geranium buds.

Thanks everyone for participating! It was a joy to see such amazing talents!
