Her immune system is vulnerable and all sorts of crap lives in that recycled air.
Babies are born with very high levels of Mom's antibodies which they received through the placenta. They continue to receive them through passive immunity if they are breastfed. At about 3 months old a baby's immune system starts to develop their own antibodies.
Personally, I would ask my pediatrician but would most likely go on the trip.

I fly a lot and have a weak immune system.
Never once become ill after a flight. An I don't take any of those fake immune system builders.

Why do people act like a newborns need some kind of bubble protection against the world? There are no problems with flying 2 hours in a plane.

I flew with my DD when she wasn't quite 6 weeks old. My cousin got married in Lake Tahoe and I was in the wedding. Didn't really think of NOT going. Dr said go and enjoy - much easier to fly with an infant - and he sure was right. DD did great - and since I was on maternity leave we got to make a real vacation out of it. win-win! I say go and have fun!
I drank the whole fairy.

I would go! Any time I get to spend in the mountains of Colorado I'll do whatever it takes to get there.

|Posted: 9/29/2013 10:41:45 AM|I would go! My daughter was a seasoned traveler by six months. Heck we decided to wait on finding gender out, and the day we left the hospital, I insisted we go shopping for girl clothes! Yupe 2 days old and out at bays r us and a few other places.
I never really gave it much thought. And surprise, the kid is healthy as a horse and has been sick once in her almost 8 years. .
