Happy Fall Ladies!

Sorry I was not around last month. School (i'm taking a course online) and work and life just caught up to me. I was on the chat, but not here.

WEEK 1: Conversation - What is fall for you?
Fall for me is the leaves changing, the cooler weather, hot apple cider from starbucks (and now my keurig!), boots, scarves and mittens

WEEK 2: Conversation - What was your best childhood costume for Halloween?
Best halloween costume is probably a hippy or a witch. I don't remember much of my younger halloween costumes.

Caro: Thanks for all the challenges!

Monica: I'm doing no buy october too!

Michelle: Your printables are so cute!

Dee: Yay for dress shopping! I've been doing the same thing these past few weeks with my friend. I'm her maid of honor, so I go along with dress shopping! It helps that I LOVE weddings, planning and going to them so!

Rachel: Hopefully you can get around to scrapping! I know what it's like to want to scrap, but housework takes over.

Well, as Melissa said, it's Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, so i'm off for 3 days!! I have dinner at my best friends house with her, her boyfriend and her family Sunday. My parents decided to go to Great Falls for the weekend, and so Josh didn't want to go home for 3 days to just visit his parents, which I was fine with. I wanted to stay here anyways this weekend. Atleast we still get turkey!! I'm hoping that we can go home for Christmas... I only get Christmas Day and Boxing Day off for sure so My sister and her boyfriend are coming home from Peace River... so i'm really hoping we can go home because I miss her and haven't seen her since August long weekend.

Well, i'm off to get ready. Meeting up with a friend later and then have a few errands to do.

Hey there!
I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Heather and I'm 17 years old. I'm actually new to twopeasinabucket, but started scrapping when I was 13. I took a break for a while, but returned to it this year for my senior year. I know I don't fit into your age group, but I haven't found anyone who scrapbooks around my age so I kinda feel like an outcast. I haven't posted any layouts or projects yet, but I plan on doing so in the future. Nice to meet you.

Hi girls !

Finally Sunday, Saturday flew by... and today we are having people over (I will explain at the end). First I am going to answer to everyone

@Michelle: I love your pics on IG, it seems that you are always off somewhere, maybe this is why I think you have a lot of free time!
Really pretty knew printables!! If we use your pritables do you want us to link it on a comment on your blog?

@Melissa: yes I understand the "don't want to pay someone else's morgage" but as the same time, all the problems (broken stuff, leaks...) it become your problem... no more landlord or agency to sage you

@Monica: I am glad to read you again! Yolur life seems pretty intense! Good luck darling with work and school!!

@Loni: I am here!! I had a crazy end of week...
I received the cards!!!! Thanks everyone!! And Loni thanks for the Fall Mix, I have not opened it yet (too scared everyone will chip in and will end up with nothing... If I open the packet how long will they remain good? do you suggest me to keep them in a air tight container?

@Canadians: Happy Thanksgiving!!! Can someone explain to me the story of the Canadian turkey day? (I am more familiar with he Americain thanksgiving)

@Dee: I am glad you are getting the hand of Whole 30 days, this is nearly the middle of the month!!
To answer your question, I am doing my "choctober" until the 31st of October (including). And hopefully reducing my consomation of chocolate in November.

@Rachel: have you manage to catch up on chores?? Good luck with them if not. And happy scrappy time if you are lucky!

@Heather: Hi heather, welcome among us, don't worry about your age, you are always welcome here!! My name is Caro I am French but live in London in the UK. My family lives in France. I am a language secondary teacher (French, Spanish and German) looking for a job. I love travelling, scrapbooking (and mostly scrapping my travel photos)...

Okay, I officially finished my work in the primary school... a bit sad but hopefuly I will be on call next week starting from 7.30am to do some cover supervisor.
Had a few viewings last week, we might have found the one, but lets see what next week brings...
yesterday went to the pub from 4 to 11pm for a friends Bday, it was nice.
today, eating all the food from our freezer, because it broke yesterday... on the menu: paella and chili con carne!!

Caro, they will get hard if you don't wrap them up tight - well they do in my state. Maybe in a wet place like London they won't. Haha. But the ones that are brown on the wide end - that's chocolate! You probably knew that, but I thought I'd warn you anyway.

Heather! Yay for being a senior! That will be so fun to scrapbook. I'm Loni, wife, mom and scrapbooker. I just turned 30, I'm one of the older gals.

Church was good today. I may be project lifing later!

hey girls! I'm so far behind on chatter I know, lame!

Life is busy busy. I worked 6 days this week, including having to be there at 6:45 Friday morning and Saturday morning, too. Luckily, tomorrow is a bank holiday, and I have Tuesday off!

Friday, I went with my friend to CKC (scrapbook convention). It was extremely disappointing! There were barely any vendors compared to last year, and about half the booths weren't even scrapbook/craft related! So we left very bummed. Although I did save money! I ended up taking my mom out to dinner at our favorite little pizza place that night instead.

Yesterday, I met up with my cousin and we did a bit of shopping. Then we went to another cousin's 30th birthday party. Long story short, there have been a lot of conflicts in my family over the years and the night didn't end well. My cousin I went with left very upset, and other cousins' behaviors weren't great, and it was a mess!

After that, I slept in until noon today Then I made queso dip and watched the football game for a bit, and scrapped. It was a nice, relaxing day for a change!

I'll catch up on chatter tomorrow!

WEEK 1: Conversation - What is fall for you?
Fall usually means that life slows down a bit and is more relaxed. It means watching the leaves change colors, the air getting cooler, wearing warm clothes and comfy boots, yummy treats like apple cider and pumpkin muffins, carving pumpkins & getting ready for Halloween.

WEEK 2: Conversation - What was your best childhood costume for Halloween?
This is a hard one! The first costume I remember is a butterfly (complete with sparkly wings) - my mom has kept the wings all these years. I also remember being Minnie Mouse and loving that! For many years, I wanted to be a princess. When we were really poor, I would wear one of my mom's old bridesmaid dresses (dang, they were skinny back in the day!), even though it would drag on the ground!

we had our dinner and it was great! we got to bring home leftovers as usual

i was planning to stay home and scrap today, but it's such a beautiful day today so jonny and i are going to head to granville island. it's pretty much an outdoor public market with amazing eateries, handmade goods, local produce, art ext...

caro, i don't know the full story of the canadian thanksgiving but i am pretty sure it's similar to the american... i never payed attention in social studies

i have to help jonny today do some business tax stuff, but i should be around later

Hello, I am new to this page. I will be turning 30 in about 2 weeks. I am a mom of two. Can I join? Not really sure how all of this works. I've been scraping since I was a kid but never socialized with it. When is the new weekly challenge posted? I am trying to get back in the habit of scrapping daily. I thought this would be a great way to start that adventure.

Hi Ladies! Sorry I haven't been around on the threads lately....work has been crazy and I'm trying to get back into things

Question1: Fall to me is sweaters, leggings, boots, and homemade soup!

Question2: my best costume was the year my Mom made me into mcdonalds french fries. She made the cardboard container out of large bristel board red with a big yellow m and my arms stuck out the sides and then she cut large foam fries and glue them on the inside so they circled my head. It was my most favorite costume EVER!!!

Thanks Rachael;
Week 1:
Fall for me is the smell in the air as it starts to cool off.
Week2:
Not one costume sticks out from when I was a kid. We all just pulled from a bin of family costumes (6 kids) and went off. As an adult I dressed my daughter and I up as tinker bell and we really liked that.

Hi girls

@Amanda: Welcome!
I just posted the new challenge for this week!

@Monica: don't worry, we all know that like gets crazy at this time of year (+ you starting a new jo

@Loni: thanks for the answer, still have not open them yet, I will do it to celebrate a good news (and put aside the chocolate ones until November!!)

@Rachel: good luck with "week in the life"

@Melissa: I need to ask wikipedia!!

@Stazy: nice to see you again!!

@Michelle: I need to print them (tomorrow if I am still unemployed)

So for the last 2 days I woke up at 6.30 and was ready at 7.30 in case the agency would call me for some cover, but nothing... both days I went back to bed from 9 to 11.30pm... yes I know not serious, but I need it... So tomorrow I decided not to get up, and wait for the call in bed!

In the last 2 days, I sent 4 CVs and was contacted by a new agency. Let's hope this bring something good.

Tonight Damien took me to a nice/fancy restaurant. Too bad the food was not at my taste, and the only desert I would have eaten was the chocolate one... so we left without desert.

Thursday and Friday I am going for a 2 day training in a castle to improve my "behaviour management" skills, really excited (the place looks amazing) and everything is free!! (meal, taxi, train, hotel...)

Saturday or Sunday I will go to a language fair, where I will meet other professionals and see if there is something else I can do with my languages (while I look for a full time jo.

As you can read, I am a busy bee!!

Amanda, are you using the 2peas app? Rachel and Melissa have ipads so they'll answer better. If you aren't on the app, that should help.
I'm Loni, btw! I'm 30, married with children, live on a cattle ranch.

Rachel, Nooo! I want to scrap with you! I can't do it tonight but let's set up a hangout soon! Ya'll can see how chubby Jack is getting.

Caro, princess for a day? haha, sounds cool. Damien sounds like a sweetheart. Good luck with the job hunt! I think you should do private lessons more!

Melissa, How is your house hunt going?

Michelle, your pizza looked so yummy! B has wanted to try pizza on the grill, I'll suggest the tiles. he checks my IG sometimes so he probably saw it.

I'm a busy momma, I'm making a princess room for my girls this week. Miss you girls!

Hey girls!

Just checkin' in to see how everybody's doing.. Got a lot of thread updates in my mail Just got home from work and had dinner (fiancé cooked) Now off to do some chores... I have a lot of messes to clean up around the house, but I have so little time to get to them (rearrange my closet, sort out books, sort out scrappy stuff).. I just have too much stuff.. Need to de-clutter Hopefully I'll be able to get at least something done tonight

@Caro: half way through now with the Whole30 thing.. Still having ups&downs, but I suppose it goes quite well That's my goal as well with this... That after these 30 days I'll be able to easily reduce 'bad things' in my diet

Any news on the jobhunting & appartment searching yet? And are you keeping your head up? Those two days of training sound promising and the castle is gorgeous!!

@ Monica: busy busy girl I saw some fun pics of yesterday on IG though

@ Melissa: how was thanksgiving? do you guys celebrate it in the same way the Americans do?

@ Michelle: I eat muesli normally with yoghurt & fruit.. either fresh or dried fruit.. And sometimes some nuts and/or honey as well

@ Loni: can't wait to see what the princess room will look like! Super fun!

To all new girls: Welcome! I'm Dee, 27 y/o.. I live in the Netherlands together with my fiancé.. We'll get married June next year Hope you enjoy yourselfs here

As for this weeks conversation topic... My favourite fall recipe.. I'll have to think of that some more.. I don't think I have typical fall ones.. More fall/winter stuff.. But I suppose that's alright.. although I have made this delicious pumpkin risotto ones... That could be it.. I'll check back in later to post this

Anyway.. I'm off to do some cleaning.. Yay! Fun!

Hello everyone! Apologies for not posting. I need to catch up with the chat. I made a fall banner for last weeks challenge just have to take pics and upload. I'm going to work on the greys this week, hopefully.

Life is changing a bit. I had a feeling that they were going to get rid of me by the end of the year. But a job opening just opened up and I went for it. I had my first interview today and having a second one tomorrow. I'll be back than to share my project. Many hugs everyone and hope everyone has a great Hump Day!!!

Fav fall recipe: my pumpkin pie - but I cannot share or I would have to kill all of you

Been so busy with work. Sadly, I have skipped a few days of yoga so I am going to try my best to double up classes and do weekend classes!
Strangely the weather has been amazing here - pure sun for pretty much the last week and this week! warm too
I am hoping to be around a little bit this weekend... The weekend cannot come soon enough!

Dee, I'm pretty sure it's similar to the American thanksgiving. Reflection of what you are thankful for and gobble gobble? LOL

Loni, no house hunting yet... Jonny want to see an accountant before he proposes the plan to his parents (I think I mentioned the plan earlier here or on chat?)

Amanda, you should have no problem uploading and finding the challenge on your ipad. It works on mine (app). If you haven't already tried "closing" your app, turning off your ipad for a few min and retrying? If not maybe try uninstalling it then reinstalling... if that doesn't work, send 2peas a support ticket and they should be able to help you!

Rachel, bummer! Does it hurt having it blocked? Hope you feel better soon

Hey guys. Lots of pain. Now on antibiotics and I have to go to the doctor first thing if I still have pain, fever, and redness tomorrow.

hola chicas!
Busy around here - seems like the norm! Lots of work and homework. But I'm still fitting a teeny bit of scrapping in here & there. I just never get around to posting my layouts. Argh!

Lots of new faces around here!
My little intro:
I'm Monica, almost 28y/o, from Kansas City. I work as a teller at a credit union and am back in school full time to finally finish my bachelors in accounting. Single with no kids - my baby is a toy chihuahua named Dinky. That's it in a nutshell - I'm boring!

Rach- ouch! That sounds really painful. Hope you are better soon. We've missed chatting with ya!

melmarilyn- hi & welcome! Tell us a little about you. I see you live in Colorado... my bro is in Denver, along with the g-units.

Melissa- You skipped yoga?! Shame shame!

Ruthie- I'm sorry to hear about the job. That's a bummer! But great news about the other opening. Best of luck with your interview! Maybe it will be a blessing in disguise

Dee- Yes, I have been busy! And those pics you saw on IG were from a much-needed girls day out with my best friend. It really helped me to get through the rest of the week!

Heather- hi! Nice to "meet" you. I think as far as the "scrap with me" thing, I know people do it via Skype, Google Hangouts, chatrooms, discussion forums, etc. I think the basic idea is you are scrapping & chatting with others at the same time.

Amanda- To see the challenge submissions, click on Caro's peaname (she did the opening post & blog post this month). Under her profile, you will see a link on the left side for "Member's Blog." Then, if you click on the blog title for October, it will show all the submissions at the bottom.

Michelle- I don't know how you are supposed to eat muesli, but my mom makes baked apples with muesli on the inside. They are delish! And pizza on ceramic tiles?! I have never heard of that! How did it turn out?

WEEK 3: Conversation - What is you favorite recipe for fall (we want everything - ingredients and how to make it!!) ?
Ooo, hard to pick just one! My favorites are baked apples, pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, baked potato soup, and pumpkin spice almonds. I'll have to post recipes another time.

Happy Friday!!!

I am feeling so much better! Yay antibiotics and not having to go to the doctor today!

Ry works this weekend and I am on call.

My plans include : chores, scrapping, winterizing my yard, teaching Sunday school, and maybe a workout if I am feeling up for it.

Rachel, sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well and in pain, but so glad that you're feeling better now!!

Monica, the pizza came out pretty good! Nice crust on the bottom, though I'll have to tweak some things in the actual recipe of dough and pizza sauce.

Discussion Question: Hmmm, I don't know if I have a particular favorite recipe for fall... quite honestly, I am ALWAYS trying new recipes. But I guess my favorite recipes in general are
1. Mini chicken pot pie dumpling thingies in puff pastries
2. Mini turkey/pork and mushroom meatloaves
3. Salmon cakes

Lately I've also been enjoying making banana bread, and like I've mentioned before, muesli/granola with yogurt for breakfast

That's kind of a lot of things, so let me know if you guys want the recipes for any particular ones

TGIF, I'm ready for the weekend!! Not sure about plans for tonight yet... Dan wants to invite people over to play games, but if not, I'll probably just scrapbook/sketch. I'm taking a lettering class right now (It's only $10 if you want to check it out and take it with me), which some of you might have seen on IG, and I really want to make some good progress on my project!! I'm also going apple picking tomorrow with friends, along with all the typical fall activities - hay rides, corn mazes, apple pie eating I'm excited hehe.

Rach - happy that you are feeling better!

Monica - thank you so much.

I had the interviews and got the job!!! I'm very excited and happy. The person that has the position is retiring and today is her last day. So I basically have one day to learn everything. A bit overwhelming, but hopefully I can do.

Be back later tonight after work or tomorrow!!!

Hope everyone has a great FRIDAY!!! Woot! Woot! (BTW, sorry for all the !!!! I'm just really excited and want to hug everyone right now. LOL)

TGIF!!!
My weekends plans have changed. No date night because Jonny forgot he had a wedding gig so Saturday afternoon-evening I will join whoever is around!

Monica, yes I know. I feel guilty skipping!

Rachel, glad to hear you are feeling better!

Michelle, muslie/yogurt/fruit is pretty much all I hate when I was in South East Asia for breakfast... I think it's delish! Your fall plans sound fun. All my friends and Jonny are boring people and just like to drink

Ruthie, congrats! Hope it all goes well!

Yay!!! Friday is finally here. We'll this week was actually short for me. I had shortened classes 3 days in a row, because a freshman pulled the fire alarm, I took the ASVAB, and we had an assembly, but Friday could not have been anymore glorious.

Everyone seems like they are having fun this weekend.
I'm just planning on catching up on my journaling since I just jot down key words on weekdays and making project life cards and cover page for my scrapbook. The rest of the time will be spent on homework, college applications, and my resume.
