I made a mistake and ordered glitter instead of embossing powder.

Now I am wondering what to do with it. Even with glue, glitter never sitcks completely and end up brushing and spreading over the page protector. I hate that.

Please give me ideas on what to use it?

Just an idea since you meant to order embossing powder--check out Jennifer McGuires video where she adds glitter to her embossing powder. I cant wait to try this myself.

i use it on DIY thickers as well. i also put dots of glue on flowers, butterflies, birds to bling it up a bit as the center of the flower, the butterfly wings, the birds eye.

Mix it with my embossing powder, such a great idea! Love it! And I'll be able to use it for my original purpose.

Do you have the link for Jennifer's technic?

I'll put some on my stickers and thickers too.

You can use a bit of Glossy Accents, or such, to seal the glitter also.

I add glitter when embossing all the time....while your embossing powder is still wet, just sprinkle a bit over the item...it will stick when dry.
You could also add some to paints, watercolours for fall or Christmas.......

I use glitter quite a bit and don't really find that I have a big problem with it shedding. Some does come off, but not more than a few stray pieces and it doesn't really bother me too much -- but I do love glitter so maybe I am just too forgiving!

I adhere it with Mod Podge. A good thick coat of MP and then a liberal coating of glitter. Let sit for a bit, tap off the excess and then let it dry completely. Then I give it a pretty good tapping (usually flick the back with my finger, over scrap paper to catch the strays as much as possible) to get off the little bits that didn't adhere well.

I just purchase it and really don't do anything with it. I just ordered some heat and stick powder that is supposed to work great with glitter. I haven't received it yet. So not sure if I will be using my glitter or not. lol

I usually use it for Christmas projects and tags. They make a glitter sealer spray. I saw some at Ms a couple days ago. I think Krylon makes it. Or putting glitter on top of glossy accents holds it good too.

I do have the sticky embossing powder. I plan to use it again. And I seal it with the glossy accent. I just think it's a rather long process.

Stamp, put embossing sticky powder, emboss, add glitter, cover it with glossy accent, wait for it to dry.

Gosh! I was looking from some other ways cause this one I don't do too often...

I think I should buy the glitter sealer spray...

I use it with my modeling paste you can sprinkle it over the top and then heat set or you can mix it in with your modeling paste for a more sandy look to the paste

I just used glitter glue - aka ranger Stickles and squeezed that onto a template for this layout .

I just had another idea! I could do pockets with velum and throw glitter in it!

I would use a good chunk that way!

I love just having a tiny bit of it sparkling on my page. So I'd create glitter ribbon using adhesive fabric tape and then tuck two short lengths of it under another embellishment.

Last year I did snow globe winter cards with acetate over them and used glitter inside!

Spill it.

I do use it on mini books and banners. I really like to edge pages with glue and then cover with glitter. It's a gorgeous look!

I am wanting to cover white, battery operated candles with red glitter. Do you think the light will still shine thru? I need six red, glittery, battery operated candles but they are much more expensive than the plain white.

I just made another layout with glitter. I used double sided adhesive. It works amazingly well. The glitter does not fall off after the initial clean up.

You are awesome my dear friend!
