I love my room. I designed a desk that my dad built and my mom painted. I cannot say how much it means to me. I am now buying containers to fit into the cubbies in the desk. So much fun. I will post photos soon.

I'd better like it, since I custom designed it when we contracted to build this house!

My scrap space is a loft off our great room. I love being in the main living area of the house; because it's upstairs, I don't have to keep it 100% picked up all the time and can leave projects out, which allows me to work in there for short bursts of time or long hauls. I have a sink, a small fridge for drinks, and built in cabinet space. I love my custom built desk; I only wish it wasn't so heavy! There is a small balcony through large french doors where I can go outside and sit (and think) if the mood strikes me. I love my scraploft; it is probably my favorite room in the house.

Here's a picture of it (before we moved in) looking up from my great room.

No. It's the loft space and it doesn't have a door and I know that although my dh says nothing, that it bothers him that I make a mess up there. But I can't create in a neat, clean fashion. I've tried and it doesn't work. I'm messy when I'm creative.

My space being in an open area was one of my compromises when we bought this house and to be honest, I regret it. I KNEW he would hate my messes, he does hate it (but doesn't say anything because he knows I was the one making the compromise buying this house), I feel bad, but can't change. So then I often feel bad when I should be enjoying myself.

I love my room, but I do wish it was a bit bigger. My room started out life as an enclosed porch, then a playroom for our daughter, then a TV room for our daughter and when our firstgrand child was born, a bedroom for our daughter! When she moved out, I moved in!!

Since it was a porch the south facing wall is all windows as is the east facing wall. This makes the light great, but cuts down on wall space. It is decorated with a beach/vacation theme which is totally different than the rest or our house. I love it. It is all mine!

My room is my sanctuary. Especially since I decided to tweak my organization and it's been in shambles for over a week now. I couldn't get away with that if I scrapped in the dining room. I have a door but honestly, it's always open. It hides my washi tape on the wall from my kids.

We live in a very very small town and a building downtown came up for sale, so my hubby bought it for me at a very very small town price. I love having my own space...........it is very eclectic and just my style.....he named it paperkrafters retreat it is not a store, just a place we can retreat to and create............I thank god every day for my husband.

i have a room that steps down and has french doors off the family room. I have no idea how it was meant to be used. It is approx 12x10 with built in bookshelves at one end. It has our computer, printer/scanner (all on a 6ft plastic banquet table), sewing machine (only used for scrapping) and an old dining room table(where I scrap)in it. I love that I have my own space and it is downstairs! I can only really use the 1st 2 shelves due to height; so ALL of my embellishments are on the wall via a Pottery Barn wall system (magnetic boards and hanging boards) I wish I had the money to put in "built ins for scrapbooking", i.e. Stacy Julian's scrap desk!

I have a room in the basement that is mine. I'm glad to have a room of my own but I don't care for how it's set up. Half of the room ends up being the dumping ground for everything in the house. I feel I spend more time weeding through that stuff and tossing away what isn't needed instead of actual scrapping.

Love it! It's my dining room where no one has ever dined, right next to the kitchen.

I love my crafty studio room! I have been everywhere in our little house, trying to carve out a space for myself. First, a computer armoire in the living room, then that armoire moved to my bedroom. Then I moved to the basement and was down there for a few years. Now, I am in a bedroom on the main floor, since the oldest graduated and moved out. It's an 11x12 room, so not huge, and I have a day bed in here with me, but it's coming along nicely. I am planning to do a big reveal of it next month

I my scrap space. My space is in our finished walkout basement. I have half of the room, and the other half is for our big TV and DS used to play his games down here. DS is now off to college, and DH doesn't like the sofa in that room so it is all mine!

I have a large room, with a walk in closet and a bathroom. I have two huge windows at the end of the room so it isn't too dark. We moved here about 16 years ago. I have a very large/long desk from desk from Ikea that I built using their modular desk units back in 2000. I also bought 4 bookcases at the same time, and another table.

I love my room much more after I did a organization challenge here that took a few months. We worked on one item a week. One week it was paper, another week it was stamps. I'm an organized person, but that challenge really helped.

I count my blessings every day and am very grateful for the space I have.

I scrap in my shed at the bottom of the garden. I love it there. Weirdly I enjoy it more when the weather is cold! I feel quite cozy in it when the rain is coming down.

yes and no. I like that I have 'my own space' (one of our extra bedrooms) and it does have a large window, lets in a lot of light, and has a door (to keep the cats out).

But, the fact that it's an extra bedroom (upstairs, when our family room is downstairs) is also why I DON'T like it. I feel 'cut off' from the action if I'm up there working. So I don't, very often, at all. Plus, I don't keep it clean and organized, so always have to keep the door closed whether I'm in there or not, to keep the cats out of my stuff. That adds to my dissatisfaction with it.

Maybe if it was a room on the first floor, I'd like it more, because it would be easier to wander in and out of...?? probably not, because it would still be disorganized and cluttered. (but that's not the room's fault, it's mine!)

I *just* moved my craft space from the communal home office to our formal dining area because (like most others) we HARDLY used our formal dining room.

Do I love my new space? Not yet. I desperately need a piece of furniture that will hold my paper, photo boxes and a bunch of other oodles that don't have a home in my NEW craft area. I don't want an armoire and I know I have to get creative with furniture because I still want the space to be easy on the eyes vs. an obvious craft space.

The other part is? I can't leave anything out. Even a work in progress has to be corralled together so that my desk doesn't look like it imploded.

It's definitely something I'm working on...but one thing's for sure: I AM ON A SPENDING FREEZE...I can't fit it all in the new space.

I love that I have a space that I don't need to put away after making a mess in.
I don't like that I have to share the room with my children as they don't seem to understand that mummy's desk and anything on it is off limits unless she says you can use it.

No, I don't like my scrap space. It's in our unfinished basement with the washer, dryer, and many shelves of toys and books. I get plenty of day light, but have a single bulb for light at night. The pros of the room is lots of space to spread out and that's all I can think of that is positive.

I'm slowly trying to get rid of a lot of supplies and move everything upstairs to my living room in hidden storage. I have other plans for the basement.

Yes, I have my own studio. Yes I love it! No, I don't at the same time.

I love my beautiful studio full of all the things I love and inspires me. Everything has it's place. It is beautiful and I am so lucky to have it. My DH said to me the other day how much he loves my studio.

My DH has his own studio too. He loves it very much too. Mine is all neat and pretty. His looks like an earthquake happened.

We both also don't love our studios because we are not together any more. You can all stop laughing. We really miss each other. He will be working in his studio and I will work in mine. Our poor cat can't decide who she wants to hang out with so she gets sad too.

We have decided to make an area in our living room for another small art area. That way we have an area we can hang out together. When my DH is at work I have my room. Of course he has his separate room for all his noisy dirty work. He's into glass fusing and woodworking right now.

I LOVE my space. I recently added a counter high desk, so that I can sit or stand to scrap depending on how my hip feels. I wish I could just spend all day there.

I'm just in the process from moving my craft supplies from a spare room to a brand new studio out in the garden. So far, I love it! I had just about given up crafting and sewing because it felt so cramped to work in there. Now, however, I am realizing how much I have and finding wonderful doodads I'd forgotten I had! I can't figure out how to post pictures on this forum (instructions wuld be appreciated) but I have pictures on my blog. Sorry for that but I'd be delighted to have you look.

I have just moved into the Shed in the garden. I love it there. I have my own little space. I can fit all my goodies in and have electric and a heater. Previously I was scattered around the whole house. I do come in to craft too as I am a bit out of the way but it's lovely to have a craft space where I can keep everything x

I have the finished side of the basement as my craft space, and while I am happy that I have a spot for all my stuff, I never scrap down there. I'd rather be in the living room with the TV on for background noise or sitting with Bf while we both work on things.
