Has anyone ever done this?

I don't mean finishing up a current album later on...I mean, doing one from start to finish, a year or more after it happened?

I have SO many Christmas photos from years past, and tons of Christmas supplies in my stash. This will be my first year attempting a December Daily album, and I'm really excited, but I wondered if I should go back and do albums for past years too.

If you've done this, did you have enough photos to do the whole month, and did you remember enough about what you did to make it work? I'm not sure I'd have specific photos from each day, but could probably figure things out to make it work.

Just curious if anyone has done this successfully!

I think it would be worth a shot to do two years at once. While all your stuff is out and you're in the mood, it's so much easier to make two pages at one time rather than wait until July to do a whole book. I never really thought about it but it's kinda a good idea.

yeah, I am thinking I will be more in the Christmas mood and have all of those supplies handy now, so it might be a good time to go for it!

Two years at once is a really good idea. In fact, you could even make a December Memories album and worry less about the "daily" aspect of this year, and just merge the best of past Decembers together? Hmm, come to think of it...

I have totally done this! I never scrap my December album during December. I just take photos and make memories.

During the first two weeks of December 2012, I started and completed my December 2011 album. It arrived 3 days before Christmas.
It was my first digital scrapbook project. You can see it here:
December to Remember 2011

I will assemble my 2012 at a crop in November. So yes, it is very easy to put together a December album a year later.

I probably wouldn't suggested a traditional December Daily for a past year - recording something for every day - but you could definitely work on a minibook of Christmas past.

I see two options - you could choose a year or make it more theme based, mixing photos from different years.

I've done a 12 Events of Christmas before and that was fun.

I wouldn't go back and do a daily, but I totally see adding in pics, embellies and a few sentences and making a December memories type book. You could put a couple years in one book and use tabs to separate by year or group all the years by theme like meeting Santa, cookie baking, first snow fall, etc.

Good ideas, maybe just a mini Christmas album of some sort would be good!

I like this idea too! I don't think a Daily would really make sense at this point. But a mini-album of December memories would be perfect.

I did one after the fact but it didn't end up being daily. I just made a mini album with December happenings and had about 10 different events from the month in it since it was just too much to try and traditional scrap.
