This is one of my favorite projects every year. I like to keep it simple and focus on the gratitude. I'm using CZ 6x4 templates, the brown album from the HSN PL screw-up and assorted other pieces to fill the slots including Harvest from SS, Fall from PL, a paper pad I picked up yesterday at Michael's and other stuff from my stash. It's a hodgepodge and I hope it all comes together nicely.

The only thing I have done is cut up 60 6x6 papers (30 for me, 30 for DBF)). They weren't from a dedicated Fall paper line...but they are all greens, browns, and oranges. I want to ink the edges...I did make a print and cut on my Cameo of the journaling bit and little tabs that say Day 1, Day 2, etc. I am trying to decide whether to print on Kraft cardstock or cream/ivory. I'm going to cut some small leaves...and now that caitlyn mentioned it, some acorns...so that, like lilgik, I can carry a small theme throughout the album.

I wish I could sew. I do have this little hand stitcher that I need to get my friend to show me how to use.

I'm not pulling any other embellies...I want to keep it simple so I stick with it.

Dr. Diva I was thinking the same thing about sewing, so I am going to try to atg the sides of the pocket then cover in pretty washi tape. I am hoping it will work since I really want one of those in my Thankful and Elf Daily albums.

Last night I got very overwhelmed by all the products I had pulled for this (remember I love scrapping fall its my favorite so I have tons!)so I went through and only allowed so much, it feels more manageable now! YAY!

I'm using a 6x6 WRMK alum and decided to go with EP's fall line from this year. I also grabbed 6x6 Bo Bunny dot cardstock pad as the colors match perfectly. I have some twine I plan on using, but think I want to find some embellishments to go along with it besides my cameo cuts.

I pulled out PL cards from all my boxes and found enough to do this! I'm going to use the brown album from the HSN autoship. I would really, REALLY like to use my November Scraptastic kit but it's not going to get here until after I've started!

Maybe I'll be able to use the embellishments from the kit....

I made my own book..the only down side is that it won't have page protectors. Here's a link to my blog. Free template to printout all the "I am Thankful for.." pages, cover, numbers and journaling prompts.

What great idea. Christmas time gets too hectic to work on something daily. I like the one photo, one journal card & one embellishment/PL card. I'm going to do mine in digital format and make it into a book to add to my Thanksgiving book collection. I'll see if anyone notices I "wrote" a book too, when I bring out the pile of books for Turkey Day with the family!

YAY! Almost time to start! How is everyone doing?

I decided to do leaves and small acorns but they are super simple. I cut out of cream cardstock on the cameo and had DD help me color them in with bics, nothing fancy but it will be nice to see them in there knowing that DD helped!

Caitlyn,

When I read all the extras people keep talking about, I have to remind myself to KISS! If I start trying to do too much…I will fall off the wagon-I just know it! If I want to add more embellies, I will have to do so after I get all the base pages in…even after NOV. I suppose that would be something I could do when I only have 15 minutes here or there to scrap. Also, I haven't sorted through all of my embellies, generally and I am sure I have stuff in the stash that I can use. I am not buying anything more than the little 6x6 album I found in the clearance bin for 1.99.

Once I actually move to sorting embellies by color (which I am going to once I find storage), I will be better off. But for now, I have the basic papers, journaling cards and tabs for which day it is. I have ink (StazOn) and should be good to go.

Lilgk,

It just can't be as easy as you're making it seem. I took an individual sewing class but could not go back now and repeat the process, if I tried. I think I'm with Caitlyn on how to seal those pockets…but I'm not doing pocketed pages for this book so that won't be necessary until I'm trying to put together the DD. Speaking of which, Caitlyn, when are you going to pull out the things for that project, whilst in the middle of this project?!? So much to do….so little time..

DrDiva I already have my meager Christmas supplies put together in an iris container, I don't have much at all and will be supplementing with snowflake punch outs, cuts from cameo and bling. I don't like scrapping Christmas so this year I am doing an Elf Daily (which will actually overlap a few days as our elf returns the day after Thanksgiving usually stretch out that good behavior from the kids for a day or two more LOL)

I've found so much inspiration from everyone on this thread that I've decided to jump in with both feet. Gonna go thru all my fall papers - which may take awhile cuz' I'm obsessed with fall papers for some weird reason - and see what I can come up with. Also a good excuse to pull out the Cinch which I never use as much as I should.

This is so exciting, can't wait to get going on this!!!

@Crystal - that is really cute!

So glad that there is such a great response to this! At one time or another in the month we each may need a little boost or encouragement and it seems like there will be plenty of ladies to help keep us on track!

EEEK! I am so sorry that is so huge! YIKES! It is a from my supply stash shaker card!

Scrapmariner WELCOME WELCOME! I am so excited you were inspired and jumping in! YAY!

I am thinking I will do a WEEKLY thread, and if it gets to be too much we can go to daily or every other day. We can share/vent/chat and more on there. How does that sound? I KNOW I will get frustrated/unmotivated during the month so I will need you all to keep me going! I know we can do this if we all stick together and motivate one another! ALMOST TIME! YAY!

I think I'm going to join you all too. My Grandma passed away last week, and her memorial is Nov. 2. I think it would help me to focus on blessings/gratitude this month.

I don't really want to do a mini book though - aside from DD, I don't really enjoy them.

I loved that tag page by Soaphousemama though! Thanks for posting it Aeryn! Totally lifting that idea, though I may make it a 2 page LO so I have the option to include a few pics.

We'll be out of town for the memorial for the first 5 days of November, but I'll jump in later next week. I think that for now, I'll just jot a few notes down each day, and then pick papers/etc later in the month.

Thanks again for the idea and hosting the threads!

I am adding to my 30 Days of Thankfulness Album again this year. I use an 8.5x11 post bound album, and have two years already in it, and will add this year, too. I try to keep the pages pretty flat, so not many thick embellishments. This year will probably fill this album.

This year I plan to use a large photo (I love 5x5's) or a series of smaller photos and a journaling block on each page, along with a quote or Bible verse to complement the subject for the day. I stay with a theme/layout pattern for each year, and make a title page to separate the years. This is an album that I am not able to complete each page every day, because I am usually working hard on Christmas projects also. I take the photo and journal every day, and put some of the pages together later.

I BRIBE my kids and husband - with a pre-Thanksgiving Day pumpkin pie - to journal at least two days each for the month. I use their journaling to fill in the days when I don't get mine done. It's nice to have all our thoughts in the album. This year, I want to include a thumbnail pic of the kids and DH on their pages. They always sign their journal entries.

I am using the Echo Park Reflections Fall paper kit, by Lori Whitlock. Usually I just pull from my stash, but I am running behind this year and wanted to try a themed paper set.

I can't wait to see what each of you creates! I have tried to get my friends to do this project with me, but I have never had anyone join me. It will be nice to do it with the Peas.

I scrap to remember our blessings, to tell our stories, to celebrate our life.

I'm doing this with 3 of my 4 children, 15, 13 & 9 (yikes!) We're all using 6x8 SN@P albums. DS (15) is using the 2-up 4x6 pp's with EP's Fall/Thanksgiving line and my DD's & I are using Doodlebug's Harvest line from this year. I'm doing 2-page spreads using the 2-up 4x6 and 4x6/3x4 combo pp and DD's are doing 1-page spreads using the 4x6/3x4 pp's. I'm excited to see what they come up with. They have their lists pre-made (from Cathy Z.'s website) and we hope to finish the pre-work on the albums tomorrow.

So I've got my paper all picked out and cut down to 6x6. Using an older SU! collection I had called "Autumn Traditions". Just gotta finish sewing them together at the top and bottom and put together with my cinch. Leaving one end open as a pocket for extra journaling, etc. Hope that all makes sense, lol. I plan on a photo a day.

Can't wait to get started tomorrow!

Back to my sewing...
