Friday night has been homemade pizza night at our house for about 20 years!

"The world absolutely needs Woo Girls. If there were no Woo Girls, there would be no 'Girls Gone Wild,' no bachelorette parties, no Las Vegas poolside bars. All of the things that you hold dearest would be gone. The souvenir shot-glass industry would collapse; so would the body-glitter industry -- and, the stretch Hummer rental industry. Tiny cowboy hats would be worn only by tiny cowboys. And when 'Brown- Eyed Girl' would come up on the jukebox, all you would hear ... would be silence .... and 'Brown-Eyed Girl.' But who would 'woo,' ? Who would 'woo'? Would you? Would you ... 'woo'?" B.Stinson

Nope. When we did have pizza (before dd was dx'ed with celiac disease) we'd have it maybe once a month if that. Weekends are where I cook larger meals or dh grills on the bbq.

No. Pizza (or Fish & Chips) is usually for Friday nights. I work full time so the only days I can cook certain meals that I like is on the weekend when I have more time.

I usually make my own pizza, on Friday nights. Often with wings.
Tonight though, we're ordering pizza. It's been a nearly do-nothing kind of day.

Not necessarily on Saturday, but definitely once a week. The kids love pizza! Homemade, frozen, carry-out, it doesn't really matter to them. I like it too.

We used to eat pizza 2-3 times a month, until dh found a pizza place that makes his favorite NY style pizza. Now their pizza is the only time we have pizza any more.

We've been having Pizza Fridays for nearly 25 years. Now that DS is 18 and hardly ever home on Friday, I've tried talking my DH into other takeout foods. There's a great place near us with grilled fish for takeout. I found a great Chinese takeout place with really fresh food. I love Corner Bakery. (After working all week, cooking dinner & cleaning up every night, I don't want to cook on Fridays.) DH must have pizza on Friday. Every. Single. Week. Even on vacation.

Fish and chips sounds awesome.

We tend to eat pizza on Sunday nights, because the Papa John's here gives out a 33% off coupons on Sundays when our college football team scored 3 touchdowns the night before. Haha! It's cheap and easy and we can settle in with pizza and watch a TV show or a movie.

We usually have pizza on Tuesdays or Wednesday. DH and I each get two slices of this gourmet pizza in a shop nearby. Lately we've been eating it less and less since I am dieting. But every Sunday is sushi night (almost) without exceptions. My favorite night of the week

We had a couple of slices for lunch because I had to run out to the grocery store. The pizza parlor is in the same lot. If we do have pizza, it's usually on a Friday.

I'm eating homemade pizza right now while reading this! I make pizza dough in my bread machine - usually 2 double batches so we can make 3-4 big pizzas over a couple days. My son loves to take it to school for lunch, and we'll heat it up for leftovers. Personally, I could have pizza several times a week!

We love pizza and have it often, once a week or more frequently. Saturday is our best evening for going out however because of DH's work hours.

When our grandson was staying with us he had pizza every day, sometimes more than once, and he'd usually eat the entire thing. I kept from 4 to 6 pizzas in the freezer and bought them every time I went to Walmart.

Sunday nights here. It's the only night we don't eat with the kids. DH makes pizzas for everyone; kids eat theirs while watching a DVD in the dining room, and we have ours (with fancy toppings) in the kitchen. It's nice to do before the craziness of the weekdays sets in.

Friday or Saturday. It is almost always assembled at home. We buy pre-made crust, sauce and then just assemble it. We've been on a Trader Joe's pizza dough and sauce kick. It is delicious! And that way I can control fats, etc.

Wow, I am surprised at how many families are having pizza once a week. I would have never thought about that. I always feel like if I make a meal more often than once every 2 to 3 weeks it is too frequent. I love a good pizza but would gain weight if we were having it that often. We usually get it once every 2 months or so.

Friday night became pizza night when the kids were little. After an exhausting week, pizza was an easy treat; either delivery or bread machine dough with a choice of whatever toppings were in the fridge.

Now DH & I do a Fri pizza date night. If the kids happen to be home visiting, we'll take them to one of the mom&pop joints we've discovered, or I'll make them a special deep dish or whatever mom-made favorite they've been hankering for.

Pizza...it's what for (Fri night) dinner!

No but we do on Wednesdays. My daughter has dance class until 9 on those days, and Domino's is a couple of blocks from her studio, so it's the quickest option for those late nights. We're getting sick of pizza though, so dh and oldest dd eat bbq wings, I have pasta, and the other two kids split a pizza.

Another family that has pizza every Friday night. As others have said, after a long week of working, school, and all the other stuff, it's a nice leisurely way to round out the week. It's the only meal that we have once a week--no one gets sick of pizza around here.

For me though, I'm a little tired of it and could drop it to once a month and do something else easy on the other Friday nights, but I know I would be overruled by dh and the kids.
