I've searched through Pinterest and don't see a lot of choices for savory food options. Lots of sweet treats but not a lot of much else.

My teens have their friends over for Halloween food and movies every year (less a party now and just a Halloween-themed night). I always do the pumpkin barfing out the guacamole as well as mummy-wrapped hot dogs. They are incredibly popular (I never seem to be able to make enough of either!)

What else can I do? We'll have a base staple food of either lasagna or chili, depending on how motivated I am. But for fun snacking throughout the night??

Treat-wise/dessert-wise I am covered. Would just like some other ideas for non-sweet foods.

There were several cute veggie tray ideas I saw on Pinterest. Not sure how much the teens want it Halloweeny, but I love them

The Funeral sandwiches are always a big hit.

I did see the carrot-filled jack-o-lantern veggies trays and that is something I'll probably do although it's fussy work and after the first 2 feed themselves, the effect is ruined. LOL

My teens are out of the "embarrassed to be around you Mom" stage and have requested that I do it up "all crafty" for them.

Mini pizza's (on bagels or english muffins)

two ways:

Spread the sauce, top with strips of cheese like a mummy, with olive eyes peeking out, red or green pepper strip as eyebrows or mouth. mini pizza mummies

OR

Moldy pizza, take some grated parm and tint it green with food coloring before sprinkling it on a pizza

Also, chicken "fingers" breaded strips with an almond as a nail and ketchup or tomato sauce for blood fingers

And deviled eggs with a green pimento olive slice as an eyeball. bloodshot eyes

I've made these for a teen party and they were all commented on and gobbled up.

I make these intestines for a Halloween get-together each year, and they are a big hit. Also great if you serve with some sort of chunky "bloody" tomato/roasted red pepper sauce on the side.

No, it is pretty easy! I use phylo pastry instead of puff pastry, because I like it better. The filling is very simple. The hardest part is just getting the "tubes" lifted into the pan without breaking them apart. But a few tears are easily fixed with some butter and phylo patches.
