Scrapper100-My life's journey is voyage of the stupid. I'm horrible w/instructions, but Killer Bunnies was super easy. If I can figure out then anyone can. W/subsequent decks it gets a bit more complex, but the premise is simple: Get bunnies and sabotage everyone else' bunnies. If you know that then it's all good. Have fun w/it. It's a hoot.
I'd like to help you out. Which way did you come in?

Start with just the regular version of Catan. We love it.

Marking my place.....our local news talk show does a segment each year for the best board games. I love it and they suggest really good ones (KSL Studio 5).
PEAsed to be here
|Posted: 11/17/2013 3:01:25 PM|Bubble Talk is pretty fun. It's based on pictures like the silly "add a caption" photos that come across Facebook now and then. There is a big stack of captions, everybody is dealt x number of those, and everybody chooses one to go with the picture. IIRC whoever it IT chooses the best caption and that person gets a point.
The photo will explain it better than I can:

My family loves Michigan Rummy! If you buy it make sure you have a deck of cards to play. You can play with the chips included but we just play with pennies. We also keep the big pots (that are hard to win) in the game for the next time. We love it and play it for hours on holidays/celebrations. We've had for almost 20 years! Cheap on Amazon too!

We recently got Doom (card game) and had fun with it. Probably not for the overly sensve, though.
If you have younger kids, Too Many Monkeys is a fun one, as well as Big Fish.

Other favorites are Catch Phrase, Apples To Apples, Blokus, and Moods.
|Posted: 11/17/2013 9:39:13 PM|My hands down fav. Is Carcassonne! Love it so much! Ticket to Ride gets played quite a bit here. We also went through a Munchkin phase.

My brother has a fun game called Smart Ass. It's a trivia game that goes quickly and is fun for everyone.
People take turns reading hints off the back of the card, everyone in the game can guess what the thing is, but once you have guessed, you are out of that round, and the reader keeps reading hints until someone gets it.
We love Blokus, Catan (!), Apples to Apples, Scattergories, Bananagrams, Phase 10 dice, and another one I recommend, that I haven't seen here is Quiddler, an easy word forming game that is good for most ages, and everyone I have shared it with loved it.

In our family the men like Killer Bunnies but the girls do not so we play Word on the Street when they bring out that game.
