I finished the other face of my tag & it looks pretty good. I'm letting it 'age' just a bit since I suspect it could stand a bit more glitter & perhaps a touch of bling.

I'll get it sent by end of Nov for sure.

I am so surprised, I received the most awesome Dec tag from Marshia this weekend! Marshia, you've set the bar high this month, and I'm so happy to be the recipient of this tag! Thank you so much for the very lovely Santa images, I just love them and can't wait to color!

My Dec tag is taking an unexpected turn. I just got RAK'd a little package from a friend that had trees in it of all things! I had a different idea entirely...what to do? Uh oh, let the over thinking begin!

AJ - I'm thrilled you like the tag. It was really fun and easy to make. I was surprised when the idea for the tag came so quickly, that is certainly not always the case! LOL

December Tag swap

When I uploaded this tag I notice that the "grass" I inked in looks very prominent in the photo. IRL it's pretty subtle, must be the flash reflecting the silver.

BTW I may still be wearing some glitter! LOL

Still 'wearing' glitter, Marshia? Bet it looks good on you, ma'am!

Daniel - your borrowed glitter story was too funny.

My hubby is very anti glitter because his dorm mates in college decided as a practical joke to dump glitter in his underwear drawer.

I've got a bunch of ideas but I haven't started my tag yet. But I'm excited because the RAK I got from prospurring/ Anne for the RAK chain included some unfinished tags.

I'm looking forward to using glitter. I don't use it that often because most of my cardmaking is for OWH - no glitter allowed. However, despite not using it often, there always seems to be glitter floating around my house. The other day, my mom asked me what I had been working on because I had some glitter on me and I hadn't crafted in a couple of days.

Sarah. So you don't use loose glitter much, but still have it floating thru your domicile? Sounds like you might have an infestation of pixies or fairies. Pixie/Fairy Dust looks like regular glitter, but is a whole different product. Best way to determine what yours is? Think beautiful thoughts & try to fly. WARNING! Do not stand on the roof to test your glitter!

Daniel, I'm so glad you added the warning about rooftops when you instructed Sarah to try and fly. I had a flash of panic there for a second!

Marshia, you are right, the grass showed up a lot darker in pic#2, which is not what it looks like in person. Pic#3 is more accurate. I left glowing praise for you in the gallery, but just want to say thank you again for such a lovely tag! It's a good month when inspiration comes easy!

Just wanted to add a glitter story to the fun ones I just read here...

My dd has a dance concert coming up and I was practicing doing her hair this morning. They have to have glitter spray in their hair, and when I went to put it in her hair the nozzle on the can got stuck! In the "on" position!!! So she ended up with a ton in her hair, and the living room floor got a good coating, too! (thank goodness we don't have carpet).

I love that people are getting into the glitter. How fun. The stories are great too.

Christin, I wonder if it will ever come out of the carpet. Glitter is big for little girls hair and for prom here too.

LOL, Christin! DD will definitely shine while dancing! TFS!

Speaking of 'loose' glitter. Have you used it on one face of double-face tape? It can make fabulous looks. I have several large jars of glitter & might use this technique on a project-in-progress.

Oh happy day! I got all my work done by 12:30, made tea and got creative. I made a group of tags I'm making on another swap and once it was finished, the idea for my dec tag just hit me! I had to TEAR UP the craft closet to find THE stamp. But, I found it and my dec tag is more than half way now. Nothing as I'd originally intended, I am so happy with it so far though! It's going postal tomorrow, lots of glue and glitter heading Marshia's way, lol!

I have a meeting after school, gotta hit the shower and hope I can get most of the sparkle off.

I definately won't test my glitter from the roof. But I suspect it is just regular glitter. I made a witch for my office out of stacked plastic pumkins and used very glittery ribbon on her. As a result, I got glitter every where. Since I don't clean my tv/ craft room often enough, I think it is lingering from that project.

Joan-Ann - I'm sure I'll love it and I will keep an eye out for it. I plan on getting glittery this weekend.

LOL, Sarah! I just had a glitter spill of my own.

I'm working on my angel for the Art Doll swap & figured out how I wanted to tackle one of its components using (loose) glitter. I was being so careful, but a moment's distraction resulted in a tsunami of glitter on my workspace. Managed to salvage most of the spill, but I know both me & my pieces will have a bit of sparkle for months to come.

Sarah, I mailed it yesterday. It will probably take a week to get there because I am from Canada. Let me know when you receive it.

This is a fun swap. Will it be continued in the new year?

I'm so glad you are having fun. I may start mine today if I get my work done in time.

Joe. As Heidi says, LeighAnn (Pug) will be doing a monthly tag swap in 2014. And she says she has some new ideas for next year. Glad to hear you'll be joining in, ma'am!

Have to address my envelope for Sarah (SarBear) & it goes postal tomorrow.

My tag is done! Just need to get it in the mail Monday.

Daniel, to answer your question, the next tag swap that i will be posting sign ups for soon will be just a bonus tag swap to end a great year of tag swaps! I already have a theme picked and I think it will be fun and fairly easy to do. I will leave ya guessing on the theme.

Sarah. I'm ROTFLMAO over your 'handwriting' compliment! I believe you may be the first StamPeas who ever paid me that compliment. My 'cursive' is the worst. Even doctors can't read it. But I can print if I take my time.

Hope you like the tag. I realized I had not added the fibre/ribbon accent after I mailed it. I was in a hurry to get it posted to you. Sorry! Glad you like the 'leftovers'. Thot they might make a good 'scrapling' or whatever.

Jan. Fabulous tag!

Sarah sent me great scans/photos of both faces of the tag I made for her.

I uploaded it to the gallery & swap blog, but waited 'til I new it posted before adding construction details--just in case I had uploading probs & so I could use the pics to remind me how I constructed it.

Since Sarah lives in Australia, I went '2 seasons'. Late Fall for the US & late Spring for Down Under. LOL. Should have drawn a few leaves on the Spring trees, but thot the birds worked. 'Sok. Since the snowman survived I figure it's been a coolish Spring...
