This - how do you think it was intended to use? I mean obviously I know that it is for December and Christmas etc etc. I bought it intending to use the numbers somewhere on each of my DD pages... But when i got it the numbers and December were all together on the same block. I know that some stamps come like that and have to be cut up - but the circles look WAY TOO CLOSE to end up being cut apart. I feel super disappointed because its a large stamp - and I wouldn't be able to stamp this for EVERY date.. What was everybody else's intentions for this stamp? And, are all her other stamps on the same block like this too? I don't necessarily have a problem cutting them up, but I'd rather not have to cut if I didn't have to.

Could you maybe use a small punch? I could also see it being used as a background stamp.

I am glad I didn't get it since it is all one stamp. I really thought it would be individual stamps.

Oh wow, I thought they were individual stamps. I was looking at them and passed. I would be terribly disappointed to receive them knowing this now. Can you use a box cutter or exacto knife to cut them apart? Or can you return it? It's mislabled as a set when it's not a set at all. Did you open a ticket? Maybe it's faulty?

How large is the stamp?

Could you stamp it in black ink and then use a colored pencil or chalk to color in the date that you are documenting?

You could use masking tape to cover the dates you don't want to stamp, ink the stamp so that just one date is inked, then carefully remove the masking tape and stamp the date on your paper.

ETA: You could stamp it multiple times and use a punch (or maybe even a die) to cut out the date you want to use. It's easier to cut paper than stamps.

I would just ink the area around the number I wanted and after stamping I'd punch or cut it out. Or ink just the one number with a felt tip marker.

Im definitely going to try to stamp it then cut it out - but i still think that the numbers are super close together, and its going to be an intricate cut. I think maybe the best approach would be to mask off the other numbers.

I got this set and ended up cutting it apart to use it. It was a slow process and I had to be very careful and bend it back to cut it between the edges. Also, I have scissors that I feel confident using for large sheets of unmounted rubber. Glad I separated them. I also thought there was no way I wanted to cut them apart as a stamped sheet of paper. I'd rather put in the time once....then just stamp away. Depends if you are comfortable trying this. I was.

I was really disappointed when I got mine, too. I have some Kai scissors so I guess I'll be cutting mine apart as well.

ETA: To answer the OP's question, I guess it could be used to stamp a postcard size calendar for December to use on various projects. Other than than, I have no idea, unfortunately.

Yeah, I think it's supposed to he used as a calendar background stamp and then you're supposed to highlight each individual day some kind of way ( copics or something)

It should really say one piece. It says stamp set so I would expect multiple stamps.

I have been looking at it but the mustache one is what made me hesitate. I am soooo over the mustache trend, actually never liked it. I guess I could make it while like Santa's.

Looking at the design, I too thought they were individual circle stamps and really wanted them! (but I'm frozen)
I hope you can stamp and punch the individual circles, because they are so awesome!
What size are they?

I like the stamped numbers, very nice.
But I too wouldn't be happy that is all one stamp, especially that the numbers are so close, like you said.

I would stamp it multiple times in different colours and then using a circle punch, punch out every other number from your stamped papers.
That way you don't have to worry about punching part of the number beside each one, and you can have more then one colour (if thats what you want).

I thought they were singles, too.

What if you used a dauber to add the ink?

That's really weird.

What a bummer, I thought they were individual numbers, too. I would try Nicole's idea of using a dauber to see if you can get just one circle.

the overall size of the entire block is approx 4x6. I do not make cards. and I do not think it was worth the price as a background stamp a few times, because realistically - how often will I really use it?

Major disappointment here, too. I thought it was a set of 31 individual stamps. The images are so close together they actually touch in some areas. As a stamper, I have cut many a set apart to suit my needs. Because of the layout, this one scares me. I would not have bought it if I knew it was a single stamp and not a "set".

I think that is pretty pricey for what is essentially a background stamp!

You should contact Two Peas CS. It's not their fault that the packaging of the product is misleading, but they could make it clear in the description that it is a single stamp. For that matter, I would contact Webster's Pages too. The digi image should not say "stamp set" when it is in fact a single stamp. If you look closer it says "red rubber stampS" on the top too. So, in two places on the package it indicates that you are getting multiple stamps.

I was considering this "set" as well. Glad I didn't order it, because I was thinking of using the same as individual numbers for DD.

I would definatly contact CS and see what they say.

WHEW! So glad I didn't purchase these but sorry that you did. First of all, I think it's poor marketing and/or advertising that this is not marked as BACKGROUND stamp to let the consumer know it's ONE stamp. I think it is very deceiving because MOST consumers (like myself) are going to assume the stamps are individual numbers. The packaging doesn't say ANYTHING like 1 stamp enclosed?? If it doesn't I would DEFINITELY be returning!!

Just wanted to share some of the ways the Webster's Pages Design Team is using this stamp set! So cute on cards and would be great for mini albums and Project Life! We'll have tons of Christmas inspiration on our blog in November, so be sure to stop by and see all the creative ways our DT is using it!!

I just sent an email to Webster's Pages. I'll let you know what they say.

ETA: The cards are lovely but it was not my intention to make cards or use it as a background stamp. From the description here and on the packaging, I thought I was buying "a set" of individual number stamps which would have unlimited uses, IMO.

Second, I find it really deceptive that the package says "stamp set".

I'm very disappointed in Webster's.

I also think it's very bad form on the part of Webster's Pages, and pretty misleading to call it a stamp 'set' and then have it be one background stamp. I would also feel deceived. I would never have use for only ONE stamp like that, either. The individual numbers, yes- one background stamp- no.

This is super disappointing! I purchased this stamp *set* specifically because the description says "SET" which indicates multiple stamps - which is why I loved it - the numbers could be used INDIVIDUALLY for so many things! Nowhere is it mentioned that this is a background stamp. For $16.50 this is ABSOLUTELY ludicrous. ONE 4x6 background stamp for $16.50 - Webster's has lost their mind!

I'll be contacting 2Peas to return this - for sure!

Hi All ~

As I stated above, the cards are just the beginning of what our Design Team has created. We will be using this stamp and others, as well, in all kinds of ways on our blog in November and I'll be sure to request that our DT share their techniques with you!

As far as the labeling goes, it definitely wasn't meant to be deceptive at all. We value you all so much and want to make sure that you know that we have no interest in misleading anyone! There would be absolutely no benefit in that for us at all, so we do apologize. We'll definitely take all the feedback into consideration, and in the future be sure to be more cautious when using the term "stamp set."

There have been some great ideas in this thread on how to use the stamps! It sounds like cutting them might not be the best option, but using paint daubers or stamping the whole set in a few different colors and using a punch would be very cute!

Has anyone tried inking the number you want to stamp, and then, intentionally inking parts of the surrounding numbers and using colors to make the number your focusing on vivid and bright and the rest faded for a more vintage look? Would love to try this, but I don't have the stamp right now!! Anyone have any other ideas?

I'll be sure to drop a note over here when we post new DT inspiration on our blog using the stamps! Thanks everyone!

In my email I told them I was disappointed that the stamp was called "a set" but was a background stamp instead. I also stated that I thought it was a set of clear stamps but, as stated in the email I received, it does state that it is rubber. I guess I should look closer from now on.

I also stated that I wanted to return it for a refund. Here's the response I received:

Thank you for your email and for letting us know your concern! If you look at the image on our website, you will see that the packaging does state that the stamp set is a red rubber stamp and not clear. I've attached pictures of a card by Tanya Batrak here (you probably saw that I posted it on Two Peas already), but wanted to point out how Tanya stamped and added the 25 as a way to emphasize the day. Also, there will be plenty more inspiration on our blog next month, and I'm certain our DT will have some great suggestions! I'll be sure to ask them to share any tips and techniques they used while stamping! I've already emailed a few of them that I know have it to see how they are enjoying using them¦I can forward you their ideas, too, if you'd like! We really appreciate your feedback and value you so much as a customer! It is clear that the word "set" has caused some confusion so we'll be very cautious about that in the future! Thanks again, Diana!

It is definitely not the response I was looking for. I will not ask Two Peas for a refund, as I don't think it is their fault.

There's a whole lot wrong with the listing...

The packaging does say Red Rubber StampS in tiny letters; right under December Days Stamp SET. The image is clear (like so many stamps are these days) and neither the packaging nor item description at 2peas indicates the stamp size. And to me, the price does not suggest that it's one stamp.

With all that's not clear in the listing, I would return it if I still had the original packaging since it's not what was expected.

The package also says "red rubber stampS proudly manufactured by Unity Stamps. And while it isn't 2peas fault that the packaging is misleading, they are who you purchased it from -2peas bought it wholesale from Webster's. They are the ones that would need to give you a refund Not Webster's.

2peas only fault in this is not providing a comprehensive description of the item. I stopped purchasing things that don't at least list the size and quantity after I was disappointed with a paper pack that I thought misleadingly showed twice as many pieces as arrived.

I agree!

There are two issues with the packaging -

Use of the word stampS (plural). The word "stamps" literally means "more than one stamp". How could Webster's not know that was misleading?

Use of the word SET. A set is a collection or group of things. Again, plural, more than one.

Stop throwing the DT ideas at us. It makes it sound like you are deflecting the real issue instead of listening and customers don't like that.

Just received my order and am very disappointed in this stamp! Very misleading packaging. I'm trying to decide if I should return it or try to make it work for my DD by coloring the individual circle? I'm not interested in cards and bought it specifically for DD.

Hi Ladies,
It's Brandin here at Webster's. I am so sorry about the mislabel on this stamp. I can understand & agree where you all are coming from. It was designed as a background stamp however labeled as a stamp set. That was incorrect & I agree with you all. If you would like to return the stamp or replace it with another Webster's Pages product, we would be happy to help you out.
