I look at the Create a Critter cartridge (1 and 2) and I just think it is so, so cute. I'm in love with the images. However, I just don't know when I would use it. There was a time I would love it for scrapbook layouts, but my kids are older (high schoolers) and my style has changed.

I'd love a reason to buy it, so please convince me. Oh, and if you have a preference for the original or the second one, let me know that, too.

I have the original one and I love it. I switched to the silhouette and I still use this cartridge. I actually bought the create a friend last night to use in cricut craftroom cause its so cute. And it is very easy to layer

What projects do you use it on?

I just recently went from the cricut to the silhouette and this is the one cartridge I miss the most! Of course I have younger kids but it's awesome for cards and there's some really great titles and such on it too. I think you'll love it too.

I love the first one also, it could be a fave...but I do have a 4year graddaughter.

I have used the images on cards (esp for but not limted to kids), a couple of years ago I did 'signage' for the church's Easter event...then pulled them off to use on more cards.

One of my fav carts

I have made mini albums and used an animal for each page if that makes sense. The books have turned out so cute. Especially for little kids to see all the different animals

Love it I wasn't aware there was a 2 out. I'm so out of the loop because I have so many carts and quit buying any couple of years ago. I go in spurts when it comes to scrapping, I'm ready to start again but since I'm frozen I can't buy any new carts (nor do I want to) So I'll enjoy what i have

I have both 1 and 2 and use them both. The second one had lots of images for holidays. I have used it for Christmas cards, scrapbook pages, and Project Life pages. The first Create a Critter has some great images. I have used it for lots of cards, scrapbook pages, and Project Life title cards. The most recent one was a skunk for a page of doctor's visits and illnesses, and I used the skunk for the title card "Feeling Stinky". Also, there is a new cartridge called create a friend that has the same easy type of layering. It has images of children instead of animals. I use that one often. My daughter is in high school but I still find lots of use for this cartridge as well as the other create a critter ones.

I have that one and have used it quite a bit. I'm no help, though, because I've used it for elementary school and PTA things.

I have used the first Create a Critter a lot. Although my 3 dd's are college age and older, I have done layouts from their younger years using the cart. My oldest dd made a gift album for a friend with reprints of photos from their childhood and used it for Halloween pics, zoo trips, and Easter.

I have also used some of the animals for team mascots on pages about football games etc. There are tons of cute card ideas on the Cricut message board, which is organized by cartridge. Not sure I would get #2, but the first one has a lot on it.

I have both Cricut and Silhouette. I will not do away with either. The Create a Critter cartridge is by far one of my favorites! I use it all the time. I have grown kids (both approaching 30) but I find all kind of projects to use it for. I work in assisted living and sometimes I create boxes and then cut the critters out and pop them on front of the box. I have also made birthday and valentine cards with them. Just love it!!!

Live life to the utmost fullest each and everyday!

I have the first one, which I love. To be honest, unless you are a card maker then you will not use it very often at all. I have 3 teenagers and can't remember when the last time I used it other than for a card. Of course, if you are into making gift albums than yes, buy it. I think you can buy individual images through CCR, if that helps.

I have the original one and I use it. (Mostly for cards and baby/kid stuff but that's just me). It also has some great accessory images. I would suggest downloading the handbooks from the website and viewing all the images that you get on both. I don't have the second one (and probably wont get it) so I can't help with that one.

Thanks, everyone! I do make cards, and that's probably what I would mainly use it for. I also sometimes teach preschool at church and think it would work well for some things there. Mainly, I just want an excuse to buy it.

I love it!!! I use it mostly for cards for both adults and kids. They are popular with everyone at my work, I make cards to sell to raise money for Organ Donation Awareness and those cards always sell first

I have both CAC cartridges and use them all the time - not in my scrapbooks really but for card making - I use the first cartridge more than the 2nd one

No children here and I still LOVE this cartridge!! I think I prefer the original CAC to the CAC2, but they are both fun. My style does tend to be cutesy though. I teach Sunday School and use this cartridge sometimes for projects with (and for) the kiddies.
