How much is your average bill?

Im curious, b/c I feel like I spend a ton of $$ every week on groceries.

Once a week
Mostly Kroger with an occasional Trader Joes and Sam's Club thrown in.
$250/wk. I don't use coupons, buy few convenience foods and we eat pretty darn healthy. My total includes cleaning supplies, etc.

How many people do you shop for? Just myself and two dogs, three cats.

How often do you shop? Once a week sometimes twice if I'm getting a lot of fresh vegetables. I try to buy in small quantities so that food doesn't go bad on me.

Where do you shop? Usually Wegmans

How much is your average bill? $50 to $80 a week

Three people: DH, me and DS (who is 5)
I do most of my shopping on Saturdays, but that includes multiple stops.
In season (May-November), more than half of my shopping is at our local farmer's market. Most of the rest is at Whole Foods and New Seasons, and a bit at Fred Meyer.
On average, I spend about $150/week. That does include poultry and seafood, but no pork, beef or lamb, which we buy in bulk once a year. Also does not include any kind of non-food items.

2 adults, 1 teen boy
2 to 4 times a week
A Giant store & WalMart & a local butcher shop

I don't know for sure what we spend a month. Probably between $500 & $700.

We buy a lot of organic foods and fresh fruits and vegetables. When we shop the market with the good selection of specialty items, the bill is easily $75 for 2 bags of items.

I try to plan, hit sales and stock up when frequently used items go on sale. But, some of the prices have just gone crazy. Spent $5 on a container of strawberries on the last trip.

2 Adults, 1 12 yo
Sunday morning
Average $110-140

Grocery Store and farm stand

I don't coupon, but I do try to shop to the sale. I read the flyers and see what is on sale where. If I have the time I will hit both stores (within 5 min. of my house) if not I go to the one with the better savings that week.

I just don't see why people think I'm too patronizing (that means I treat them as if they were stupid.)

Once a week, Sunday morning, HEB. 2 adults, 2 kids age 10 and 12. About $200/wk including paper products and cleaning supplies. Not many convenience foods other than breakfast cereal and individual Greek yogurts. Embarrassingly, 10% of our grocery budget each week is spent on yogurt.

I shop for 2 adults and 2 teenagers.
Ideally, I go shopping once a week.
I typically go to Kroger, but I'm thinking about changing that.
I probably average $125/week. Or at least that's what I'm shooting for.

I feel sooooo much better about my food bill after reading these posts.

I am shopping for 3 most of the year (have a kid at college). I go EARLY Monday morning most of the time. Generally to Wegman's and Stop and Shop…sometimes Whole Food or Shoprite.

I have been spending between $110 and $150 a week depending on the menu that week. I thought it was getting out of control, but now feel like it is similar to others. I just think that food costs have gone through the roof in the last 3 or so years.

WIsh I had my grandma's green thumbs, she lived off her garden most of the year.

How many people do you shop for? 4

How often do you shop? Every Friday

Where do you shop? Walmart and Costco

How much is your average bill? $100 weekly at Walmart, $250 monthly at Costco, including paper, cleaning, shampoo, etc.

I meal plan and buy meat in bulk. It makes a huge difference in my grocery bill. I used to spend almost $1000/month.

Well, Ill add mine...

I shop for 5 (2 adults and 3 growing kiddos)
I shop once a week
I mainly shop at Wegmans (maybe Ill pick a few paper products up at Target)
I spend between $160-190 a week.

I just feel like that is really A LOT! I do use coupons and buy on sale as I can, but even the coupons lately stink! Im not sure if its that Wegmans is so darn expensive, or maybe its just food in general is pricey.

I shop for two adults, 2 teens. One of who is a football player--a lineman. So he eats a ton and a lot of it is lean protein. Also, I usually buy at least one meals worth of food for the food pantry.

I usually spend about $150 a week, which includes health and beauty and cleaning supplies. I do all of our main shopping at a military commissary, which is significantly cheaper than most grocery stores. I do use coupons--probably about $20-$30 a week. (The commissary has their own coupons, often on meat, produce, milk, cheese, etc.)

I often make a produce run mid week, but that total is in the $150 estimate. We don't eat out often--maybe once or twice a month. I cook ahead of time and freeze meals, which is very convenient for our busy schedule--a kid always needs to be somewhere or picked up from somewhere. When it's really crazy, I buy Stouffer's lasagne or pre made chicken Kiev or an easy meal. Or we will just have hot sandwiches.

I'm single so I just shop for me. I pretty much buy what I want without worrying about what is on sale or coupons.

I shop at Winco every 4-6 weeks and usually spend around $125 there. I will also go to Walmart or Target every two weeks to pick up a few things. Spending about $30 each time on food.

I typically run to the small, local grocer across the street once a week for milk and a few other things. Spending about $10-$20 each time.

2 adults, 2 toddlers

I usually spend around $90 at our fruit market (much fresher fruits, vegetables, meats, etc.) weekly and then anywhere between $100-$250/2 weeks at the grocery store, depending on what we need. That includes groceries, cleaning supplies, health and beauty items, dog food/treats.

I sometimes make a run to Costco for toilet paper, paper towel and some odds and ends. Usually can keep it between $75-$150. Sometimes monthly, sometimes every other month.

We also spend a ridiculous amount of money on Zone Perfect protein bars every month but we love them.

ETA: my grocery bill sometimes includes diapers too. I usually buy from Amazon but sometimes we run out before the next shipment.

I shop for 3 people. Myself, DS 20 & DS 14. I spend $100/wk which includes groceries and toiletries. I do most of my shopping at Kroger, some at CVS and Walmart.

I belong to a couple of FB coupon groups where some of the other members are very serious about couponing. They've helped me save quite a bit of money.
