All I have to do is finish my dads gift and wrap it. He's my last project.

My husband left for his mother's house this morning so I guess I'll get some good deep cleaning done too.

3. Take DS (15) to Target so he can buy a gifts for DH snd DD; I also need to get a card for DH
4. Go to grocery store for a couple of last-minute Xmas eve dinner ingredients
5. Bake neighbor gifts (red velvet cake in a Christmas tin) and make frosting

We've already done this, but we have a semi-tradition of driving around on Christmas Day Evening. It's a nice way to end the day and kinda close out Christmas. If you have a minute, look for Christmas Light Scavenger Hunts on pinterest. We did one and had a lot of fun with it!

I was suppose to be leisurely getting groceries, picking up the house, pre-day baking (we're having our big dinner on Christmas Eve this year), etc.

Instead, I'm working. A project that needs done today didn't get done on Friday, or yesterday, so here I am today

After work:

1. Pick up Christmas roast
2. Grocery shop (not a huge list, just about a dozen things)
3. Make dinner (easy since I took sauce out of the freezer)
4. Finish wrapping. Its 85% done, mostly just stocking stuffer things and the stuff that's arriving today.

Started the day taking my van in for routine service - $141 later it's done. Then ran to the grocery store for a few more items for tomorrow night. Also grabbed bagels and muffins and brought those home for the kids for breakfast (yea, sleeping in since school is out). Changed a light bulb in one of the TALL CEILING can lights in our family room. Threw in a load of laundry and got out the ingredients for one more batch of the most popular cookie I make at Christmas - we are already running short.

Checking out Two Peas and then downstairs to bake, throw in more laundry, clean the whole downstairs and set the table for tomorrow night. Then I will prep all the pots, pans, utensils, dishes etc. for cooking tomorrow night. We have a severe nut allergy coming, so I scrub everything down with Mr. Clean Magic Erasers…it takes a while.

Want to scrap a little today too!

Never mind, I forgot what I was going to say.

I only have one thing and it's hanging out with my CASA kiddo. This is her first Christmas in foster care and she is very sad right now. Foster parents really are wonderful but it's not home so it's been tough on her (she is 9).

So today...we are hanging out. I told her to make a list of things that she wants to do today and we are doing the list. I pick her up in 30 min and I still don't know what's on the list. All I told her is it has to be in our town where we live and can't cost more than $15. Her foster mom sent me a text this morning and said I will enjoy the list - lol. Not sure what that means.

I have a few last minute things I could be doing but this...way more important!

Pick up the beef roast I ordered, and venture into a Lowe's. One of DH's power tool battery needs to be replaced, not holding a charge.

Stop by the Vet's office with a treat tray.

Bake more cookies and hope my sinuses don't send me to bed like yesterday.

Wrap my last few gifts and make doggie biscuits for my family's dogs as a gift from my dog. I found an organic dog treat recipe book that is awesome. I made the dough last night to test them on my pup. He scarfed them down.

It is a dough made from rice flour, oat flour (took rice and oatmeal and made them into flour in my Vitamix dry container) rosemary, chicken broth, tiny bit of garlic, and raw chicken. Blend it into a dough in my Cuisinart and roll and cut with a bone shaped cookie cutter. Actually very easy to do.

Then I pack up to head to my sisters house.

My neighbors wanted family portraits. Because they live so close (1 mile) I agreed to do it so close to christmas. I've been sick for a while now and still feel like dog shit but I'll go. 17 people and to get to her house, I'll need to be in 4wheel drive. LOL

I also will be cleaning when I get home and wrap 2-3 last gifts.

Then edit all the rest of the evening

That's pretty much it!

I went in to work from 9:30 to 2:00 to help out but now I'm off until January 6th! Yay.

I'm making a sweet potato pie and taking my mom and a friend out for girls' night out. My husband, one of my sons, and my father-in-law are doing a boys' night out tonight.

That's about it. We are just enjoying our holidays!

Bake some cookies and that is it!

I've already cleaned. We are not having anyone over, but I want a clean house so that gifts can find a home tomorrow and Wed.

I should also make dinner for my family, but I don't feel like it. Part of me just really wants to say, "I don't feel like it," but then eating out costs a small fortune, so cooking dinner it is!
