I tried to do a forum search on the words "Fiskars Fuse" but found no posts. Has anyone got one? I'd like some info, please.... thanks.

I hope you get a review. I've wondered if the embossing plates work in big kick or cuttlebug.

There was a thread last year about using the Fuse dies in other machines - I bookmarked it in case the dies ever went on sale

LOVE LOVE LOVE mine. It is like having a Big Shot pro for a third of the price. What do you want to know?

Thanks, Marycain. I looked at the link but it seems to be mostly about using Fuse dies in the Big Shot. I'm going the other way: I've ordered Fiskars Fuse Starter Set but haven't received it yet. Now, however, I'm already having second thoughts. I have a Big Shot, which I love, with lots of Sizzix, Tim Holtz, Spellbinders, Memory Box and other dies, and a Gran Calibur, which I do NOT love. I have only bought one large Spellbinder set for the GC but basically, I thought if I have the Fuse I can get rid of the GC. I think I'll be able to use all my dies in the Fuse, whereas I can only use the thin dies in the GC. I bought the Fuse because it appears in the video to do the cutting, embossing, and printing in one go, without having to remove the whole sandwich and fiddle around with the various plates.

My question is mostly what extras will I need to buy to be able to use the dies (see above) that I already have? Aside from cardmaking and scrapbooking, I want to cut some fabric for quilting, patchwork, and applique.

Thanks for any help, tips, etc.!

luv my son

My scrappy friend won Fiskars Fuse at 2012s CKU in Stamford. It's still in the box and she's planning to sell it. She asked if I wanted, but I know I won't use it. I let her know to check out some of the Youtube Videos and maybe it will change her mind.

There's an adapter kit - it's pricy, but you could probably get it when J's online has all the die-cutting stuff on sale. They put the machines and accessories on sale, too, not just the dies.

Adapter Kit

Edited to add: Looks like the adapter kit is out of stock at J's online.

Do you know if the Big Shot Pro dies will work in it? I've been wanting the Pro but the cost has held me back. Also, do the Fuse dies do well with chipboard and matboard?

I have a Fuse and I really like it. When I use Spellbinder dies I love being able to cut and emboss in one pass. Get the adapter kit if you can. I use those or the long Cuttlebug plates in mine.
