I've been trying to make Project life work for me instead of me working for it. I've fell in love with adding 8x11 or 12x12 page protectors and doing a "normal" scrapbook layout and adding it in my PL album. Does anyone else add traditional 12x12 layouts I with your PL spreads? What do you think is the most effective way to scrapbook an do project life in one album?

I've added my layouts right into the pl album. I love the mix.

I enjoy mixing in full layouts with my PL spreads. I think it makes it a bit more eclectic and the albums feel more personal to me.

I don't have separate divided PP layouts from my traditional 12 x 12 layouts. They are all housed in the same albums. I am not a PL'r, but I do incorporate divided PP when I have more photos that I want to include with the story I am documenting on my traditional 12 x 12 LO. I also incorporate 8-1/2 x 11 as well all in the same album.

|Posted: 12/24/2013 1:17:46 PM|I am behind, I.E. I am getting ready to print june and july photos. However, Today I was experimenting with my Disney album, I have found that I want to do a 12 x12 on one side and a divided protector on the other. So my album is half away with divided protectors and my new way . Next year I will do it with a 12x12 on one side and divided on the other .
Also works for weeks i just have a handful of photos.

I love doing traditional 12x12 pages. But I have been using PL pocket pages and products to add more photos for some events into my albums. I'm considering doing some PL spreads in 2104 and adding them in the mix with my traditional pages. I know myself...i would find it too stressful and not fun to try and stay caught up with a weekly PL spread. In the past I finished an album where I did a 2 page spread each month following a format I set up for myself. It's one of my favorite albums.

I never thought about adding in traditional 12x12 layouts to my PL album. That's an awesome idea!

I did separate PL and "traditional" 12x12 albums for 2012, and 2013, and I don't love the separation. I did PL weekly for both of these years, so will leave them as is.
But for 2014, I'm going to treat it as my only yearly album. It will probably mostly be traditional LOs, with a monthly PL spread or 2 to fill in the smaller stories and everyday things, plus inserts as needed for DS's artwork/school stuff and other memorabilia.
Do whatever sounds best for you, and don't be afraid to change if you want!

I am doing a mix too. I just started PL. I realized quickly I could get burned out on it if I didn't mix it up with my scrapbooking style.
