the winner for this round is BevvieB

Welcome to the 2014 STASHBUSTERS CHALLENGE thread.
Everyone is welcome to play. Pick a prompt and jump right in!

Prompts are open for two weeks.

The more you play, the more chances you have to win a small scrapping goody from me (and some others who are donating prizes!!) and the more pages you will get done!

Please link up your creation in this thread for a chance to win and I will also have a challenge box you can check during the upload process.
Look for **Stash Busters Challenge**

You can submit more than one page/project for each challenge so feel free to make use of your inspiration.

**You can combine all these prompts. Each prompt you use is good for one chance to win...so use 3 prompts on one layout = 3 chances to win!***

We all like to get comments on our pages so if you are playing along please try to find the time to return the favor!

Great prompts! I won't be able to play along this time. My husband isn't going to be discharged until the 24th (or after), so we're stuck in the hospital for at least another 3 weeks. His chemo treatments are going well.

I'll definitely use these challenges for inspiration when we get back home.

Here are answers to questions from the Comments.

Snappy Scrappy For Snuggle Close I cut out a curved arrow. The letters were the first ones that I cut out with the Cameo. Didn't really know what they would look like, but I like them.
For Magical Moments I cut out the banner from a full sheet.

Nylene, I used a Dear Lizzie 5th and Frolic 6 x 6 pad for the little bits and pieces. Picked it up at TJ Maxx for $2! I made myself use the floral print because ordinarily I wouldn't think of doing it.

Stampartiste The background for Feeding Frenzy is from Crate Paper's Party Time. I thought it had a rustic feel to it.

Camanddanismom I wish I could take credit for the doodles but it's a 12 x 12 sheet from K and Company. The title Bliss, Story, Happy were some of the words on the sheet and I thought they worked.

Thank you, Marianne, for yet another set of great challenges! Your prompts are the nudge I need to keep plugging on my 2014 goals. Thank you!

I had just finished the main page of my Cadillac Ranch layout and was working on the supporting pages when I read your prompts. I was so excited as my page contained every element listed in your Prompt #4 (use this recipe). (My layout was inspired by Shimelle's Return to the Collection class that I am currently taking.)

I had so much fun digging up old supplies to give this layout the mood I wanted to create. I never thought I would use Tim Holtz' Grungeboard -- which I still have a ton of -- but it was perfect for this layout as I was able to alter the letters to simulate the colors in the photos. That's why I'm a hoarder. Eventually, I will find a need for something I forgot I had.

Hi everyone!

I have been so inspired by these challenges (Thank you Marianne!) that I am back to play again. Like Stapartiste I am taking Return to the Collection, and have been so inspired!

These layouts are both for prompt #1 of stashbusters:

Only the Brave (1st prompt for Shimelle's class)

The Future (3rd prompt for Shimelle's class)

Off to check out what you ladies have been creating! Love to be inspired by my fellow peas!

For Prompt 1 (heart/love):

And for Prompt #3 (the layout took about 45 minutes, give or take a minute to pull out and re-thread the sewing machine):

Got a page done for this challenge.
Using PROMPT #1: Use at least 1 heart; Prompt #3 Fast and Simple!; Prompt #4: Use this recipe to make a page: 3 different patterned papers, a butterfly, an arrow or a clock, use something that you've never opened or have had in your stash too long, use ink, mist or paint on your page, some ribbon, thread or twine, a tag.

Karma Baby!

I cannot do a layout even copying someone or from a sketch in 45 mins, this LO took me about twice as long but that is FAST for me. Its cutting images out that takes time.

Cheers!

OK, I TOTALLY am inspired by all the layouts so far. The fun part for me is seeing other people's use of the same stuff that's sitting in my drawers, boxes, shelves and baskets.

Glad I made a commitment in 2014 to
A) use what I have and
really participate online this year.

Glad I found you all!

here is a quick entry for prompt 3: the hand stitching took about 30 min but the rest took about 10 because it was only four cuts on the paper trimmer and some gluing. Lifted from Nicole Samuels.

Hi everyone! Welcome to Julie.

I see everyone has been busy bees. I am all caught up on this thread. Currently, I am working on a 2 page layout (Shimelle's Return to the Collection) and it is going a bit slowly as I don't usually do 2 pagers anymore, but it is coming along. I hope to get a few more projects done this week.
