WF14 Paint Brushes Challenge

How it works: This is a color challenge. Please make a NEW project of your choice (card, ATC, scrapbook layout, etc.) that includes at least one stamped image and the colors from the color palette shown below.

You may use other colors in addition to these, but only neutrals which in my world includes metallics. So you could add white, black, cream, kraft, brown, gray, metallics, etc.

Please be sure to check the WF14 Paint Brushes Challenge box when you upload your project!

Combinations? Yes, you may combine this challenge with others.

Multiple entries? Yes, you may enter as often as you like.

Anything else? Yes, please leave PeaPraise on at least 3 other projects entered for this challenge.

What if I don't have these colors? If you don't have these colors, you can still play by making a NEW project that is inspired by the image of the paintbrushes and using whatever colors you do have available.

Questions? Ask 'em here!

Have fun! Can't wait to see what you create!

-------------------------------------

UPDATES:
You do not have to use ALL of the colors in the palette, but you DO have to use at least 3 of them. And the only other colors you can add are neutrals (which includes metallics).

UPDATE: Winner = MicheleD_utah! Congratulations!

Anne, this is such a surprise! I'm glad you're able to play. I see you're getting this part out of the way as time allows. I'll link it up and it can serve as an example to our new hosts.

This looks like a fun challenge!

This may be a stupid question, but are we supposed to use ALL of the colors on the palette on one project, or just a selection of these colors?

There are no stupid questions! Especially not over the internet which makes communicating hard enough!

You do not have to use ALL of the colors in the palette, but you DO have to use at least 3 of them. And the only other colors you can add are neutrals (which includes metallics).

This was a fun challenge. The color combos reminded me of a paint chip so I created my own paint chip and used that as a background to show all the colors. I then printed that paint chip out. I stamped directly onto the paint chip using 2 butterfly images. I stamped them using blue ink. I used blue and green colored pencils to color in the butterflies. I then used light cream/light tan brads to adhere the paint chip to green cardstock. I inked the edges with blue ink to make it pop out more.

Here is my Card:

Thank you so much for this challenge. I stretched myself into doing my first watercolor - simple method - but I enjoyed doing it and I liked the results.

I enjoyed using the colors - green, blue and beige in making a masculine card.

HI Anne,
I tried to play your challenge but got sidetracked while enjoying the process and added red to the card. Just wanted you to know I appreciate your hosting efforts. And I had tons of fun from all the inspiration...so all is good!!

This was my attempt.

Hi Anne! I hope you're recovering well! I enjoyed your challenge and working with those colors. My blue looks a little bit too vivid in the photo, it's not so much in person.

Here's my card

Thank you for hosting! I've enjoyed seeing everyone's take on these colors.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this challenge!

Something has come up (not health related - my recovery is going well!) but I won't be at Two Peas for a few days. When I get back, I will select and announce a random winner for this challenge.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Hi Anne!

I didn't get a chance to use your color palette during WF14 so I used it today for Daria's WF14 Hangover Week 2nd Chance challenge.

Thanks for the pretty palette of colors. I chose distress inks that I thought best matched your palette and stamped with those. I was inspired by Eagertoretire's pretty card that used a different 2 step stamping set.

Happy Mother's Day
