Hi there Sweet Peas!!!

Hope you all had a nice day today. I spent all weekend at a crop, which was fun, but I only slept 4 hours a night, so I am still feeling tired. I didn't stay up super late, but I really struggle to sleep at this time of the year...I wake up sooo early. I got quite a few pages done this weekend and worked on a canvas for a friend. I have been practicing my brush script, of course it would look better if it weren't in my messy handwriting. Nylene, I did make a LO with one of my practice pages this weekend, so I'll try to get it scanned in and posted in the morning. It turned out kind of fun.

Theresa - I read up on the tragedy for the family in your church...so sad! It is awesome that he is doing better though, that is a miracle. I also love your new profile photo. You've said before that you thought Aunt Ruby had cancer, I hope that the doc is able to figure it out and that she isn't in too much pain.

Diana - I'll shoot a pic of the bookshelves tomorrow too. They turned out fun, I put cute fabric with leaves in the back of them. I used some deglosser stuff from Home Depot to make the paint stick to the surface without having to remove the finish, it worked great and just rolled on like paint. Now I want to paint all kinds of stuff.

All of my new furniture is in except for the end tables. I had originally planned to have them wait to deliver all of it together because I thought that all of the big custom pieces would take longer, but they have all been in for 2 weeks. So...now I'm getting impatient and I think I may have all of it delivered this week, the end tables will fit in my SUV....not that I'm impatient. They had told me that the tables may arrive this Friday, so I've been trying to wait. I'm headed to Chicago this weekend to chaperone Mallory's show choir competition. We do get to go see the Blue Man Group, so that will be fun too.

Anywho, I need to tuck in my little man. Take care sweet ladies!

Tina

Tina, Ron posted your Huntington Bank commercial on FB, you need to post it here so the none FB peeps can see. And those girls of yours thought they were the only TV stars, LOL.

Been at the hospital, wouldn't believe the difference in Aunt Ruby today! She's alert, talking and they've moved her to a regular room this afternoon. It's amazing.

Aunt Joyce did take one of her Neurontin tablets but according to her the bed spun everywhere. Now, we'll never know if she did indeed get dizzy or if she just talked herself into getting dizzy.

NYLENE I understand the mixing up of languages; whenever I'm stuck trying to recall a word in Japanese, often a French word will pop in my head. I enjoy studying Japanese (it is very much like doing a puzzle) but I wish my kids enjoyed it more.

Sad to see Shirley Temple passed. I remember watching those movies when I was younger; what a talented young person and a very accomplished woman.

Rain finally is here...unfortunately it is bringing high winds with it as well. I'll have to drive in it later to pick up the boys from their dad's...have I said how much I dislike Tuesday evenings?

Not being very productive...how about you?

Good evening ladies! I hope that all of you sweet folks are doing well. I had my usual busy day at work today, but all is well in my world. I got the call today saying that the last pieces of my new furniture are being shipped from the factory this week, so now I just have to wait for them to get to Indiana, then I get all of my new stuff...yay!

Theresa - I'm so glad to hear that Aunt Ruby is doing better, that is fabulous!

Nylene - Commercial Here is the commercial that we filmed last month, it's running for the month of February. As I said before, I was a little freaked out doing it, but we had some good laughs picking on Ersal (the Turkish man) when he tried to spit out his lines...he was requesting subtitles by the time it was over.

I got a few of my LO's from this weekend posted. Here they are:

Creature from family camp lagoon

Everyday moments in life

I love this

Have a happy evening ladies!

HSN has the new Cricut Explore on at 11 CST tonight, repeating numerous times throughout the day on Wednesday and also Papercrafting starting at 9 a.m. CST, also repeating. Check your own TV guide or the HSN channel for times in your area. Won't be buying but might get some good ideas for projects so I have the DVR set.

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick check in. Thanks for posting the challenges Debi! I can't wait to get started on them. We finally got 9 inches of rain between Fri-Sun. Still not enough for the drought to be over, but a good start.

Praised to here.

I'll be back tomorrow to catch up on the chatter! Hope you all have a wonderful evening.

Hey girls -

Tina - I watched your commercial on Facebook - loved it! You looked great I miss you all, too.

Theresa - Glad to hear Aunt Ruby is feeling better. Maybe she needed some rest, too. Not that you get a lot in the hospital, but having someone wait on you is sometimes pretty nice

Nylene - yes, time is a valuable thing. Some days the time just whizzes by and it's over. Then there are days when I don't want to
do anything when I'm home, if that makes sense. Luckily Brian is really great at getting the laundry/dishes done. Cooper came home from his mom's a little under the weather, and he's not a real healthy kid to begin with, so we're keeping an eye on his cough.

Well, they cancelled school for today - before anything is really even happening. I imagine it's because so many problems happened last time when the snow came so hard and fast. Busses couldn't make it up some roads and sheriffs and other school volunteers had to get some of the kids home when parents couldn't make it to pick them up because they were stuck in traffic, or whatever. Very scary for kids I imagine, plus they didn't have lunch, and that became a very big issue. So better to be safe than sorry. I doubt I'll go into Joann's tonight depending on what happens over the next couple of hours. Luckily we're not supposed to get the ice this time. Our road is really bad with this kind of weather, and considering both Meagan and I totaled cars on it, we're not taking chances.

Anyway, I do have a page to post, but I'll do it later...hopefully, LOL. I'll try to get caught up on praise too.

have a great day, girls.

Been doing an online application for over an hour for a job that I probably won't get. Really annoying but at least I'm trying. This is a part time case manager job in Hopkinsville at a hospital which is over 30 miles away. It wouldn't be a great drive but I've got to find something. Most of the road is parkway. They do offer insurance for part time employees but I'd basically be working for the insurance.

Aunt Ruby is having major swallowing issues so we'll see how the tests go with that today.

Aunt Joyce did take another Neurontin last night and even though she said she still had a "swimming bed" she said it wasn't as severe as the night before so she's going to keep trying it.

Prayers for those in the path of this nasty winter storm. Sure reminds me of the one that hit us in 1995! Toni, I checked your weather and it does look like you're get missed with the ice but it still may be nasty so you stay put tonight!!!!

Going to try and make two thinking of you cards to send to my friends that lost spouses today and clean this nasty house up a bit. One of my nieces wants me to do her taxes so she may show up today. She could do them herself on Turbotax.com but, like her brother, she's scared she'll do it wrong. Same niece (Amber) is getting married this year and I'm helping her with decorations so any fireman related wedding ideas you can toss out would be appreciated.

here's a quick page I did yesterday

happy birth-mas!

not much time to scrap...been making up tons of Kanji flash cards for Noah. I'm determined to get him to pass his Japanese class. We went over 2 chapters last night and he did quite well...so there is hope. LOL
I think he has accepted that I'm going to be on him about this class now; he's resisting much less. I just hope it pays off. First test tomorrow...so tonight Kanji and vocabulary reviews.

Have Ortho appointments today too. Always something, huh?

Have a great day.

I worry for all of you in the path of the storms and those who get the edges of it. Please take care of yourselves and stay in and warm if possible.

Theresa, good luck on the application. I know there's a job perfect for you. They just need to find you! What will your Aunties do without you when you go back to work full time? Fireman wedding ideas??? Nothing comes to mind. Good luck!

Toni, hunker down and stay warm. I'm sorry Cooper is not feeling well. You have your hands full...but I'm not telling you anything you don't already know! Hugs.

Hi, Sherri! Thank you for your nice comments on my layouts.

Melanie, I hope you get a tiny bit of time to do a little scrapping. You are so beneficial to your community.

Debi, when is your RA appt? I hope you can get back on the meds. Good luck on the Kanji. It's all Greek to me. I still have kanji cards hanging on doors, etc. around the house that Angie put there when she was studying Japanese. I can't bear to take them down!

We made a drive out to see 3 homes our son is building. It was so muddy that we went thru one and decided to check out the others when they are closer to finish. The one we saw is so lovely. It will be finished next week. I was trying to picture which room would be my scraproom! LOL!

Then we made our daily trip to Home Depot. They know us by sight by now!
Off to get something done in my scraproom.

Getting photos of snow and ice from friends in the South, hoping the mess goes through and gets gone quick!

In case you see the giant sinkhole that opened in the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green on your news (it's showing everywhere), know that it's an hour from me. We go to Bowling Green to shop a lot. They also had a sinkhole open in one of the side roads, started at 4 foot yesterday but it's already 10 feet now. Crazy video, showing just how fast the ground opened and ruined classic cars from the center of the museum showcase floor.

Update on Aunt Ruby, not good one. She has severe swallowing issues and they're recommending a feeding tube. She refused. They're sending her back to the nursing home tomorrow on a thickened liquid diet. She won't survive long.

Nylene, I don't remember knowing your son built houses, that's interesting. Too funny about daily trips to Home Depot. I love that store and Lowes and Menards! I'd go daily if we had them here. Have to drive out of town for anything.

Sherri, good to see you.

Melanie thanks for the good wishes. You'd think there was a lot of nursing jobs everywhere if you believed the ads on TV!

Nylene, I'm not sure what the family is going to do when I go to work. Have to take Joyce to her cardiologist Tuesday and Charlie to a surgeon on Wednesday.

Debi, oh goodie, ortho appointments, love them--NOT!

Nothing but reruns on TV tonight, trying to talk Randy into watching one of the many DVD's he insisted on us buying that we haven't watched. Guess we'll see. Didn't get my cards made today, may just go do that.

Good Morning Sweet Peas!

Happy Thursday! I'm getting ready to start a sprint of a day. I am stacked up every hour at work today. I honestly probably would have stayed home today, I haven't been feeling well, but I have a meeting with the United Way to talk to them about funding a building project that I want to do and I'm meeting one of my mentors from my old job for lunch, so I'm going in.

Ron is taking me out for dinner tonight to do our Valentine's stuff because I'm headed out of town tomorrow to chaperone Mallory's show choir contest in Chicago all weekend. I hope that I get to feeling better, I don't really want to be dragging myself around sick with the 150 kids that we are taking.

Theresa - Good luck on the job, I really hope that something opens up for you soon. The situation with Ruby sounds bad...my Grandma had big swallowing issues before she passed, it was torture just watching her try to be fed. I'll pray for her.

Debi - I hope that you are able to pull Noah through that class. Maybe just knowing that it is that important to you will inspire him to do it.

Toni - I'm with you on being sooo over this whole winter storm thing. We've had at least six inches of snow and ice on the ground for weeks. I really want to go be someplace warm. I need to do a site visit for a treatment model that we are implementing, so I asked the person scheduling us to find a location someplace warm...she gets a fail...we are headed to Little Rock Arkansas. That was definitely NOT on my bucket list.

Anywho, I hope that each of you have a good day. I'm off to fix lunches and get out the door.

Tina

Started my morning out with hearing about a gas line explosion in Kentucky, about an hour from where the sink holes opened (going away from us thankfully). Randy was laughing over a conspiracy theory he was reading about underground creatures (think movie Tremors) causing all the problems. Anyway, up earlier than I had hoped to be but have a lot to do this morning before we head out to Evansville. Going to get Randy's books but also go out for Valentine's Day since he's working tomorrow.

morning girls -

wow, Theresa, I saw the Corvette museum on the news; how scary is that.
And now a gas line explosion! Geesch...what else can happen to that area?!? Good luck with the online application...Larry has said that that is the worse...it's frustrating to say the least. I totally understand though; it's been really rough here the past few years.

Tina - I don't mind the snow, actually...it's really absolutely beautiful outside right now; all the trees are covered, the yards, and
luckily not a lot of traffic so looking out the window is delightful...
I don't really like the cold too much though. If it's going to be cold,
give me the snow with it. I don't like heat though so would rather have the cold ... I don't like to sweat. I don't like it pouring down my face, LOL. Sorry you're going to Little Rock...not on my bucket list either, LOL. Kansas City would be a lot better, LOL.

Nylene - too funny about Home Depot...they know Larry, too, or at least they used to, some of them that work there. Of course he doesn't go in every day like he used to either. That's great about your son building houses...I'm glad there is some of that still going on, LOL. There is some here, too, but they're kind of overdoing it, LOL. We said that about Florida years ago; it's like Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach are one big city now.

Well, we got about 5 inches here...more than I expected, but about what they were telling us. It didn't really start 'til about 7:00 last night though, and then it didn't stop... it is still falling here and there. I went out to take some pics...of course the dog has already messed up the front yard she is absolutely wild let me tell you...Beauty was nowhere near as wild as this dog is...Luckily Kevin's
boss picked him up for work this morning at 5:00 because there is no way he would have made it out of our driveway. Now I know we won't have school tomorrow either, and of course Monday is a holiday...I'm going to have to finish the book I'm reading, and scrap some, LOL. Sure wish my mojo would return.

Hey Melanie, more pages please It sure has been great seeing all your beautiful work.

Diana - How are you doing down there in sunny Florida???

Anyway, hope to get caught up on praise too...I think I'll make cupcakes
today for Valentine's Day, and we'll do a little thing today since I work tomorrow night (if possible).

Hope you all have a great day!

Renee, welcome! We've not been too chatty this week so I'm glad to have you join in. Maybe I won't be so lonely.

Had a nice trip with Randy today. Scored some good clearance at Joann's on stazon ink, cardstock and stamps, whoo hoo and had a nice dinner with a gift card.

Had photos printed at SAM's for the first time (we were going anyway) and got 25 free for signing up. The quality is awesome, very impressed. They're too far away to use all the time for processing but when I know I'm going to be going to Evansville, I'll use it again. I uploaded this morning and picked them up this afternoon, gotta love that.

Hi Everyone! And a special hello to Renee.

Well, Sean survived the camp, even tried to persuade me he didn't need to go to school yesterday and today. Fat chance. My friend is doing a commissioned piece of art for our new bedroom décor and we spent Wednesday morning discussing options. Nylene, our curtains are going to be a linen stripe - pale and a straw colour. I'll post pic once it's done.

Tina - I can't wait to see your new furniture. I was looking at your Pintrest boards the other day and love the style you pinned.

I am so worried about you all in those terrible snowstorms. And rain too. Just sounds like a mess. We are in a heat-wave for the weekend - 100F+ till Monday. UGH! Tina, your seminar should have been held here - you would appreciate the cold again. Please be careful if heading out.

Theresa, hope Aunt Ruby feels better. It doesn't sound good at all.

Debi, Hope the antibiotic works. You sound a bit more positive. Does that mean you are feeling better? Noah will do much better now he's realised you aren't going to let him get away with slacking.

Going to try and catch up with praising. You are all so busy!

Just left the nursing home, Aunt Ruby isn't going to be around long. Took Aunt Joyce to see her for a bit. She wakes up for a little bit but goes right back to sleep. I think they have her over medicated with pain medication but if they don't give it to her she cries and says she's in pain and her kids can't stand it. Don't have an answer but do know the end result will be her death. Right now I'm thinking that her and her Son and Daughter would all be better off. Aunt Joyce, not so sure about. Ruby is her last sibling. But, even then, she hates to see her in the shape she's in.

Thinking we're just going to get rain here this time but it's already snowing in Owensboro (an hour above us) so who knows. If the temps drop this afternoon/evening like they say it is going to, even rain will freeze and then all the stuff that is gradually melting will refreeze. Glad I don't have to get out anymore tonight.

Michelle, how exciting to get an original design for your decor! Can't wait to see photos. Glad Sean survived camp!

Going to go take a nap I think, I'm worn out.

Welcome Renee, Always nice to add another scrapper to our little impromptu group. Your pages are terrific. Keep sharing.

Well Noah got a 100% on his first homework sheet this quarter and still waiting to see his score for his first quiz...crossing my fingers, because I think if he sees he can do well he'll be more motivated to continue studying.

funny weather today-spurts of sun, drizzle and full out downpours.

Went to Rheumatologist this morning and I've been okayed to start my meds for RA...now I have to still navigate the new insurance or nothing will be paid for...one step forward, 2 steps back.

Yes, I'm feeling better (as far as the lungs go); this last antibiotic seems to be doing the trick, but my RA is really raging. Hopefully soon I can get that under control too.

My handyman friend asked me to help him with a job yesterday-suffering from it today. We laid a laminate floor, finished off a big walk in closet and de-clogged (had to go through the wall to access the pipe) a water line. Had a garbage disposal to install but ran out of time. I don't think I was all that helpful, but he paid me anyway so now I have enough to cover the new season of Ultimate Frisbee fees starting next week.

He's talking about me helping him paint the entire inside of a house...we'll see. Sure wish my body would cooperate more.

What's everyone doing for Valentine's? I put heart shaped box of chocolates in my kids' lunchboxes...hope they find that enjoyable. Might rent a movie from Redbox tonight to share with the kids. Already have a huge bowl of curry made up for dinner...so that about wraps it up for me.

have a good day
Debi

Welcome Renee. Thanks for posting your layouts. Keep posting. You have a nice style.

Hi, everyone. I'm jealous of Michelle and Tina's redecorating, but I wish someone would just come in and do it for me. I'm still stuck in the 80's.

I don't remember who commented on my son building houses, but that's what he has done since college. He's a general contractor who did all his own work (without sub-contractors) while the building freeze was on for the last 7 or so years. Now he's busy again..probably too busy, but you work when there IS work. He sends subs to our house to do sweet little things like installing the light over DH's computer, putting in a hand held shower, painting our front door, etc. He is such a considerate son. We are blessed! Debi, I wish you had him living by you. I know he'd take care of a lot of little things you need done. (or his subs would!)

DH and I went to the early matinee of Monument Men today. Being early and a senior citizen makes it affordable. The movie was wonderful. Such an interesting story that we haven't heard much about during WWII. It's worth seeing.

Today is DD's b-day so I need to get off the computer do some things for her.

Sending Valentine love to all of you!

Evening all and Happy Valentine's Day, don't think I said that earlier.

Took a little nap and feeling better. Talked to a friend on the phone til my ear hurts but it was nice catching up.

Debi, I love to do that kind of work, wish I had someone to take me under his wing here. I'd switch from nursing in a second. Hmmm, maybe I need to look into that. Hurray for getting to start back on the RA meds and also on DS getting a 100 on his quiz today too. Know both are a load off your mind.

Guess I'll go see about getting something for dinner, almost 7 p.m. Not sure what time Randy's coming home but made him soup the other day so he can have it when he gets here.

I'm up (the boys are finally up too) but I'm a bit stiff still. I know if I just force myself to walk around, I'll feel better, but getting there hurts so it takes me awhile just to do it. LOL Pitiful, aren't I?

First day of mid-winter break and boys' friends are already calling to see if they can go over. I really don't want to be a taxi service but sometimes it's necessary.

Hoping to do a bit of decluttering today. anyone with me?

So I will be working on that, my whales, Coles book, cards and hopefully finishing up some of my kids pages. Look out ladies I may drive you all crazy!

Anyway here is the link to the book in progress then I will be putting my pages as completed here to bore you all with.

Wanda, the book looks marvelous so far. Cole is so gorgeous and it's nice to see Tiff's smiling face. You're right, we'll have to fix Cole and Julianne up later on, wouldn't their babies be gorgeous!!! Liked the Memory Stones shots too (that's what Jackson called tombstones) and the Eagle photo coming off the water is phenomenal.

Debi, glad you weren't too sore after all the work Friday.

Parade for the Watsons was nice, not a lot of people there but it was 30 degrees so it was understandable that people didn't want to stand on an ice covered bank to wave at cars. They missed the smiling faces of Chad and Kylie. Was going to post the video that I posted on FB but it won't let me share it here (not my video) but I am going to add the clip from the news below (it has a commercial first). If you look closely you'll see my big mouth in the crowd around the 1.35 min marker (standing behind the welcome sign with a purple scarf around my head). There were who knows how many TV stations there. Chad was driving the vehicle Kylie was in, how awesome is that!

Aunt Ruby was alert and talking when I went yesterday. She even fed herself some ice cream. Not sure what today will bring for her. Aunt Joyce spent a couple of hours there and when I took her back home she was almost bubbly with excitement that Ruby had rebounded.

Slept a bit better last night, didn't have the crazy wild dreams so only woke up about four times. Have to get out of this warm robe and get ready for church. It's still freezing here, not sure which weather guy said it was going to get to 50 today but he needs to be fired.

Pretty quite here today.
People must know I'm back and are avoiding the place!!! Ha Ha or at least I hope haha.

Theresa good to hear Ruby and Aunt Joyce are doing better. Sounds like you could still use some more restful sleep though. Thanks for looking at my link of my book. Watched the video, how nice to report that, so sad though.
Keeping all in my thoughts and prayers!

Good Morning Sweet Peas,

I'm baaack! I had a super busy weekend in Chicago with Mallory's show choir. The competition days are always really long, but the kids did great. We were competing against a bunch of schools from several states, the #1 and #8 choirs in the country were there. Mal's all girls choir won their division and our mixed choir got 2nd behind the highest ranked group. The kids all did an amazing job, it was a lot of fun. We also went to see the Blue Man Group on Sunday, which they really enjoyed too.

Thankfully, my work is closed for President's Day today, so I have a day to pick up the house and recover before heading back to work. I'm also meeting a friend for lunch, which will be super nice, I haven't seen her in a few months.

Renee - Welcome!!! Please feel free to jump in and join the group.

Wanda - Hi Sweet Lady! I'm glad that you had a great trip to Hawaii...I'm still jealous. Can't wait to see all of the pics.

Well, I'd better get moving. My sweet hubby and Griffin had a guy's weekend while we were gone, so I need to clean it up.

Have a lovely day ladies!

Tina

Hi pea pals!

I had a migraine over the weekend and I feel like someone scrambled my brains. Hopefully it won't come back. It's been a long time since I had one this bad.

Debi, good luck with the new insurance. I'm not hearing good reports on it.

Tina, so glad your choirs did well. What fun to travel with the kids.

Wanda, your book is incredible. I wish I could take photos like you do. I love the owl photo and those eagles. We searched for the perfect eagle photo to use on the cover of the Scout Eagle Recognition Banquet. Now that we are no longer in charge, I find the perfect photos in your book!

Theresa, I hope Aunt Ruby continues to rebound. I remember having weird dreams when mom and dad were really bad. I think I carried my worries into my dreams. I hope you can get some quality sleep. I'm glad you went to the "parade". I couldn't get the video to work, but I often can't even get the 2peas ones to work.

Today's a busy day, even tho it's a holiday. Our big Blue and Gold Banquet is tomorrow and one den leader just had knee replacement and one is out of town. So lots of work has fallen to me. I'll be back after it's over!

Thought my friend Paula was coming today but she changed her mind which actually was a good thing because I woke up with a horrendous headache. Went back to bed at 9:30 and slept til almost 12. Head still hurts but really think it's sinus more than anything else so going to try a different med.

Think I best go get out of my pajamas and maybe see about chipping away more ice from the driveway since it's almost 50 outside. The fresh air might help my head.

I couldn't do anything with the ice so I didn't stay out there long. It did pour down rain afterward and warmed up to 50 so I really just wasted my time. Still some ice out there in the driveway though, even now.

Made a card for our Music Minister who turns 40 tomorrow. Designed it on the Silhouette and used the sketch markers.

Theresa, I love that card! I have 2 children who haven't yet turned 40. I'm going to do this for them. Cute!

Here are the pages I finished the other day.

Charming & Courageous

This little gal is going to have pretty teeth eventually, but she's really gone through a lot and she's less than half finished. Our oldest DD had similar problems. DH had extra teeth too, but that was back before they could do this kind of work, and besides those teeth got knocked out in an accident while being a tank driver in the military. So they took care of themselves.

Oh Wanda you are such a hoot...we wont' kick you out because you are so prolific of a scrapper. Love your 2013 book and I agree with NYLENE, those eagle photos are awesome. Can't wait to see you latest whale photos, and boy, was I way under-guessed for the number of photos you'd take.

THERESA, NYLENE sorry to hear you suffer with migraines too. Owen suffers with migraines and I have too although I've been much better the last few years.

No scrapping, just been working on Japanese flash cards for Noah...takes a long time to do. Boys are going to a friend's for the evening, so I get to play taxi.

Watching Olympics; I especially like the ice skating.

Have a great day.

hey girls -

I came on here yesterday to start praising, and commenting, but got
called away...
so anyway, glad all is well with everyone, even suffering with migraines, which is not a pleasant experience at all.
Just wanted to stop by before getting ready for school. We've
had so much time off, it's going to be hard getting back in the
swing of things.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day.

Man I lost my whole post. My fault.

Nylene if you ever need any kind of photo I would be happy to send you anything you like. Thanks so much for the kind words. Wish I could take credit but God does provide me with the subjects and I like to think I'm a little voice for him sharing with others what he has created and hopefully others will appreciate protect and love what he has done.

Debi...you haven't know me long enough to realize what a nut case I'am when it comes to animals and taking photos. Whales are very difficult to photograph. You never know where they will pop up and you must be ready and waiting with your finger on the shutter and eye through the lens most of the time which is tuff on a boat''''uppie downie hope stays innie and not outtie ha ha. They are large but fleeting and fast believe it or not. Such graceful giants. I feel so blessed to be able to see and capture any of Gods wonderful creatures. Thanks so much for looking at my book. I have a ton more eagles just haven't scrapped them yet. Those were taken on a boat in the lake with my new camera so was testing it out'''exposure ect ect.

Tina'' sounds like you had a wonderful time. I would love to attend such an event someday. It would be so much fun! Also seems like the guys had a good time too! Can't wait to see your new furniture and décor when your finished!! Hope you have a great week.

Theresa...patience my friend...although the fresh air probably did help you a bit but gosh no wonder your tired. I may have to come sit on you to keep you down. I think you need a sweet little girl to take up your time Hope you get to feeling better quick! Sinus sucks!!

Toni''' your fly by's are not acceptable'''I need more me time!!!
Hope you have a good week sweet friend!

Well here is one I did quickly for my 2013 album. Around the yard TFL and have a great day!

Hi everyone!

We just about melted here the last few days. A heat-wave hit on Friday and it has been above 100F since then. Finally started cooling down this afternoon and it's about 98F now... Any decrease feels like a relief My energy levels have been zero in the heat, so the decorating has come to a standstill.

Wanda, I can't believe I was closest! I kinda judged how many I would take, so you are as attached to your camera as me . Sounds as if you had a lot of fun. I'd love to visit Hawaii someday. Maybe that get together we were chatting about (long) time ago in Hawaii will come off one day?

Theresa - sounds as if it's up and down with Aunt Ruby. It's so difficult, because you don't want to get your hopes up, but it happens anyway. Hope that migraine disappeared.

Tina - Yay for the show choir doing so well. That's brilliant!

Debi - Good the pneumonia is finally going. And well done on Noah's great result. Maybe he will realise hard work pays off... or any work, for that matter . Good luck with the health insurance.

Stay warm - we've been hearing about the storms in the USA on our news! never happened before for snow. We usually only hear about the hurricanes.

Morning all, didn't have a migraine, just a sinus headache. Different but still painful but appreciate the prayers anyway because it's quite a bit better today. Not gone but I can see out of both eyes and even though they're red, I'll be able to drive today. Have to take Aunt Joyce to see her cardiologist in Owensboro. Will eat lunch afterward and won't get home til this afternoon so it's a full day.

Toni, I agree with Wanda, flybys aren't good enough.

Tammy posted on FB that she just got back from Hawaii too. Shame we didn't win that lottery this past weekend so we could all go. Oh well, there's still the chance this week since no one one then. Wouldn't costs me as much now since there are so few of us on here!

In case you didn't know it, 2P's has some challenges up for WinterFest and you can earn new badges for different things, not that it really makes a difference. The badges are actually showing up in your posts too.

Straightened the living room up yesterday and got the sheets and a load of towels washed. Other than making that birthday card I also used an old kosher pickle jar to make a bank for extra cash to save for Julianne. Didn't post it on here but thought you might like to see it anyway. Regular size banks don't work, have to have a big enough opening to just toss the change in or it ends up on the counter or back in Randy's pants pockets the next morning. Sorry that the photo is too large, don't know how to make it smaller.

wow THERESA you're going to town with that vinyl cutting...look at all the projects you've been doing. Heck I was happy just getting a few loads of laundry done...LOL

Raining hard here today. Boys are still asleep. They've really been sleeping in this week (Mid-winter break); thinking housemate called out of work today as her door is shut and she doesn't usually leave it shut unless she's inside. Didn't hear her making breakfast this morning either. Hmmm...we'll see eventually.

I'm going to work on another chapter of Kanji for Noah...I have 4 more chapters to complete...takes me a couple hours to do each one. I sure hope it helps.

Have a good day.

Debi, vinyl is much easier to cut than cardstock so it's a lot quicker to do projects. Hope your roommate is well and not ill.

Home from the doctor with Joyce and we're both worn out. Stopped by the nursing home after I dropped Joyce off in Central City to check on Aunt Ruby, she's in a better mood today. Was too tired to stay long though. I'll have to take Joyce back to Owensboro Monday for CT Scans of both legs, possibility of stents needed. Charlie's appointment tomorrow with the surgeon postponed til next Tuesday due to a MD emergency so she can rest tomorrow. We'll have to postpone any stent placement with her til Charlie has his colonscopy because he will probably require surgery. Yes, there's a reason I haven't found the right job---it'll be a relief when I do go back to work, will probably get more rest, LOL.

Need to make two baby cards for showers this weekend but think I'll just sit her for a while and do nothing!

My goodness there is a lot to catch up on when you don't check the board everyday! LOL, guess that is why you all are called "chatty"!

Theresa, I hope everything is going better for your Aunt Ruby now that she is in the nursing home. Hopefully they will be able to make her comfortable.

Congrats to all your fantastic students out there! My kids are still very young so I haven't gotten to the spelling tests and math quizzes yet.

I'm starting to go through everyone's layouts. You all have such amazing talent and wonderful ideas! Thank you for the inspiration!!

I was at my semi-annual crop weekend over Valentine's so I was able to get a ton accomplished. This is one of my favorite layouts. link to gallery

Thank you again for the kind words about the others I shared and the wonderful welcome!!! I'll have to make sure I add this board to my watchlist so I can find it easier. Hummmm.... now to figure out how to do that. LOL!!

Have a good one ladies!

RENEE to add thread to your watch list, go to top of thread, left click on the arrow to the right of the reply button and select Watch this thread option. Easy peasy.

Well managed to get the boys' hair cut, visit mom, and have pizza at mom's, watch a movie and some Olympics this evening. Did get caught in a thunder/lightning/hail storm that dumped a couple of inches of hail--looked like we were snowed in all over again. Geesh.

Home now and so ready to go to bed.

Hello!

Renee, I love that layout!

Theresa, I love your Princess fund. We need one that says Retirement Fund!
Cute idea and adorable jar.

Wanda, I don't work with the older scouts (eagle age) anymore. Just the little boys. But if I need a great eagle photo I know where to go now!!

Our Blue and Gold went well. It was lots of work and my legs are killing me from being on them all day yesterday, but it's over for another year.
I think the boys had a great time.

I'm trying to catch up a little around the house today and have to help some girls sew quilts tonight. I hope that goes better than I'm expecting it to.

Michelle, wish you could send me some of that warmth...I'd trade you for some cold!

Gotta run. Take care of yourselves. I'll be back later!

Evening all. Been playing trying to figure out more with the Silhouette today, did two cards for the baby showers I have this weekend (will post them after the shower) and other than that haven't done anything. It warmed up to 65 and I was finally able to chip off the rest of the ice so I did do that, whoo hoo. Randy pulled his hip yesterday somehow (he had to go to a meeting for work and pulled it getting up, then had to drive over an hour so the muscle set up). He was still in pain this morning so he stayed home today. Miracle upon miracle the minute it was too late to go to work he felt better, such a spoiled child, LOL.

Talked to Jeremy, Julianne is almost 10 pounds now. He's driving his family to Raleigh, NC tomorrow because Kate's sister just bought a new home there and she's anxious to show it off. They'll be there til Sunday. Long drive with a 7 week old and two large dogs. Kate's Mom is flying down from Delaware to start looking for a place there too. Kate'll be harping to move too I'm sure. Jeremy said no already because he loves Lexington and it's way too far away from us. Not sure what I'll do if she wins out.

We're expected to get nasty possible tornadic storms tomorrow so I won't be going anywhere then either. Need to clean my scrap area so that's my plan.

I always say what I mean, I just may not mean to say it out loud!
