Full marks on both of your ATCs, Veronica! Love how clever you were with stuff from the kit I sent you.

I don't see these on the swap blog, however. Were you unable to click on the challenge when you uploaded them? Long as you have them linked here it's cool, but you might be able to edit your uploads & connect them to the blog, too.

Hope you have fun with what's left in the kit.

Hooray! Just got my KIAE from Craft Nerd! It's chock-a-block full of interesting 'things'. So many possibilities, but one stamped image just grabs my attention! Think that's gonna be the basis for the first of several projects from this kit. And...Oh yeah. Sarah included a made PP in teal. Thanks sooooo much!

No sweat, 'V'! Not the first time this has happened. I'll keep checking the blog. They may still show up, but you have them linked here & that's good. Pleased you are enjoying this month's KIAE. Hope you'll join us for the April Swap too!

Taking a break from working on a project from Nerd's kit. I'm having a ball, but need to do a bit of 'what next'.

So far I'm up to being sure I'm using 6 items from the kit And being parsimonious with some items so I have enough for other projects. She sent me loads, but I don't want go 'spendthrift' with them. KWIM?

How're y'all doing with your projects--required & pluses!

The ATC I posted from the KIAE I got from Iring was the first ATC I've ever made. Now I have another from the kit I sent to Sarbear. I mailed the kit to her a week ago, so whenever I hear that she has received it I will post my second ATC and a photo of the kit.

Making ATC's is really fun! I can see becoming hooked on these. (Not to mention twinchies and inchies)

Daniel - I'm so glad you are enjoying the kit I sent you. I had my mind on the tag swap when I put it together. So I had to include some teal pp for you.

I actually was home sick today (massive headache) and I got a chance to play with my kept kit. I got an ATC finished and I used the pp I made for paper piecing on my March tag swap tag. Once everything is dry, I will take pictures and post them.

First ATC, 'Sophi'? Looks great! I purposely kept the requirement for our ATCs a lot looser then the classic definition. 2.5x3.5 is actually a good sized 'canvas' to play with. As a personal choice, I try not to add layers & such that go 'too far' past the edges of the card, but that's not a deal breaker with the ones we're doing--long as the base is the size required.

Sorry for your headache, Sarah. Glad you were able to play. I'm working on my 2nd piece from stuff in your kit. Doing an ATC now.

Got 2 pieces done from Nerd's kit--I'm on a roll!

Today the site had a hiccup so some of us couldn't post, but definitely want players to stop by & not just say "JCI".

Check out what Veronica did for the curremt SND challenge (easel card). While I won't meet the SND deadline, I'm definitely going to tackle doing an easel from kits. Since I've finished all my 'required', I can use stuff from both of this month's kits & leftovers from Jan & Feb.

Let the merriment be unbounded!

Great job on your projects, Susan & Sarah! LOL'd on Nerd's ATC--we both were crazy enough to fussy-cut the scissors. My version is out for the mail--very different from Sarah's.

LOL, Sophikins. Yeah. Posts across our forum have slowed down. It happens. Far as uploads? Players have the rest of this month to do & share. I appreciate your desireto see 'new', but 'sok if players take a bit of time, too. Far as SarBear? You've asked her here, so feel free to PM her, too.

And SarBear? LOL, pal. 'JCI' posts don't cut it--'tho we're happy to see you're still breathing..

As we've been saying since we started this swap/challenge, we want the thread to be a place where we all chat, share questions & comments all thru the month. Doesn't have to be every day or a long post, but this swap is not just about doing envelope kits & required projects. So I'm not just singling out SarBear. We had a few swappers in Feb who never said nuthin'.

We remain happy with how well most of you have embraced this particular swap. You energize your hosts & one-another. Thank You!

Daniel I love the bunny image stamp I am working on a card with the second one you sent The fairy is kind of tricky ..I usually use markers and blender pen or watercolors to color images but I am affraid to do that with the fairy ... I might have to get the colored pencils out for that one

Veronica. It's on the blog. Bless you for taking the effort. I left you a whole new bunch of praise & thank you for inspiring mw with an idea for using both the embossed pieces & the bunny. BTW? The stamp had a 'face', but I just 'hated' it. So I did surgery on him some time back.

Sarah. When I saw your ATC, I just laffed & laffed. I knew we were sympatico nutcases. Yeah. Give the organizing a break & start crafting!

So pleased to see folks posting comments & more!

Heads Up To all our (beloved) KIAE swappers. Your cohosts have begun planning April's swap/challenge. And we are in contact with another swap's host for possible collaboration in April.

Never fear! All of us will be gentle with y'all.

We're just past the halfway point for this month & it's looking good for projects. To a lesser degree with the thread posts that aren't just for linking projects, but it's better this month.

We're all beginning to build on what previous months have 'taught' us--just like her wonderful 'monthly tag swap'. She's doing her 2nd year as its host & not burdened by having to cater to the whims of a co-host. Don't worry. April & I get along fine. We both know I'm the guy 'in charge'.

How could we not be concerned about what your plotting, CG, you have the activating words for the Marauder's Map for your signature line. Clearly, you are trouble.

I spent last evening coloring the images from the kit Snickerdoodle sent me with my twinkle H2Os. I also made a couple of new background papers for them using embossed resist with my twinkle H2Os. I really like how they came out and I think I'm going to make a few more today.

Another week of 'fun' here @ KIAE & we definitely want to hear from all of you sometime this week on the thread.

Stop by & mumble a few syllables--no 'JCIs'

I'm still making good use of both my kits for March, but pretty sure I'll have some stuff left from both by month's end. How 'bout y'all? Let us know how you're doing & don't be afraid to share what you like & 'don't love' about any part of the KIAE--we promise to listen. 'Course we may not use your ideas. Hosts' perogative...

I'm having so much fun playing with my kits! I finally got around to uploading my projects I've made so far. Thank goodness for nap time

Here's a card I made from the kit I received from Sarbear!
Easter greetings
I forgot to mention, I embossed my blue cardstock with an EF. I guess that's obvious though.

And here's a couple of projects from my kept kit

3x3 card

And my ATC, I messed up the coloring on his hat. So to keep within the rules, I tried to fix it rather than stamp out another one. I just added some glitter to it. He's a zazzy little fella

This card meets the 3 items requirement for my received kit:

And here are some extra projects:

Fairy Card - Received Kit

I've got two more cards done with my received kit, but I haven't posted them yet.

March is about to get very busy for me, so I am sharing my original kit and the card I created with the kit I sent. This month we were challenged to make our own patterned paper. It took me a while but I came up with a concept I really liked and would do again. The ATC was an interesting twist as well, but I decided to use the ATC concept but still incorporate it all into 1 card. The card has also already been sent to a fellow Two Peas stamper, so I consider that an extra bonus. I also fell in love with Close to My Heart stamps again. It was really nice having something new and fun to work with. I bought this stamp set used at a crop as I was working on winter layouts and I have already made 6 layouts and 2 cards. Always fun with a stamp motivates us and inspires us.

Snowman Friends Card

Kit and Creation details:
I created patterned paper by using a circle stamp that has various sizes of circles. I then stickled the smaller circles to give it a snow effect. I used colored pencils to color in my snowman and then tore the edges around the snowman to give it a snow effect as well. The atc is where I chose to showcase the sentiment. I added a touch of lace, the patterned paper background I created, and then the sentiment to a kraft cardstock atc. Added a few blue gems to give it some more glimmer. I incorporated the atc and the snowman image into one card. The card was then promptly used to send to a 2 peas friend. I used almost all of the elements of the March kit that I created including 1 snow image, the sentiment, the atc, the lace, 4 blue gems, 2 buttons- (only added 1 extra button from my personal stash), 3 pearl gems, and the blue card.

Great challenge this month. Love what everyone has been creating.

Sincerely,
Neysa aka neyw

Here is an ATC from the kit I kept and sent to Sarbear. I hope she has received it by now. Just in case she hasn't I don't want to post a photo of the whole kit yet. I am planning several more projects with it, so I can post of photo of the whole kit when I do those.

Daniel- I used your technique of nibble around a stamped image with a hand-held punch, it's a fun effect.
