Glad your envelope arrived, Joe!

I believe the only envelope still 'traveling' is the one for SarBear. Never fear, Sophikins. It may have run into a head wind on its way Down Under.

I mailed that kit to Sarbear on March 4 from a post office- it's been two and a half weeks! Hope it is not lost somewhere in the Indian Ocean, or wherever it is that missing planes go.

One of the 'hazards' of participating in any swap is the mailing part--domestic or international. With our swap format being regular envelopes, we don't have tracking to rely on.

Since we have several regular international swappers, this might be a good time to consider suggestions for how we might handle future mailings. All comments are welcome.

Is there a way to add tracking to a regular envelope without increasing the cost of postage?

And... While we're sure everyone will do their durndest to share their projects by the required deadline...Stuff happens. IF for any reason you cannot share by deadline, please remember that you can still link your photos to the monthly thread--not the blog 'cause that closes. But (if you bookmark the thread) you can still share them on that month's thread.

Within the next few days, the sign-up & requirements for the April KIAE will be posted. We hope all of our present (& past) swappers will consider joining us.

Just to be clear, we are not saying that it is ok to miss the deadline for uploading your projects. When you sign up, you acknowledge that as a commitment. We also still have the rule that you can't sign up for the next month's swap until you have fulfilled all of the current month's swap requirements

Thanks for adding the 'clarity', partner.

April tells me that if you mail an envelope from your local (US) post office you can request tracking info for a fee (under $1). Since I have to do the PO when I mail to Canada or Australia, I don't have a problem with that. 'Peace of mind' is definitely worth a buck to me.

How about our international swappers? Do you have similar 'tracking' for envelopes you send across your borders?

Daniel, I don't think you can track international. The post office has told me in the past that there's no way to track it once it leaves the U.S.

Hooray, Sarah! I know we're all relieved that your kit made it safely. Can't wait to see your projects.

With SarBear's receipt, we should be 100% on kits. Good. And I do believe we're very close to being 100% on projects shared. We're getting 'better' at doing our 'required' stuff by deadline. Takes time to establish a workable routine for both hosts & swappers, but we're coming along.

We all have until March 31 to finish & share our required projects. Please read the update in the OP & respond.

For those who have completed both requred projects, don't forget you can share more projects. They can be combos from both kits & the 3-item rule does not need to be followed--but only if you have shared the required projects first!

I'm complete, though I still have stuff I could play with.
I made 2 ATC's and a card from the kit I received from JoeScrapper and 1 card from my kept kit, none of which use commercially printed paper.

Thanks to all who've responded! Glad to see we're keeping in touch of our swaps & challenges. Makes me very happy.

Nice to see so many of us are doing more than the required projects, but many of us also do more than one swap/challenge. So no biggie if all you are able to do is the obligation ones.

Also very happy to hear that many of us have stuff left in our recieved kits. We're getting real good @ filling these puppies up, hain't?

The kit Sarbear posted was the one I sent. I had a photo too, but I didn't want to post it until she received the kit, but she beat me to it.

As for my progress, from my "sent" kit I made an ATC so far.

From the kit I received I made an ATC and a card. I plan on a few more projects before the month is over. I have another card almost done, and I am using some leftovers from the Feb received kit too.

Cool, Sophi! Can't wait to see what you do with a combo of current & last month's 'leftovers'.

Your envelope to SarBear was really full of neat stuff! I love the basket stamp & more.

Given your talent--prodigious--I'm betting your April pieces will be awesome & also betting we'll see some inclusions from your March kit.

Y'all! Don't forget to bookmark this thread so you can have it saved.

For the requirements, I made an ATC with my kept kit and a card with my received kit.

I also made an easel card and tag with my kept kit. Although the easel card has store bought pp on it. And I made an easel card and 2 regular cards with my received kit. I still have to post pictures of the 2 regular cards.

And I may make one or two more projects from the kept kit if I get a chance.

Total:
5 projects posted but a total of 7 projects finished.

I have made 1 ATC with my kept kit. I'm working on a card from my received kit that I will post as soon as I'm done. I have most of the day tomorrow to work in my craft room so I should get a lot done.

I managed to do a kit-combo, too.

Shaped Easel With Pocket

The egg (embossed index card) & some colored cs came from my kept kit.

The (blue) ribbon came from the kit 'Nerd' sent me.

This was fun to make & now I'm ready to start on April's KIAE. I still have a lot of stuff left from my 'Nerd' kit, not much teal, tho'.

As we wind up our March swap & prepare to tackle April's, I took a gander @ this month's 'gallery' of goodies. It's very impressive. If you haven't left a comment for a fellow swapper, please make an effort to.

We're very pleased with everyone's efforts this month. Kits were mailed in a timely fashion & all the projects--required & extras are terrific.

We're also pleased that we're building a cadre of 'regular' KIAEs, but we're not a clique--always room for newbies to join in the fray!

I'm finally posting the other 2 cards I made from my received kit that I finished almost 2 weeks ago.

Blue Bird

Purple Fairy

I actually used an item from my kept kit on a birthday card for my hubby but I haven't photoed it yet. Once I do, I'll post it.

I am so pleased with all of us!

A reminder. If you have not already done so, be sure to bookmark this month's thread. That will provide you with access to its blog so you can go back & review projects for inspiration & such.

I've got the thread Bookmarked! So many great projects. I commented on ones I had missed last night!

Lots of good Easter project inspriation.

Daniel, I will stamp out the images I used for my card so you can see how the images looked separate. I should've snapped a pic beforehand but that thought didn't cross my mind until I was knee deep in cutting .

Anyone else enjoy fussy cutting? I used to avoid it but now I find it relaxing. Yes, I'm weird

LOL, Pug! Welcome to the world of 'weird'--you're in good company, pal. I'm seeing lots of us who find FC & other labor-intensive techniques 'relaxing'.

Thanks for offering to share images of the four stamps you used to do the wonderful fussy cut & combine. I thot (at first) you had Zentangled the design. Looks great!
