What is that thing that is causing you a bit of grief at the moment, a road block, or something that you really want to know how to do but can't?

It could be a technique that you want to learn how to use better.
Or a product that you can't master.
Or even a process, like you are struggling to organise your supplies, or can't get motivated to select your photos.
Perhaps you just have trouble with making your albums into something cohesive.

I would love to know!

I think for me my biggest scrappy struggle is a lot of my pages feel the same, so I want to try using more sketches to try and challenge myself to step away from my tried and tested layouts I seem to gravitate towards.

My biggest struggle is just sitting down to scrap. I need to spend less time online and more time scrapping.

Also, I am such a slow scrapper. I never glue anything down till I am satisfied with the layout, but getting to that point takes so much longer than I think it should.

Watercolors!! I have tried with and without gesso on cardstock and neither one looked like anything that I would put in my scrapbooks. I have taken Art class 1 and am just starting to re-watch the videos to see what I am doing wrong.

Every time I try to use TH distress ink with the blending tool, it never looks good. It looks blotchy and very uneven. I've tried using a lighter hand on the paper, using hardly any ink, a makeup sponge, but nothing makes it look softly blended. And I love the look, so I keep trying. I don't think I'm being too picky. It really does look awful. And I've seen TH online demos over and over, but I don't get it.

I am trying to get in to PL but I am having a hard time. I scrap chronologically and I am in 2011 right now. I haven't done regular scrapbook pages in months and sitting down and trying to figure it out is mind-boggling. I don't do the picture-a-day thing just regular pics (birthday, football game, etc). I just want to do hybrid pages where there may be a 12X12 page on one side and a PL type pocket page on the other. But, it is hard to find the stuff I need without buying a PL kit. I was at an LSS today and it was a joke. No PL type sheets of paper or inserts. And, Michaels? UGH!

Just trying to find time to scrap. I was so happy with my accomplishments for NSD. I'm normally pretty critical of my work, but I really liked what I made and I felt like I was on a roll. But I haven't had time to sit at my desk since Monday afternoon. We're in the middle of home renos and I had to travel today for work. I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to scrap again. And I just feel like maybe my mojo has disappeared.

Probably a few different things add up to why I'm not scrapping as much as I used to.
One, I don't like my scrap room. We knew when we moved here that we might not live here long so I didn't decorate it at all. It's bland and boring and I don't enjoy being in there.
Two, I lack the focus that it takes to scrap for long periods of time like I used to. I just can't seem to scrap all day like I used to even if I can find the time. Like Scrapn Nana said, I spend too much of my down time online. Being online doesn't require focus. It's easy. Too easy.
Three, when I do find a good chunk of time I'm either too tired to more drawn to spending time with my family.

I would love to schedule some scrap time soon to try to get back into the groove.

I struggle with organizing my supplies. Just when I think I have everything like I would like them, I see a new idea and run with it! Then I end up with containers or storage units that I though were great, that I now don't use…….SIGH…...

Moving! Most of my supplies are already packed. But storage and organization will be the next huge hurdle. We're moving to 40 acres, but the house we're refurbishing is small only 1500 sq ft. And my room will have to serve 3 purposes as opposed to just my crafting. I'll probably do digital layouts until I have my stuff back out and organized.

I just cannot get motivated, and it's not lack of time or energy, just motivation. I want to scrap, but I don't want to scrap any of the ~100 pics I already have printed. Getting pics ready to be printed also seems like too big of a task, so I haven't done that, either. I think my biggest problem is that something went wrong with my memory card in my phone, and I lost all of my pics from April. I'm really bummed out about that, and ever since then, I just can't get into the scrapping kind of mood.

I have two.
Right now, I'm having to make a bunch of cards for my son's awesome teacher, Mother's Day and Birthday. All are different and due Sunday except his teacher's. I am finding that I don't enjoy card making, I'd rather scrapbook. My family would be highly disappointed if I gave them a store bought card. I have massively procrastinated! I'm dreading Father's Day as well. I'm not good with man cards. I will get over myself as there are just two of them!

The energy it takes to do anything scrap wise during my work week. I'm exhausted when I get home. Usually, there are practices after work so it's 8 p.m. before I get home which means I left home 12 hours before. Weekends are busy with kid's sports.

I need to do a major photo organization. I had it planned as my big winter project and then I got busy. I have all these grand plans for a childhood album for me, heritage album, school years for my daughter, etc. but I need to know exactly which childhood photos I have of myself, at what age, etc. and which vintage family photos I have and who they are, etc. I guess I'm going to have to work on it in small increments since I don't have a month to spare doing nothing else. Other than that, I've been scrapping more than ever!

I love putting stories and photos on paper. I love the finished layouts. I hate how much room the bloody albums take up. That's my struggle.

Since I enjoy the process and the finished results, I'll keep scrapping. I'm digitising all my layouts so one day they can be made into photo books when we no longer have the space to keep the albums. It'll happen. I'm quite sure of that. (Of course, the bonus is that all my layouts are also backed-up in case of disaster.)

My scrapbook struggle is too many pictures and stories to tell and lack of time to do it.

I have some really fun recent pics of my adult sons, pics of DH getting Teacher of the Year award, etc, but I just have to get their baby books done. Last crop I did work on current stuff to change it up.

I have been working on those baby books on and off for YEARS.

I want to scrap the pics that they would not be able to - my life, heritage, etc. Many of those are done but so many more to do. But the current pics are fun to scrap!

My second thing is the piles of scrap supplies I have. There is very little organization and as a result I forget what I have or where it is. Fortunately I have so much stuff that when I can't find something I usually find something else that will work just as well.

My choice is to not take it personally - people have opinions. Particularly people here.-Peabay 12/29/11

Two things are slowing me down right now...and that's not a good thing since I am already a slow scrapper!!

#1: I feel like all my pages are looking the same.

#2: I have a huge (I mean HUGE) collection of photos from a trip I am trying to get through and I get bored with them easily. I occasionally take breaks from them to scrap other things (no problem with that) but now I'm starting to run low of photos other than this trip! I also purchased a lot of travel themed stuff to use and find I am getting bored even with the supplies! I have a handful of the travel photos I have scrapped without using the themed supplies (and I've even worked some pocket pages into the mix) and that has helped but I will be SO HAPPY when I am done with those photos.

Getting started on my daughter's pageant/queen events album, because I struggle with the decision making process in selecting photos. I want to use them all- not practical. I agonize over which one makes the cut- is this one more in focus? Does this one have a cuter smile? Oh, that one has a person with their eyes closed - etc., etc., etc. ... My least favorite part of the process! The actually layout making part is easy peasy and much much more fun!

Disorganization. I can't seem to come up with a plan that works for me. I also cannot be creative if my area is a mess. (which it currently is). Motivation to clean is always an issue for me so it's a self defeating circle.

Waaaay too much stuff! I have scrappin stuff that goes back many many years, some of it from QVC that I thought I just had to have! I have eyelets, metal words, brads, chipboard letters, etc. all of which I just haven't used for a long time!
I love doing pocket pages! I am teaching myself to just keep it about the pictures, keep it simple, and just let the photos speak for themselves!
Every once in a while I think of something I bought and then I can't find it!! Used to be so organized, had one of the crop in style notebooks, Iris drawers, files for papers, etc. but now it's all a MESS.

My mental struggle is also time and guilt. DH is supportive and no one is complaining but I would say only about 25% of my scrapping time do I really feel like I can fully relax and "deserve" it because of the long list of other things I could be doing (fortunately, I'm a compulsive laundry do-er and can plan meals nearly effortlessly, hence the no complaining).

My physical struggle is cramming too much in too small of a space. I purge regularly, but it only keeps it manageable and not functional for me.

Energy is one. And I am trying to scrap my trips from the 80's, trips that I took in high school to some great places in the world. The photos are an odd sizes and the colours are bad in many. I have found doing them PL style which I wanted has been a real struggle. Plus I want to do them justice. I have them an old album that is destroying them but I did label everything back then and I want to recreate it but of course the labels won't come out along with some the memorabilia that I put in, so I am trying to scan those.

Time - weekends are my main time to scrap and right now I have been tied up with my kids' activities
Organization - my scrap room is a mess and I'm not even sure why - like others I have a lot but I purge a lot, but there is still a lot of products I just need to let go.
Lack of a good printer - I use my computer for lots of stuff and not having a reliable printer really throws off my flow and motivation

No doubt, it's having the time to scrap. I am at a stage in my life where other things get in the way. I want to go to my scraproom and create, but other things are more important now. I only get to scrap about once every couple of months these days. I do have a retreat planned with 3 of my friends, so I try to keep that in mind when I get a little antsy.

My scrappy struggle is wanting to scrap with the newest scrappy products but I don't have any in my stash. My husband was laid off from work a couple years ago. He is now employed so I'm looking to update my stash. I'm considering a kit club. Any one have any recommendations for me?

So everyone with too much stash, what do you do with your purged stash? I still have a ton of supplies from when I owned an LSS. There is no way I could ever used 20 sheets of the same paper.
