My craft room is the cleanest it's been in a LONG time and it's summer break. But I have no mojo. Any tips? Any YouTubers I should watch for inspiration?

I don't have any youtube suggestions, but what about a challenge? There is the Stash Busters here on the forum and the 2Ps June moodboard just went up as well. I also like the challenges at Life.Paper.Scrapbook. and there's a new one called Scrap&Play. A lot of the manufacturer blogs also have challenges, so if there are brands you're partial to, maybe check there. Hope that helps and have fun!

I was having this problem, too. My scrapping slump lasted for a couple weeks, but once I got in there and started gathering up supplies, the motivation and the mojo came right back. Do you make cards? I suggest start by creating something small like a card or a journaling card. Happy scrapping!

I'm in the same boat. I don't feel like doing much now that my area is clean. I was thinking about making up some page kits. Sometimes just getting my hands on all that pretty paper gets the ideas flowing and once that happens I just want to make stuff.

I'm hoping to get some time this week to test out my idea...

Just got the majority of mind done!!! I am at work and wishing I could go home and scrapbook!!!

Sometimes for me it is just getting myself started. Once I start I do not want to stop!!

Jennifer - do you do Project Life at all? I find that when my mojo is lacking, I enjoy working on PL because it doesn't require me to be as creative as a layout.

Shimelle always does it for me. Anytime I'm feeling the scrapbooking blues, I just watch one of her videos, and before you know it, I'm back in the saddle!

I was in the same boat till the night before last. I went into my scrap room and started playing with mixed media and I am having a blask. I tend to watch a mix of mixed media and regular scrappers on youtube. I am really loving Irit Landgraf and Tuesdae Hubbard.

Just do it. Sometimes you just need to nudge the mojo.

There are quite a few different scrapping mags on Issuu.com. If you search using "scrapbooking" they should come up for you. It reminds me of the good old days when print magazines were plentiful and fun to read! Some that I've liked are Create, Jot, Storytelling, Life. Paper. Scrapbooking., Michigan Scrapbooker, and I'm sure there are more.

I'm having the same problem.
do you have any photo's ready to go, and by ready I mean printed and available immediately to be stuck down....

Do you have to make a card for anything coming up.
sometimes just a smaller project just sparks the creativeness.

Also have you gone in your room and looked around. Maybe re organize something small..Just being around my stuff makes me want to scrapbook.

Can you put together a kit. Or build some kits.

I agree with mccrafter. Sometimes a smaller project like a card is a great way to get in the groove. A card takes the photos out of the equation and gives you a smaller space to deal with. I often turn to cards when the thought of tackling a scrapbook page is too much. I also do as TracieClaiborne suggests and work on pocket page scrapping when my creativity is low. I guess smaller canvases are a big help for me. Good luck getting your mojo back!

I find that it is best to just do something, so I will take my PageMaps book (still a fave for inspiration for me!) and DO one. I'll "make" myself do it like they do in the book, but once started, I find I totally veer off in my own unique direction, which gets my mojo going!

Welcome to visit the special mojo section at UseYourStash.com. There are a couple of posts on how to find lost mojos. And then there's a ton of inspiration and, of course, the Scrap Stash Kit Club where you can choose a kit and make a similar one from your stash. Hope you'll find your mojo again, soon! Let us know how it's going!

I just blogged about this yesterday!!! vincens.typepad.com I just cleaned my studio after finishing LOAD in May and my mojo went bye-bye. I realised that having leftover supplies from different pages mixing on my table was really helping me with inspiration. I saw ned colour combos or products that would work well together that I never would have put together otherwise. So I put a couple of longer term works in progress back on my desk and boom! mojo is back! Good luck!

I got over whelm just looking through all my treasured stuff. I found this app called CRAFT CABINET and now I just go to what I planned to use. I also add a cabinet on this just to keep photos of the ideas I collect from the web.
This is now my favorite craft tool - crafting for 50+ years
