When you make digital scrapbooking pages do you print them all out and then just place them into an album? |

Oh yes!! I have to print them all out. I spend a fortune on albums (because it is so much quicker and easier to do digi pages that you get more done). I have gone 8 x 8 which helps though.
I print at home on Epson Archival Matte and I love how they look. |

I have been a traditional scrapbooker for 7 years and just recently started digital. I love it. I also found a fantastic place to print my 12 x 12 pages (11.64x12 if you want full bleed) at a very reasonable cost- $2 page plus $5 shipping (without restrictions on number being shipped). They are great and highly recommended...economical, consistant color and cheaper than buying my own ink and paper as they use archival quality inks and paper.

Then when I get my completed pages I place them in my Close to my Heart memory albums which are protected and archival safe.

I print my pages at Costco. They are the most inexpensive I could find that I didn't have to send away for. You can print out a 12x36 sheet which has 3 12x12 sheets for $4.99. I just cut them apart and stick them in my album. They also have a 12x18 for $4.99 that i can order over the internet.

Yes, I print out my pages and put them in albums. I do both 12x12 and 8x8. I use scrapbookpictures.com. They are great quality and customer service. I know some people use their local Costco and MPix. You can look at different places and find one that fits your needs. |

Yes- i create them at 12x12 then resize them and print them at home, then put them in albums. I just made a birthday scrapbook as gift. they looked great! |

YES!! I print them through sbtoshare and put them in my albums. I also make a year in review album in an 8x8 size for my Mom at christmas by re-sizing and printing her favorites from my albums. I try to order once a month, it motivates me to get as much done as I can! |

To my mind, a page is not "done" until it is printed and put in an album (much like paper scrapping).

Yep, I print every single page I create at home on my HP Photosmart 8250 printer. Like Lynn I create and print in 8x8 size and slip them in albums.
I've heard great things about the books we can get printed in either 8x8 or 12x12 at Shutterfly. I might try doing that, too.

I, too, feel that my lo's are not complete until I've printed them and put them into albums. I love printing mine out 8x8, I find that this size in an album is so much easier to handle (show and tell). I use either matte or soft gloss photo paper and love how they turn out.

I sure do print mine out! I have used a company for 8 months now and have printed about 80 12x12 pages. They are printed on regular picture quality paper, the ones your pictures are printed on. A 12x12 page prints for 1.99 glossy or matte. I have gotten both and let me say I have "never" been disappointed in this company. This was the deciding factor in going digital. I Love it! The company is www.scrappingsimply.com. If you sign up for e-mails they will send you a coupon every now and then. Can't beat the price. Oh 8x8 is .99 The quality again...I could not believe how great it was. $5 shipping no matter how many you print. | |

Nope. I don't. I switched to 8 1/2 x 11, and I use a company called Cherishbound.com. I just print it once a year as a bound book. I like it SO much better! The books are easy to store and carry around, they are thinner, and I've found that more people are willing to take a good look at every page when they are so easy to handle. I write all about it on my blog-- Realscrappy .

Yep. I print every digi layout I create. I also still paper scrap and put every layout I create - doesn't matter if it's digi or paper - into albums chronologically. For me if the layouts don't make it into an album, I doubt anyone would ever bother to look at them! |

I print mine in batches. I usually wait until I have 10 or so ready to print and then do it. I use scrappingsimply.com and persnicketyprints.com/
Both have great quality, great prices and $5 flat rate shipping. |

I have tried everyone under the sun for printing. At home was EXPENSIVE when you add it all up. Costco is horrible, I have learned that they don't set their machines up properly for the 12x12 size, and this is why they aren't as sharp & crisp as they could be. My borders got cut off + they were always dark.
Scrapping simply actually sent my order to someone else, and I got theirs... kinda weird. My borders were cut off there too.
The only one I haven't had issues with, everything is perfect from same day turnaround, to borders, colors, price, etc is Persnickety Prints.
If you want to read print reviews, these are good ones...

I used to print them 8x8 or 8.5x11 on my own printer and put them in an album.
Now I upload them to Shutterfly and have hardbound books made out of them.
My family likes these better than the albums because they aren't as bulky. |

Yes, I'm getting caught up just this month! Had 30 pages printed at 10x10 to put in my 12x12 3 ring binder on black cardstock. It turned out pretty nice.
I had my prints done at mypictales.com VERY inexpensive at .50 a page for a 10x10. It's printed on cardstock which was new for me. It reminds me of a heavy page in one of my other photo books I had done from Shutterfly. Colors are not as saturated as a traditional print. Something I may adjust my prints for. Very different than a page printed at say Costco on photo paper. I like it though and think it will work great for my needs.
So now I keep my pages not only catagorized by year/month but have added a folder for printed/not printed to keep them straight!

Make sure your "cardstock" pages are archival. Photo paper is the most true to color and the most archival. I learned this the hard way after a flood in our home. Photo Books are inkjet too.
I will only print my precious layouts on photo paper! Never at Costco. PersnicketyPrints.com is my new fav. Full bleed, no white borders, sharp images, they use my embedded color profile, etc, etc, Persnickety prints | |

oh thank you! I hadn't checked this before having my prints done but went over to their site just now to check and here is what it says:

I have been digi-scrapping for over 4 years now, and have used scrapbookpictures.com and scrappingsimply.com. Both are excellent. (I have also heard good things about persnicketyprints but have never used them). Sometimes they will have a sale at scrappingsimply where you can get 12x12 for 1.49. I too wait until I have a "batch", to save on shipping.
I have also used Costco, and compared their work with the exact same layout done at scrapbookpicutures. Such a world of difference. I challenge anyone who just uses Costco to do this, and comare. You will never go back to Costco!
I have also used MyPicTales, and thought their work was inferior, to say the least. I will never go back to them. Cheap, yes. Worth it? No. |

after paper scrappin for 6 years I have over 1000 paper layouts that's 50+ scrapbooks. I've decided that the digital layouts will only be burned to DVDs. i just don't have the space in my house to print them all out especially since i'll still create a handful of paper layouts each month. |
