Hi Everyone! I went my local stamp club meeting on Monday and we had a shoebox party. Each person comes up with a sample card for the theme ( 2 textures ) and then puts enough supplies in their boxes for 12 people to make the card. We then pass the boxes around and make as many cards as we can in the time allotted. I just wanted to share the ones I made. We have a great group of talented ladies! Please click the link below to see them. We always have a great time with this!

LOL, Willy! Those must be 'boot' boxes 'cause they were chock full of stuff! Thinking 'Paul Bunyan'...

Must be such fun to have friends right there chatting, laughing & getting creative!

I'm a bit unsure about the 'shoebox' contents, tho'. I know you have to make a sample & include enough materials for attendees to make their own pieces, but how much do you pre-do for inclusion in your pass-along shoebox?

And do you use stuff outside the box you pass to work on your projects.

I'm seeing lots of stuff among your pieces that has me wondering what's in the box--embossed, diecuts, punchouts. How about inks & stamps? In the pass-along box?

Would love to see us try a 'shoebox' for a Stamping Forum swap--after SOF, of course.

That is a really nice selection of cards Willy. You can see the different influences in the designs too.
As Daniel says, it must be nice having a group like that to share crafty inspiration, and get together in person.
I very much appreciate all the inspiration and camaraderie we share on line but sometimes it would be nice to be in the same room with some other crafty people.

Yes, Daniel, You put all the pieces in your box to make the card, like inks, stamps, die cuts, card stock, embellishments -- enough for 12 people to make your card. Then we bring our own adhesives, scissors and trimmers and wipes to wipe inky fingers and inky stamps. Yes, it is fun and we all have a great time talking and creating. We have 37 members in our group and have around 20-25 each month. This club has been going for about 22 years! I am very fortunate! Then some of us get together at other times at our homes and a scrapbook store near here.

Thanks for the info about what's in the shoebox, Willy.

22 years? That is so great!
