I wear them almost year round. My floors are all hardwood and I find it more comfortable to have them on. I have worn Isotoner slipper style, but the last couple of ones I have bought wear out in the toe area. Suggestions on your style and brand? Thanks!

I love my uggs. I have also had three pairs of LL Bean's Wicked good clog slippers - they are WONDERFUL! In the summer I usually wear a pair of crocs in the house too.

I rarely go out - I'm home often times for weeks (and even months) straight. I like to have a pair of clogs by the back door for the yard and another pair just for inside. Since this is just about all I ever wear, I don't mind spending a bit more on them...

I prefer some type of moccasin. Right now I'm wearing Minnetonka.

I like them to have some sort of a hard sole or at least a sturdy leather bottom because I don't like the feeling of being barefoot on the floor.

A colleague's mother knits socks and I have about 4 pairs of those that I wear around the house. They're very cute!

I'm not sure what 'bedroom shoes' are!

If you are wearing out the toe, it says to me that they are either too small or you are dragging your toes.

I gave up bedroom shoes. I found they caused vagnial dryness. I do wear hideous pink crocs when I have to stand in my tile kitchen for a long time like when I make jam.

I have a pair of pink kitten heals with fluffy pink goodness on the top that I wear with all of my sexy bedclothes... in the bedroom.

I'm barefoot until it gets chilly out, then I wear the cozy socks from Old Navy that they sell during the holidays. I have more pairs than I'm willing to admit!

Um, this girl was born and raised in the South and when I read your title I thought "what the hell are bedroom shoes?"

So are they the same thing as slippers?

Sometimes I wear slippers-fleece lined in the winter- and sometimes I just wear clogs.

I wear slip on shoes around the house cuz it's faster to put on my yard clogs or boots when it's time to take my dog out.

Bedroom shoes is a new term to me, too, but if you're talking about slippers, I've worn Acorn slippers for years. They are so comfy. I wear the MOC style.

Huh?

OP, I prefer to be barefoot but mostly it's too cold here so I just wear socks.

As for the whole 'what are bedroom shoes?' thing, I just presume that it's slippers. My gf is from Texas and calls them house shoes.

I never heard the term bedroom shoes, but I'm usually barefoot in the house, unless it gets really cold, then I put on a pair of socks.

I never heard of bedroom shoes, but I suppose they are slippers.

We have hardwood throughout the first floor, so I wear them every day. I wear Clarks, Birkis, and Orthaheels.

I have hardwoods throughout and I am barefoot anytime I am at home. I hate wearing shoes. I will wear a pair of socks if it is really cold. Of course that is about 1 week out of the year since I live in Texas!!!!

"bedroom shoes" had me wondering too - I assumed they are 'slippers' and I see that was correct.

I love wearing my bedsocks around the house in winter. I have several pairs and they are so soft and cushiony. But I don't wear them to bed, only around the house.

No, I hate slippers. I have a pair I take when I'm traveling but that's the only time I wear them. DH wears his all the time in the house and the sound of them snuffling along on the floors drives me bats.

I have a pair of UGGS I've been wearing for 2 years. It's time to replace them with something equally nice/nicer but for the life of me, I can't think with what. My colleague is married to a Native American and she says Minnetonka sucks.

I found some places online that sell handmade moccasins, but I don't know.

LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers. And I wear them in every room, not just the bedroom. Sometimes I wear them when I walk across the street to the mailbox. I wear them year-round, even in the summer in Texas, because they really are wicked good.

for everyone going "huh?" over the vaginal dryness comment

vaginal dryness thread by the op

(sitting on fingers because wearing the toes out of "bedroom shoes" is just too ripe with snarky information, like, take them off when doing the mattress mambo but given the vaginal dryness issues ... )

I must be so naive. Not only did I NOT know that slippers were also known as "bedroom shoes" and "house shoes," but I had no idea my vagina/ vagnia could suffer due to their use. As for my feet, I really like KN fuzzy socks, but they can be slippery on a smooth floor. My mom loves her Acorn slippers. I didn't want to ask about her vagnia...

Yes. I have hardwood floors as well. I wear flip flops all summer, but I just switched to my standard old lady, Mom wore them in the 70's, slide slippers with open toes and elastic darts in the sides. $8 at Walmart. Cushy and warm.

For some reason this strikes me as absolutely hilarious. Love it!! lol

ETA: I wear Haflingers. They're kind of pricey, but they last a long time and they have good arch support. I have heel spurs, so I can't wear just anything. These are great. They're wool, so they're warm in winter, but for some odd reason they're also cool in the summer. Doesn't make sense, I know.

I laughed and didn't even read the thread.

I just wear some cheap slippers (mens) in winter and often go barefoot at other times. My feet tend to sweat a lot so I don't like to wear them in the hot months.

BethAnneM those cracked me up cos that's exactly what I was imagining as 'bedroom shoes'.
Now I know you mean slippers then I only wear them in the Winter months, I have a few pairs of hand crocheted ones that I love as they're no heavier than socks.

I would go out tonight but I haven't got a stitch to wear.

I wear fairly traditional, cosy slippers from about September - April usually - I really feel the cold in my feet.

That's not the say there haven't been occasions when I've worn, well, lets say something more along BethAnne's line of thinking

BethAnne I'm so surprised!!

Actually I'm surprised it took as long as it did for somebody to post that kind of photo. Those shoes that are impossible to walk in... Once upon a time I had a friend who showed me her "hooker boots". I don't know that those things were meant to ever touch the floor. Impossible to stand up in, let alone walk.
