are the SU ink pads good for heat embossing?
I'm using the colored ink and embossing with some Ranger clear embossing powder that I just ordered also... not sure if it makes THAT much of a difference tho? SU REP said that is find for heat embossing..
just wondering?

Pigment or craft inks are better for embossing as the ink stays wet longer. The regular SU ink pads are dye based and dry faster so unless you are a really fast heat embosser I would use a different ink pad. SU only has the black and white regular size craft ink pads, they use to make them in most of the other colors but discontinued those a while back. Versamark ink pad is also good for embossing but then you would need colored embossing powder. | |

Although the new ink pads seem to be much "juicier" than the old ones and i wonder if they might be able to use with embossing powder? I think i'll give it a try, i have several of the new ones on hand. I'll let you know! Oh, and ditto what Luci said! |

I use the craft one just fine (but mine are in colors) and I just wanted to suggest to get a jar of their heat and stick embossing powder then you can add glitter after you've embossed..or flocking..it's kind of cool. |
