I was just thinking I haven't scrapped b&w pictures in quite a while. I'll have to get some printed soon. I enjoy scrapping b&w over color photos. I like a red, black, and white layout. I also love pink and aqua with b&w pictures.

I probably use more red/pink/light blue (love pink and aqua) than browns and greens, but that's just because I scrap more with those colours anyway. I used one B&W photo with a purple and gold colour scheme and it's one of my favourite layouts. Have fun and try something a bit different!

I love black, white, and red. I would also use royal blue or pink. I don't like the idea of using yellow, but then I don't really like yellow anyway.

I wouldn't use browns or creams either, because in my mind, that would clash. I would use a sepia toned photo if I wanted to use browns or creams.

This sentence stuck out to me in such a funny way. Without giving it any thought I guess I was planning on using my go-to colors. Maybe I just will try something different. I'm such a creature of habit.

When I scrap b&w pics, I use papers that match the "mood" of my LO.

Kid photos, brighter colors.
Portrait photos, maybe more subdued colors, but not always

I let the theme or mood affect my color choice as the pics in b&w are neutral and almost any color will work.

Whatever colors I want! That's part of the beauty of black and white photos. I do tend to use brighter colors on those LOs though.

I agree with bright colors, the b/w pics pop on bright colors.
My gap favorite is Teal/turquiose, and red

I'm all about the bright colours but I think they look especially great in combination with B&W photos.

I don't like to use B&W pictures really, because I get so much inspiration from the colors of the photos. (I guess I'm kind of weird that way.)

But, sometimes I need to use them. In those cases, I tend to draw colors from what colors I know would be there, or from the theme of the event. For instance, one event where I only had B&W photos to work with was a birthday a few years ago. For some reason, I have scrapped those photos just for fun a lot, even more than this year's 50th birthday. I know I was wearing a lime green dress to that party, so most every page has had lime green in combination with other colors, and those other colors were kind of birthday-festive-bright-girly colors too.

But if it was an outdoor type photo, I'd probably be more inclined to use earth tones. But even there, orange and green brights more likely than more muted tones.

i do about one a month and love the flexibility of B&W photos when it comes to chosing what to use with them. the latest is grey/cream/kraft/

and before that it was kraft/pastels (pink/yellow/blue)
