Gallery search...I can't seem to find what I want! I miss the old days of being able to search by title. All I am trying to do is find Layouts about kids at the park. Uuugh!! (I think the problem is if you put park in the search field, even if you narrow the universe, you get anything with Echo Park as a tag...)
How would you do this?

I'd probably search by theme and maybe add some of the other search restrictions listed on the left side of the page. "Park" isn't one of the themes, but you could try "Outdoors" and then narrow it further by clicking more of the themes, the LO size you want, the amount of photos, and so on. | |

I know what you mean, as I do similar gallery searches to help me plan layouts. When that became more difficult on Two Peas, I changed up the strategy, and Two Peas' gallery became more of a tool to help me figure out options than the starting place.
I start now with a sketch from somewhere. My next step is using scrapbook.com's color picker. I do that because while it does pick the dominant color in the photo as some of the color options, it also shows others that would look good with the page. I then choose a color scheme based on that, pick papers and sometimes embellishments in that color scheme.
And if I then need more inspiration, Two Peas gallery is next. Given the subject of this layout, I wouldn't care if every example was a child playing in a park. If you used the themes "outdoor" and "children" and then typed "park" as a third search term, while you'd have a lot of Echo Park, it would be used to showcase kids playing outside at least. And you might also be able to further narrow down the options by choosing the dominant color you want to use as one of your options. |

Thanks ladies! I will try some of those other key words. I was really looking for some creative titles. I have so many "at the park" or something similar...but I will try swing, slide etc. Not sure why I didn't think of that!
Ellen, I have never heard of that color matching tool. Sounds cool and worth a look!!
Thanks again all! | |
