This is the time of year when I want my own scrap day...("yes, kids, you may watch unlimited amounts of cartoons and eat all the cereal you can hold!"
I was thinking I would get much more done if I would actually prep a little...maybe tag and print some pictures and, if not make kits, get some friendly products together in some piles. And of course, make sure we are stocked on toliet paper and something for the crockpot
Anyway, anyone else feeling this way? What is some of your process to get setup for a scrapbook day? it has been a really long time since I have been able to put aside a day for my craft, and I am excited...

I've done a few of these before. I make sure I have junk food and things the kids can cook. Then I tell them to only bother me if someone is bleeding, LOL!
I always start out my day of crafting with a clean area. I always have photos printed out and I store all of my PP in kit form so I can normally have a productive session.
Good luck and have fun! |

I have to leave the house to have one of those days. I signed up for the dec 30 crop at Archiver's for next Sunday. I get off bedrest on Monday and I'll start packing my kits then. I layout 7-10 batches of pics, add paper and cs, add embellies, add journaling spots and stamps, then cut any silhouette files I'd like. I also print sketches I'll use.
I have bags and boxes of extra embellies and stamps that are always in my tote, too, for extra touches I didn't anticipate.
I'm looking forward to it--I suspect it will be my last for awhile as baby 2 arrives in February. |

I am kinda scrapping today, I have been working on Christmas tags and cards. I finished the cards yesterday but need to finish the rest of the tags so I can wrap presents. Then I need to finish up blocks for my grandson. I can't wait to get back to scrapping layouts!!!
My kids are all grown but I watch my DGS who is 16mths M-F and can relate to not being able to scrap while he is here.
Vexed Angel: I bet you are ready to scrap. BUT take it easy & don't lift anything heavy...do I sound like a Mom or what |

I'm 27 weeks pregnant & had some minor spotting this week. Nothing the Dr was concerned about, but made SO very very nervous. So instead of helping him patch & paint drywall today, I've been banished to my studio with strict orders to sit at my desk with my feet up.
Twist my arm a little harder, honey! Lol |

I have along holiday break and don't have to be back to work until the 27th. I'm looking forward to spending the entire day after Christmas in my scrap room. |

I love my scrap days but I do have to plan ahead. I make sure there are snacks in the kitchen and a meal ready to heat and eat. Sometimes I'll buy the kids a new movie, game, or toy so I know they'll enjoy the day, too.
I'm planning on at least two scrap days for myself over winter break. I've been working on editing pictures the last couple of days. After editing I need to kinda sorta plan layouts so I know what size to order, then upload, order, and pick up. It's a long process when I want 100+ pictures but then I'm ready to scrap for a long time. I don't make kits but since I'm a frozen pea I will sometimes set out an embellishment or two that I would like to use at some point during the scrap. |

I'm actually scrapbooking for the first time in a while! PL had kind of sucked my drive out for a while. I'm not really doing any prep work, just diving right in. |

I hoping to have a scrap day next Saturday. I have to make sure the house is in order or else I spend the day half heartedly scrapping and half heartedly cleaning.
On Saturday I want to put together a couple of paper kits for my upcoming weekend crops. And I think I'll make a point of finishing up some layouts that are not quite there yet. |

How do you all have time to scrapbook so close to Christmas??? I have tons of wrapping still to do and then on to cooking.
Plan to leave two weeks before! We are housesitting for friends so we are not at home. That meant I had to have all the cards made, addressed, stamped and mailed; all the presents purchased, wrapped and shipped; all the candy (presents) made, and, myself packed before 12/12. So, instead of having all the right-up-to-Christmas stuff to do, I have two weeks to hang out with family and friends and actually enjoy the season (especially going to Target without that crazed look on my face that I am seeing on so many other faces right now!).
I would so love to be scrapping right now, but with all the stuff I had to pack (clothing and toiletries for a month away, presents for family, candy for family, and special clothing for CHA, all of which had to come with me on the plane), there was no room for my scrapping stuff.
I am tempted to make a trip to the LSS and pick up a few things and a Smashbook just so I can scrap something! |

I have to leave the house if I want to get a days worth in. I make my own page kits and cut whatever I need with my cricut before.
I am lucky to have 2 trips planned in February. One is a day from 8 am- midnight, and another is an entire weekend!

I haven't scrapped since August because of a move. I have the next two weeks off and plan at least one entire day to scrap!
I have all of my pages from 2011 done. Half are in albums and the other half are in protectors but need to be embellished and journaled. My goal is to get through at least half of that stack and get them put away in albums. Since the pages themselves are done, I figured this would be an easy way for me to get back into scrapping after my break without getting overwhelmed!
Fortunately for me, everything I have is organized in my new scrap space. |

Oh yeah. I can't wait to just dig into my supplies this holiday season. I don't have to be mom's taxi... drive around with multiple distractions. I love it when the whole day is ahead of me and all i can do is play.

Finally got back to some scrapping this week after being occupied with Xmas preparations since Thanksgiving. I did 4 pages that turned out well, then got out Easter 2012 pictures to think about scrapping next.
After the Easter pictures I start into the masses of pictures of the new granddaughter born the week after Easter....I might never finish those!

Too late for this year, and even though I am not *that* busy, I still have not gotten as much crafty stuff done, as I thought I would.
Just a while I ago I was telling DH next year we should make Christmas a non-event. It just seems like so much work.....(sigh)
