I have a silver Tsukineko Brilliance ink pad, and it's pretty good, but a little pale sometimes.
What are the best silver and gold ink pads, with the best coverage and a good metallic finish?
I don't want to use a heat gun or emboss.
Thanks!
Ashley. |

To be honest, I have been stamping for 10+ years and I haven't found a gold and/or silver ink pad I like. If I want metallic colors, I will heat emboss, which I know you said you would rather not do. Maybe you could use a Sakura Stardust pen or Copic Spica pen to trace what you have stamped. I'd love to hear someone had found something that is a real winner! |

sorry... I was going to say I love the brilliance pads.
Have you thought about trying metallic paint? |

I don't want to trace over in pen or use paint because I want to stamp in finer images. Labels, background text, etc.

The best gold, IMO, is THIS one:

Needs no embossing; dries very quickly.
I haven't found a silver I really like.

I have one that I'll have to check the brand on that stamps brilliantly but I hate to try to clean it off my stamps. It never comes off all the way.

Great question!! Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions for great coverage. I do have a comment on the Delicata though. I like the color, but it isn't a very bold/bright coverage

What about using the silver and gold ( or bronze) distress stains. They are great and don't need to be embossed.

I saw a video where they applied smooch ink directly to stamp. I just got some gold & silver and will give it a try tomorrow. If it works, I will post a sample.
