I was itching to have a challenge to work on, so I created this photo inspiration challenge. Please read the Challenge Blog to see the photo you will be using as inspiration.

I tried to keep the requirements to a minimum, but there is an image stamping requirement.

This will run through 1/21 (Martin Luther King Day).

Please let me know if you have any questions and I hope you like the photo. I tried to pick one that I saw from a few different ways. I hope you will give this challenge a try!!

I love the idea of this challenge and I hope to be able to participate...if only I can get to the surface of my crafting table in time!

I was very nervous about choosing a photo, so I am relieved that there are even 4 people interested. I hope the time frame works for most, I don't mean to hurry folks, but I, like many, need a deadline sometimes, or it just doesn't get done.

Great photo and challenge, Heidi! I've got some stamps in mind(that I've never used) for this. Thanks for hosting a fun challenge

I will be playing as well.

Also - is the cardinal a photo that you took. It is so beautiful. I am originally from the midwest and loved the cardinals. Now live in Utah, no cardinal here. When we lived in Arkansas, we have a cardinal nest in the holly busy outside my son's bedroom windows.

Jut wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying your colorful pictures.

Likeyan, I wish I took the photo, but I didn't. I snagged it off pinterest. I used to have time for photography, but it isn't something I can do easily with little kids, unless I am trying to photograph them! They can get into a lot of trouble during the time you are trying to take a photo!

Glad everyone is working on this. My card is started, but not put together yet.

I hope to be done with my entry today. It needs some embellishment, just not sure quite what yet.

ETA: Here is my card
Soft Floral
I'm not completely happy with all the leftover space in the card, but I am calling it done.

Here are my 3 cards - I actually made 4, but didn't uplod the 4th. Liked using a whole sheet of paper, and having no left overs.

I loved the roses in photo image inspiration and they lent well to a vintage like card.

Had fun.

Lickeyan, your cards are very beautiful. I've left a comment in the gallery. It is wonderful you were able to make 4 cards! I'm so happy you participated.

I made an ATC for this challenge. My first, so don't sneer at it - it's harder than it seems, to make an ATC, rather than a card.

My 'Books' ATC

Thanks for the challenge, Heidi! As a reader, I was literally 'inspired' by the photo!

ETA: Forgot to add, Heidi, that my project won't show up in the challenge blog because it's a glitch with the 2Peas app (and it's SOOO much easier for me to post projects thru the app). Sorry about that.

Lovely project, Christin! Left a comment in the gallery. That is weird that it doesn't connect to the challenge blog, is that a known 2peas issue? It is easy enough to visit the gallery projects from this thread.

Sorry, Heidi, forgot to answer your Q: Yes, 2Peas knows about the problem but I don't think they're planning to fix it, cause someone told me they alerted them mid-last year! I put in a ticket and apart from a "we'll pass it on to tech" reply, they haven't got back to me. I might try again with WF13 coming up, cause that's when it's really inconvenient.

Finally got this done. Not totally satisfied with the result, I wanted the colours to look softer but I can work on that later.
In any case time is running out and so is the ink in my printer so here it is.

Here's my entry for the photo inspiration challenge. This was a fantastic challenge! I really liked putting a card together this way. I also entered this into Sarah's Horders challenge, since I've had this colored image sitting in my unfished project basket for a while.

My card

Thanks Heidi, this was a great challenge

Yay! I made the challenge deadline! I enjoyed the journey this inspiration gave me. Sun thru the window, a well loved quilt and of course a good book.
Thanks again.

Great cards Marshia and LeighAnn! Everyone still has through today (midnight CST, I think) to submit your cards.

If you would like to host a Photo Inspiration now or sometime in the future, just PM me. Rotating hosts could be fun if people are enjoying everything
