This looks impressive! I have the MS score board which has an envelope "thingey" that I have never even tried.
I wonder how much this costs... TFS! |

well that is a neat tool! I like that is has a punch to cut out the areas for you so you do not have to do by hand.
I have Martha Stewart's scoreboard and I use it all the time to make my envelopes for my cards and I really like it! But I do have to cut out the intersections by hand and if I want to clip the edges, I use a corner rounder punch to do so.
TFS though! Wonder if they carry it in brick and mortar stores.... |

I like the looks of this!
I have the Martha Stewart Scoreboard and I also use the old-fashioned create-a-lopes, but this looks pretty awesome. For me, the determining factor is going to be the price. |

Uh oh, I'm sorry to be the party pooper My thought on seeing the envelope punch was, yes, it's cool. BUT, is it worth it's space? I guess if you make a lot of envelopes it might be worth it. I don't make that many envelopes and I can do the same thing with the scoring board, scissors and corner punch that I already own. Oh yeah, and I think I also have one or more envelope templates.
Yikes! That just doesn't sound like me! I think my friend/organizer put words in my head! And I hate to tell you nazzy, she made me purge too !
All that said ... I will probably pick it up, admire it, put it down. Pick it back up, put it down. Ahh, a coupon! Well it's ONLY $$, cave, and buy it!!

Hi! I just dropped by to see what you stampers are up to--I usually post on the GS.
I make envelopes with my MS scoring board all the time. You can punch out the intersections using the corner of a square punch and use a corner rounder to round the corners.

I have lots of templates. I still have to create my own because I end up with the weirdest size cards. I'm trying to avoid all that by making standard sized cards, but that isn't always the best size for my images. I have the MS scoreboard, but I'm not crazy about it, and I've never used it to make an envelope. I use ScorIt for my folds. This envelope score board looks awfully good to me.

i have the scoreboard too daria cant seem to be good at it, i hire my mom she can make envelopes by herself, gave her old xmas paper pad and does it, so this would be good for me too, i tend to do 5 x6 and thats the size i seem to like my cards, i have problems doing smaller ones and those are hard to find..
cindi,,, guess what between you and me, well now the board knows i PURGED
a LOT the last few years. for the childrens hospital and after school program kiddies, i probably will be going through some old stmaps.
i haven't bought one in years, i seem to like digis now.
yes i purged... LOL | |

Here's another video introducing the board. You can see it up close. It looks like the largest envelope is 6" x 8 1/2". That's big enough for anything I would make.
Envelope Punch
My only reservation would be the punch itself. The only punch I have that never gives me trouble is the corner rounder from Creative Memories. I've had it for as long as I've been stamping (over 9 years), and it still punches perfectly. I wonder how well this one would hold up.

that does look cool. I usually use my die cutting machine with an envelope file I have and it will cut it out...the only downside is you can't really cut right to the edge of the sheet you have to leave an outside edge, so it means that your maximum size envelope is smaller. It does make envelopes I like thought with longer flat flaps instead of the ones that come to a point.
it sounds like a lot of you make your own envelopes. Can you tell me what you use as glue to close them?
It's not a problem to me, for cards that I am going to send myself, I have several different types of adhesive I can use to close them but if I am making a set of cards as a gift where someone else will need to seal them I have a problem. As of now I have been making only standard sized cards and using purchased envelopes but I'd rather be able to make my own in whatever size I want.
I've heard that there is a glue that you can put on and let dry and then later the person can moisten it, just like the glue strip on purchased envelopes but I can't find that product anywhere.

Joanne, I use Stick Lick & Stick on the flap. The only trouble is that it sticks like you wouldn't believe. We were all laughing when it came time to open the card the first time I used it. We had to totally destroy the envelope because that stuff was not coming undone. Now I use sparingly.
When assembling the envelope, I use my ATG gun. Sookwang Tape is also a safe bet (often sold as ScorTape and other brand names).

Thanks Daria that sounds like exactly what I am looking for. now that I have a name it should be a lot easier to find.
I mostly use my ATG gun for the envelope assembly, itself and even for the flap on those that I mail myself, but it's harder for ones I want to give in a little set or something.

I want one! I hope they would just sell the punch...I already have two MS scoreboards and a Crafter's Companion one (if that is the pink/purple thing), plus an Aleene's box maker. I will try and refrain from buying this, but I really really like the punch!
Never thought of using a square punch, but I'm not even sure I have one!

saw the actual WE R Memormy Keepers post and it is to retail for $19.99 just told our local store about it and she found it already listed from a vendor $19.99 so will order some. I have envelope diecuts with my Accucut machine but want this for just one envelope now and then. Great concept and really thought out with all the size choices listed right on the grid. easy peasy MUST HAVE

It looks so cool, but I don't think I can justify spending the money on it! I guess I will just have to do with regular old envelopes or ones I make myself without this cool tool!
