Reading the manual for my new camera, it mentions something about Eye Fi cards. I've never heard of them. Not even sure about which one to get if I decided to. Do you have any pros or cons to having one of these? I was thinking it would be great for vacations. Can you tell the camera where to send the pictures on your computer? Thanks.

I looked into getting one when I went on vacation but it wouldn't work with my equipment. I don't remember the specifics but when I Googled it that's what I found out. It was also expensive. I ended up getting the connection kit for my iPad. Every night I would transfer my picture to my iPad and them upload them to Box.net or Picasa so I didn't clog up my iPad with too many pictures.

Doesn't work with my D90 - like my camera turns off before it can transmit.
If I shoot say 9 images, I get one uploaded and that is it.

Love the concept though.

I have the Canon Rebel T4i. Will they work with this camera?

Barb,
Can you elaborate more on this?

I also have the connection kit for my iPad - I can either connect my memory card (for my T3i camera) to the iPad or connect the camera via USB cable (for my XTi camera). It's very easy to use.

I do some basic edits to my pictures (even RAW format) using the Snapseed app. It's free now, but wasn't when I got it!

The connectors look like this:
Amazon: iPad connector kit

I've seen them in stores too.

ETA: I alos have an eye fi card, but I haven't used it yet.

Chrispeas, I have a rebel t4i also and an eyefi card. They work great together.

The t4i has eyefi turned off by default. You will have to go into your settings and turn it on.

Can I be anywhere that has free WiFi and send my pics to the designated folder? Like if I'm on vacation in Hawaii, can I send them to my home computer?

When I review the forums at eyefi.com people are able to upload to their PC via a public wifi. I have not used that because I send to my ipad. I also send to my picasa web account.
