Good Monday Morning! How is everyone doing this week?

Today is a school holiday. We are getting ready for the arctic air to come in. Don't have any fancy plans today, but I might go to the redbox for a movie. Of course, there is always a lot of housework to keep me busy.

I was looking around the 2Ps store last night and I noticed they have the new Hero Arts stamps in! I also was pleasantly surprised to see how many new ink pads they are carrying. Lots of Hero Arts, including shadow inks, Versafine, Versamark etc. Yay!

Afternoon Heidi (& All)!

Mom's watching the Inauguration festivities. I'll pass.

First off... 'My' meatpies turned out pretty good. I'm having some more for my supper today. Mom's not sure what she wants, yet. For Heidi: The recipe is really simple...

1. Make the filling by cooking up beef & pork (with lots of bones). Pick the meat from the bones & add lots of diced taters & onions, plus salt & pepper. I add parsley (dried) when the veggies are fork-tender.

2. Make the crust. We just use Bisquick to make a rolled bisquit dough.

3. Assemble. Place the rolled dough in a baking dish & fill with (well-drained) meat & veggies. Cover with more dough. Bake @ 350 for about 45 minutes.

4. Serve pieces in deep bowls with broth ladled over.

We've done this dish with leftover turkey, too (boiling the carcass to make the broth).

Heidi. What was the filling for the one you had with marinara? Sounds interesting.

Cold today & gonna get colder over the next few days, but not all that bad. 'Least no storms heading our way!

Crafting. Getting some pieces ready for tomorrow's pickup. Wanna start some other projects today.

With WF not all that far away, Im dedicating a bit of my brain to considering whether & what I might do.

Nice to see some new StamPeas & some other Peas posting to various threads.

Catch y'all later. Have a good'un!

Happy Monday!

It's a chilly one here but the sun is shining so that's nice. It makes it not seem as cold!

I had a nice visit with my parents this weekend and just finished up lunch with some homemade cabbage soup that my mom brought. It was deelish.
We're having beef stir fry for dinner tonight.

I've got some work and housework to catch up on so not sure if I will get some crafty time in today, I'm hoping to sneak in a few minutes at least.

Heidi, I checked out all of the new Hero Arts stuff in the store. I'm really tempted to put some of my Christmas money to use! Several stamps caught my eye, and I really don't need anymore stamps but its hard to resist!
I've heard nothing but good things about their inks and have a few I wanna try. I remember seeing a YouTube video where there was a mentioning of one of their midtone brown inks that works great with Kraft cardstock buy can't remember which one.

I'm off to get some work done, chat with you all later!

I finally finished my last card for the design team last night and uploaded the pics and instructions today. That always takes awhile to do! Will be sending them off tomorrow. Hubby and I went out for lunch today -- had chicken pot pie and salad and brought some of the pot pie home. Had pizza for supper. Good evening to all!

Good Morning!

There's definitely a nip in the air. High is gonna hit 20 (if we're lucky). Had a small shot of snow yesterday--enough to coat the walks. No plans to go anywhere today. Brrr is the 'word of the day'.

Want to get a (Fe tag done for Beady. Have an idea. Shouldn't take tons of time, but we all know how that is... Finished my card for Christin's challenge. Fighting the urge to fuss with it.

I'm letting my brain 'stew' a bit for WF. Think I have the 'start' of any idea for a challenge. We'll see.

Nothing special on the food front. Might do hot turkey sandwiches for supper. There's something comforting about gravy on bread. Definitely a hot cup of tea to drink, too.

If it's cold where you are; stay warm as you can. If it's hot; stay cool as you can. And keep crafting, of course!

Good Morning fellow Stamp Peas!

It's a chilly one here today, the high should be around 26 today, BRRRR!
I'm checking out the boards and enjoying a cup of coffee before I start on some work for the day. Not much going on today, I want to finish up some challenge projects if I can. I've really been wanting to paint lately and have a canvas I've been working on for a couple of months that I really want to finish. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the start of a new year or being stuck inside for a while but I always get the urge to do some redecorating and organzing.

I'm working on some ideas for my March tag swap and will be posting a sign up thread for that a little later this week.

Food front, I'm thinking some spicy oven baked chicken and rice. Still not sure, but definitely want something warm and filling.

Well, I had better get busy if I want to get anything done today! Have a good one!

Hi everyone!

Visited relatives over the weekend and found a few stamps at M's clearance sale. yeah!

Everyone's food sounds yummy! Need to start thinking what we're having for super tonight!

Suppose to be warmer today! Since we're on the south side of that cold front everyone's getting, then it's warming us up---suppose to be 65 today!

Heidi, I saw that last week you asked if anyone was doing the virtual library thing---I am!! Love that it just ~disappears~ after the 2 weeks! I finished my first virtual book last week and have 2 checked out that I am starting this week. Joined my in-laws library over the weekend so I can also browse their virtual library--such fun!

LeighAnn I am happy to show a photo(s) of my basket. I took some photos and here is the side as it sits up above my cabinets in the kitchen and a photo of the inside of it--hopefully they do not come out too large!!:

Tidying up today and may get to start the next card I need. Which reminds me---I so wanted to do Heidi's photo card challenge! But maybe next time---lost track of time with everything!

Well need to check a few more threads before lunch! Everyone have a great day!

ETA: The photos did come out kinda large!

LOL, Melissa! Yeah. Maybe just a tad large on the pix, but love the basket!

Seeing your basket reminds me of some classes I taught back in the '80s for the Indy craft store.

We started with ready made baskets similar in style to Melissa's. Students chose ribbons in various widths, colors & such. Then we wove them to 'cover' the basket's weave. We added bows & more to transform them into Holiday (Easter & Christmas) & Occasion (Wedding, Birthday. Baby Shower, Etc.) pieces.

I could so see stamping being a part of basket-making! TFS, Melissa!

Howdy! It was 17 degrees and windy this morning on the walk to school. We did not get any snow. On days like these, I drink a lot of hot tea!

**Melissa, your basket is wonderful! Great job!
**Daniel, I think the meat pie must have had some sausage in it, but I don't rightly remember, I just remember it was good!
**LeighAnn, I think the mid tone ink you are thinking of is Cup o Joe. I used Colorbox Chalk ink in chestnut roan often with my kraft paper. My favorite (I think!) new stamps is the leafy vines although I kindof would have preferred the cling version. LeighAnn, have you ever shared your paintings?
**Melissa, I'm glad you like the virtual library. I had trouble with a book recently, I might try returning it and seeing if I can check it out again.
**Stampwilly, it must feel good to get all that design work off your plate!

Today I have been perusing some to find a new photo for the inspiration challenge. Of course, that is open to other hosts too, if you like, PM me. I started a card today, and have another unfinished I started last night. I have been cleaning in between crafting, which is what I often do to motivate me to get things done.

Off to make some tea! Have a great afternoon!

Daniel you reminded me of something!---The instructor of our basketweaving class had some baskets where she painted simple tiny flowers on the wider wood sections--and I thought "I could stamp on my basket!!" I probably won't on this one, but I hope to in the future!

I like that idea of weaving ribbon in the basket Daniel! Great idea I'll will have to take note for any others I am able to make! TY!!

ETA: Thank you Heidi and Daniel for your compliments!!

Even colder today. We may get some snow on Friday. I kept the littlest home with a cold today. He's pretty cheerful anyhow.

I need to call and make some appointments today and send some important emails.

I survived another fitness class last night. We did a lot of the weight machines. Apparently, I will know how to use everything by myself at the end of the class. It was difficult to be motivated to go last night in the cold.

I have a half finished Christmas card on my craft workspace today.

Yeah, Heidi, the 'BRRR' is definitely here, too. Jury's still out for how much snow we might get friday>saturday, but we're thinking we might brave the cold tomorrow & do a quick grocery run--just in case.

Got the laundry done & should vacuum. So not in the mood to do much of anything, but managed to finish a card & fool around with a tag for Beady. Not sure where it's going at this point. Think I'll look for a stamp & see if something grabs my attention.

Another cold day here too. Luckily I have no where I need to be so we've been hanging around the house. I did venture out to the mailbox and my Feb tag from Christinmay was there, a lovely surprise!
My little man or (Lil pug as Heidi referred to him last week) is still battling a cold. He seems to be having a rougher day today so I've been letting him play with some stamps this morning. He's not even 2 yet but is well on his way to being a future stamper! He even has his own ink and some stamps!

I've been trying to get some organizing done today and I did finish up some challenge projects. I plan to get them uploaded tonight.

Heidi, I hope your youngest feels better soon!
I think you're right about that hero art ink, I've heard good reviews about the wet cement color too.
I don't think I have shown any of my painting here. I may take a pic of the one m working on when its finished and post it.
WTG, on the exercise class! I've really been wanting to take a yoga class but I want to wait until I'm all clear of this pneumonia first.

Melissa, your baskets are so pretty! You did a great job! Did the weaving make your hands sore?

Daniel, your laundry post reminded me about a load I left in the washer yesterday. I am the worst to do that and always have to run it again!

Last night, I started doodling out a few card sketches. I may host a challenge or 2 after Winterfest with them.

Tomorrow, I'm posting a March tag sign up. I plan to extend the sign up time a little longer this time.

Hope all is well with everyone. Have a great day!

Still 'brrry' cold here, but nothing compared to the lows in the upper midwest. See where some places have highs that are well-below zero! Hereabouts it's sunny & not too breezy--definitely helps.

Mom went (early) for her hair appt. Then she & her friend had breakfast. Cool--in a good way. No signs of frostbite so it's all good. And it appears the next storm is just going to be 1-2" fri>sat. Since mom's had a busy morning we'll do groceries tomorrow. Don't need much.

Hoping to get some crafting done today, but not sweating it too much.

LOL on the laundry, Pug! Lift them weights, Heidi! Stamp that basket, Melissa! And y'all have a terrific today!

Wow, it sure has been cold in a lot of places! We are getting it tomorrow -- only 35 during the day here in the deep south! We are supposed to get ice and a little snow -- would rather have it the other way around! Planning on making a card for some challenges this afternoon. Everyone keep warm and happy stamping!

Everyone sounds so cold!! We had a high of 74 yesterday!!! Today is "cooler---only getting into the mid 60s" the announcer on the radio said---made me laugh b/c it winter!! ---that's spring weather!

Hope everyone gets better with their colds and little one's colds!! Chicken soup all around!

LeighAnn, the basketweaving did not make my hands sore---which I was surprised; I thought it was going to make some of my fingers sore and chap my hands (b/c of soaking the reeds in water before weaving) but my fingers and hands were fine! yeah!

WTG with the workout classes Heidi! I am not limber at all and that has always made me hesitant to take yoga classes. I do want to start some of my exercise videos I have that are fun--one is a weight lifting one. It's easy and fun---did I say FUN!?!

Your tag you received Leigh from Christin reminds me I need to finish my instructions up and mail mine to Kathy!!

How your pneumonia coming along LeighAnn? I hope it is "going away" rather than "coming along"!

oh and I would love to see some of your paintings LeighAnn!!

Have fun crafting Daniel and Kathy!

Hope everyone has a great day!

I am so tired of being cold!!!! Our high today was 7 degrees. And with the windchill we've had lots of below zero temps the last week.
My cold is almost gone. Still have the lingering cough and stuffy nose.
I wish I could get the motivation to exercise. I just don't have it when it's this cold!
I mailed my Feb tag today. As I was writing the instructions I realized I didn't do any stamping on it! Hope that doesn't disqualify me, LOL
I'm hoping to get some more unpacking done tomorrow. The kid is off tomorrow instead of being off Monday.
Your basket is awesome Melissa. I remember getting a basket made from banana leaves in Hawaii a few years back, but I can't find it now. Musta got left to the other half in a previous life, hehehe.
Been bad with food lately. Mostly frozen stuff... lasagna... although I did make a yummy corned beef and cabbage in the crockpot one day. Hubby loved it.
Please please somebody send some heat our way!

Hi everyone!
I've been busy today doing some organzing and trying to get caught up on housework. Not to mention my least favorite chore, laundry.
We're supposed to get some ice and now too, Stampwilly. I'm hoping they're wrong!

Daniel, I've enjoyed your Bang for your craft buck thread. Lots of cuttlebuggers here!

Melissa, that is some spring like weather! I hope you've been able to enjoy it! As far as work out videos, I haven't been able to find a fun one! I used to do the 30 day shred one. It's hard at first but it's so fast paced you are finished with it before you realize it. The pneumonia is coming along, I've still got this annoying cough. I had started running again before I got this so I'm looking forward to getting back at it.

Kathy, no stamping on your Feb. Tag? Your banned! Just kidding. I'm sure it looks great! I hope your cold goes away soon. That's the worst when you have that lingering stuffy nose/cough. I'm sure the 7 degree temps don't help.

Not much else going on here, I started a sign up for the March tag. I extended it for a week for the sign up. Lot's of twists for this one!
I hope you all will be able to participate.
I've been thinking about another form of a montly challenge but not sure if I want to make it a swap too or not.

Tomorrow's agenda, more cleaning.more laundry. I'm determined to get everything caught up this week!

Stay warm everyone!

Hi all!

Oh, you poor cold things! I've just got back from a beach holiday, and the weather was spectacular!

I was able to check in here briefly every day with free wi-fi (yippee! ), but have a bit of catching up to do! After the laundry (incidentally, LeighAnn, one of my least-hated chores! . Can we swap? I'll do your laundry and you do my... ).

Here in Utah, we are having a heat wave - 30 degrees. Yesterday was really bad - I have been told. It rained the night before and then turned to ice - very slippery and hazardous, even airport is Salt Lake shut down. I was in a bubble all day and didn't know about the ice storm.

After a year of a very messy craft room, it is neat and tidy now. I can see all of the floor and vacuumed it all and even dusted.

Next project is to file away a lot of stamps - that to has been the same situation for over a year. I am going to file 10 stamps a day. wonder how many days that will take. I think I will keep track.

They changed my total knee surgery to a scope. My scores were too high, meaning my knee isn't bad enough yet for the total knee. The arthroscope will be on Monday. Trying to get as much done before as I can.

About finished up all of the current challenges.

Lickeyan, good luck with your scope! LeighAnn, glad to hear you are improving, but those coughs do hang on forever. Kathy, I haven't been that great with meal planning lately, but replenished the pantry and fridge this week, so I need to get onto using that stuff up!

It is cold again today, but I think I am used to it now. I heard we will have a day in the 50's next week! This morning I went to help in DS's classroom. It was fun, went fast because there was a lot to do.

Laundry is something I don't mind doing, I don't mind folding, but I really hate putting it away! And I also sometimes forget to put the washer stuff into the dryer and then have to rewash it. That's always a bummer.

I am debating making a 2ps crafty purchase soon, I am so indecisive though!

I may have time to craft today, but I also have a bunch of stuff to do around the house. I'd really like to take a nap, but that isn't going to happen! Have a happy Friday!

While it's not balmy, it's not too bad today. Temp was about 20 when we did the drugstore & supermarket, but lack of wind made it less uncomfortable than it might be. Less sunny as the snow comes closer, but still expecting just an inch or two of powdery stuff. Like Heidi, we're expecting a 50 day next week--I'll wear shorts.

Trying to finish up a Feb tag & see what else is on the craft burner. Need to go thru some stamp envelopes & transfer some off the work table. They pile up so fast.

Best get cracking, huh? Seeyalater!

Hello and Happy Saturday! It appears that TwoPeas and a lot of other crafty websites were hit by some kind of malware in the last 12-24 hours. TwoPeas says that they removed the code, so hopefully all is fine. I think my computer software blocked the intrusions, so hopefully all is well.

It did snow last evening, a couple inches of super sparkly stuff! It is still cold for the time being so it is sticking around for a bit.

I am hoping to get a real idea for the Say it With Pictures challenge, so far, I don't have a phrase yet, just words... It sounds like we are getting into gear with Winterfest!

The weather folk got it right. Like Heidi, we got just a few inches of easy-to-move snow & the storm was over quickly.

Got my (1st) Feb tag on the gallery with an assist from my swapmate Sweetlymade (Heather). Nice thing is I can use it as a sample for my WF challenge--Mostly Masking.

Have a few domestic chores to tackle--vacuuming & cutting up a chicken for Sunday dinner. We're having fried chicken.

Hoping to put in some craft time today as well.

Y'all have a good today!

Happy Saturday!

We got lucky and the ice/snow missed us yesterday! The temps warmed up just enough.

It's chilly but overall pretty nice today. I went to the grocery store and took care of that for a while. Lots of good buys and too much money spent. I'm hoping I did so good that I won't have to go back for a couple weeks.

Christinmay, beach holiday! Lucky! I'm trying to convince the hubs on a beach trip this year.

LickeyAn, good luck to you on your surgery. I hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery!

Daniel, I will have to check out your tag in the gallery! So excited to see what you came up with .

Heidi, I've had a few things from here that I want to purchase too but like you am very indecisive. I certainly don't need anything but lots of new Hero Arts stamps keep calling my name! I just can't make up my mind.

Got lots of stuff done yesterday on my to do list. I plan to work on some challenges today and I'm going to do some more cleaning/organizing this weekend. We had plans to go to a birthday party this weekend but the birthday girl has a stomach bug so I think we will just hang around the house this weekend. Y'all have a good one!

Morning All!

Weather is not bad. Cold, but back to being sunny--which helps. Chance of some mix later today>monday, but then it's supposed to get better by midweek far as temps.

Love my mom, but she's being a pain. Yeah I know--so am I! Anyhoo... I'm making some dinner. 'We' decided to just fry up some wings & she'd like a side of hot lettuce. We saving the whole fryer for another time. I just (part) cooked a batch of wings in salted water. I'll coat some in seasoned flour & fry them for dinner. The rest can be cooked more so mom has broth & chicken for homemade noodles this week.

Neat to see all the Feb tags! And great to see so many joining the March swap!

Ditto 'neat' on the WF challenges. Some intriguing ones.

Anyone else notice that there are several 'older' Peas starting to post on the threads? Cool--and interesting. Hope they'll continue.

I'm pleased with the response to my thread on masking. It's getting good tips & questions. I'm a little surprised to see how many have not tried masking. It really was the first technique many stampers learned after they began to stamp--including me.

Not much else to report. Tonight is Downton. Have the feeling his Lordship's nose is going to be out of joint & what about Enid? Anyone think she'll have a career as a journalist?

Y'all have a good today & even better tomorrow.

Happy Sunday! DS decided to share his cold with me, so now I understand why he's been so grumpy! I'm hoping he will be well enough to go to school tomorrow.

The weather is nice, pretty and sunny, it really does help with the cool temps.

Daniel, I hope you both enjoy your meal after all the trouble it seems you have gone to

LeighAnn, I actually did decide to place an order after it became clear that a Christmas gift I got from DH is going to need to be returned. I did pick up some clearance items in addition to a couple inks and stamps. I hope they arrive before WF! Kathy, maybe you could use WF to help you make your birthday cards?

LickeyAn, good luck on your scope tomorrow!

Daniel, I am enjoying your masking thread, and there are lots of fun threads going on right now.

Not sure what I am doing for dinner tonight, but I am looking forward to Downton!

Hi all,

We did have a lovely beach holiday. LeighAnn, I used to have to "convince" DH, too, but now I've got two little ones begging to go to the beach, too! So he doesn't mind so much.

Pouring with rain today, national holiday (Australia Day), and the kids are at Grandma's! Could this day be any more perfect for crafting?? Going to get into it after lunch.

After today, though, life gets back to normal around here - Summer holidays are over, school, work and regular activities start up again.

Have a great week, everyone!
