I have a piece of patterned paper with big bold, beautiful watercolor flowers. I would LOVE to use it on a LO but I'm not sure how to really showcase it in a LO. I almost want to put it in a frame it's so pretty. Is anyone comfortable scrapbooking these kinds of big bold patterns? Anyone really into florals? Anyone?
Thanks for the help peas

I know what you mean, I have a tough time with those, too.
I haven't figured out how to use it in a lo, but I have used them for cards because then I didn't have to put photos on. |

I usually cut a price of kraft, creme, or white card stock to put my photo + title and journaling on (usually about 7x7 or 8x8) and use the big floral as a background. I find those pages work best with fewer embellishments.
This is one of those times you really have to trust the process. It will look not quite right for a while until it suddenly clicks.
Go for it - I bet you will love the page!

What about as a title page for an album? Or for a page about a story that you don't have any photos? Or if it matches your home decor and you really love it, then why not frame it? |

Indeed Glitter Girl has already been on this adventure! The Battle of A vs B also includes a pdf of page sketches (including some singles and some doubles) that are useful for showcasing a bold pattern you love without it overwhelming your photos.
I hope that's a little bit of help! |

Sometimes I fussy cut the designs out and put them on the page. It looks really nice. The other suggestions here are great too. |

I had a piece that I was intimidated by a while back. I loved the paper though so I cut it down to 9x9 and placed it on a kraft 12x12 . Then I layered my photo mats and embellishments with the two main colors from the paper with more subtle patterns and splashed some i.k on.
There is a LO that I love from Crate Paper that using a bold pattern in a great way, I love it and it gave me inspiration for my page

I was going to suggest fussy cutting for embellishments. I have used these papers for cards that way a lot.

I've been reading through the older posts on Shimelle's blog (I'm a relatively new follower there, and I didn't want to miss any inspiration!) I found this post and thought of your question. It's a sketch meant to showcase a special paper, so you don't have to cover much up! |
