On this Layout. I just posted it to my blog, but I am not a hundred percent on it. I mean I love it but after I posted and walked away it didn't look so good anymore.
Anything would help.

Looks good to me! And I can relate to the "mess" you make while scrapping. A few yrs ago I was making an 8 x 8 album of my son's graduation from college and commissioning into the Air Force to send to him for his birthday. I totally destroyed my entire living and dining rooms. I had stuff on a card table, the sofa, end table, 2 living room chairs, card table chairs, the floor, dining room table and all 4 of the chairs. It was unbelievable. After I got the album in the mail, I took pictures of the mayhem and made a page about it and titled it, "The Look Of Love!" |

Hmmm.... I think your misting / ink splatters look a little too random, and too much towards the edge of your page. It might be better if they were more concentrated towards the center of your page and dispersed out.
Your flowers look fab though and I like the diagonal orientation of your LO.
I totally relate to the chaotic scrapping!! I think I do manage to contain things a little more though - but not much!

I had them more towards the center and added more after I had everything down. Inking has always been one of my biggest obstacles. |

I really like the way you've done your embellishments, the colors and you've done a great job misting.
The only constructive criticism I have is that it feels to me like things are going to fall off the left size of the page because they're at an angle, but I am a tad OCD about things being mostly straight.

If you really want critique... I think it looks nice but the random/messy splatters seem off on the layout because all of your edges are clean. I think if you had inked the edges of your paper and the cardstock that it would feel more cohesive. And there is a bit of trapped space under the title, so maybe move the Pooh Butt into it? |

I think the only constructive suggestion I can add is to move your title in closer to the photos in the open space. It's trapped white space that may be throwing you off a little. I think the title would fit perfectly in that spot. |

You said you feel like something is missing-- what if you tried placing the layout on a slightly darker background so you have a slight border (obvs. trim the edges slightly before gluing down.) it might make the layout feel grounded and more complete.
Just a thought. |

I thought about that. I was also thinking to maybe ink my edges. Around the outside of the 12x12 and on the background layers.
I have decided to let it sit for a couple of days b/c I loved it when I first got done and I think I am over-thinking it. I will re-post in a couple of days if I change it. OR I can just leave it as is. Stop trying to perfect every page and scrap some of the 600+ photos I need to scrap. |

It is a great page. Being right handed and severely left brained, I found it difficult to look at. As I thought about what would make you somewhat unsure; I think it is placement. The main grouping should be in the upper left or lower right, and the flowers in the opposite corner. I found it just a little wonky on my eyes.
As an exercise just copy the page, paste it in Paint and flip it horizontal. It will be all backward, but you can see it a little differently.
I am not a digital scrapper but I will lay out a design take a snapshot and play in Paint to rearrange things. I don't get the layers but I make it work for me.

Love your l/o! Your colors work really well together and your flowers are beautiful. I can't critique your misting becoz' my own is never very good. I think the only thing that struck me when I first looked at your l/o was that maybe I'd move the flower cluster in the upper right corner down closer to the photos/title. You did a great job. It is lovely.
And in the grand scheme of things, it's all about the story, the photo & the memory, IMHO.
25 years from now NOT ONE PERSON is going to say "something looks off on this LO"...I promise.
It's the story, the photo & the memory! Remember that and every single LO that you create will be lovely. |

I tend to agree with *melrose* actually... It may seem slightly 'off' in your opinion, because we are our own worst critics. I agree with the 'trapped white space' comment from KikiPEA, too, but if it was my layout, I doubt I'd re-do it for that.

I think it's a terrific page! I am always looking at my pages after I post them & thinking of things I wish I had changed. I don't know why I can see it so much better on screen then right in front of me but I can & notice all the little mistakes I think I made. I might change a few little things that I can without destroying the whole page but after that I put it in my book and try to remember those little things that I don't want to do again. I don't think my grandkids are going to critique my page. I think they are going to be looking at the pictures and remembering the memories that go with it.
A small tiny idea from me would be to straighten the far right journal box. I think that would probably balance it out a lot more and give the eye something to balance out, does that make sense? I wouldn't do that on this page if it would make a mess but maybe try it on your next? That's just an idea you might hate it and think I'm crazy and that's all good That's what's great about scrapping!
Your page is lovely, love all the colors! |

I think it's really awesome. I think my only issue is it is hard to see where the LO starts and the background ends. As someone above noted, maybe put it on a darker CS so there's a teeny tiny border, ink the edge for better definition or photograph it on a darker background so it stands out better |

I really like it too. I agree with somebody who suggested moving the flower in the upper right hand corner down a little bit. It looks like it is off by itself instead of with the rest of the layout. |

I think it's lovely. My only suggestion is to put a pink flower in the corner of the photo with the banner to create more of a visual triangle for the eye to follow. I would remove the flower spray in the lower left if you do that. I agree with moving the big flower down a bit too. |

I think you need to add a journal bit that pooh butt was your childhood nickname. Maybe on the back of the page if you don't want to add it to the front. I kept trying to figure out what pooh butt had to do with the pic. |
